I guess this one's about idly pissing on a starfish and pondering whether it should have rather been avoided for the greater good. Been there, done that, got the seashirt. Frivolous ... but I suppose there is a deeper meaning, in that we should really respect all life forms, a'la the Buddhist teachings.

I spend a lot of time attuning myself to the grand symphony of nature; every single note, unique yet beautifully integrated into the whole composition of creation. In musical parlance, ''fugue'' = a polyphonic composition of several themes in combined melody. It is in this light that I see, feel and experience Nature.

Along the same lines as THE ASPCA poem, but in a different, more intimate setting. The dog is an allegory for naivete.

I had split from someone I thought was going to spend the rest of my life with. Things happen.. I was diagnosed with cancer and she couldn't stand by me during my hardest times.
