Canoeing on New Year 's day (2010)
On New year 's Day, lucky, as it was sunny, I went canoeing. Instead of going out, with friends, for lunch, I choose sea-canoeing. The sea is fantastic, never alone, breathing, wind, birds, sea-gulls...no boats, or nosiy jet-skies. I was very happy, sun-bathing,in a warm sunny New Year's day, & dreaming,as if i was an explorer, sailing into the unknown.
Alone in New Year's Eve (2009-2010)
In my poem, I wanted to show, that staying alone, on New Year's Eve, a special occasion, was my treat...good. My feelings are that, even, alone, one can be happy,all I did, was read a good book, "The Odyssey', a bottle of wine, cheese & "proscuitto crodo" ...& listen to music. The moon was bright, reflecting light in the garden, as i was sitting in the dining-room. Love is good, a tonic, keeps me living..to carry on..& share my happiness with all....
