I wrote this poem early part of this month as a blog posted on my website. It's a common sense/lash out at the president's most harshest critics and haters. These people seem to criticize everything that he does. As an independent, but more over to the base of the conservative side of the political spectrum, I agree/disagree on certain things that the president have done but I'm willing to give him time and show him respect like I did with former president Bush. Bashing just to be bashing and engaging in double standards towards him and not with other past presidents is not constructive criticism. What these people need to understand that this type of behavior is Only making themselves look seriously misinformed and ignorant, not the president!

UTOPIA II
This poem is a reflection of my thoughts about my life and indeed the life of most African people of talent. It is about the wonderful endowment in my life yet my inability to fully realize my immense potential. I wrote it because I was frustrated about my life at the time. (I doubt if that has changed) I know so much yet I earn so little, while in Africa. I desire to be able to change the fortunes of my country of Nigeria positively but I do not have the wherewithal to venture into politics. I think I know the solutions to the economic and social problems of Africa but I do not have the platform to effect the needed reforms or revolution. Then frustration sets it. My poem is all about my canoe outing, to-day, Wednesday, on a sunny, clear, warm day. I described the blue, calm sea, sandy beach, golden sands.
