this poem s for anyone who like a person morethen everything .
After the death of a friend who was also a song writer and singer, this set of lyrics popped into my head, along with a tune, while I was thinking of my departed friend "Mr. James". I felt like he was singing it to me.
"Dreams of the junk collector" is a sequel to "The junk collector`s bedtime story." It describes in more detail about a favorite American pastime.During the heavy rains of 2011,the areas surrounding Chicago experienced severe flooded streets and basements. The next day, people were throwing stuff out and transformed the town where I live into a picker`s paradise. That was in July, during my vacation! When I returned to work,my colleagues asked me where I went on vacation. I replied with "Nowhere, really." All I had to do was just drive around town and fill up the van with whatever good stuff I could find.I could not fill it up fast enough. Now,that`s my idea of a good time!
This Poem Is Just My Imagination
It was a just for the silliness of insanity competition a friend had set up. We were to rewrite Christmas songs in a vampiric kind of way, and well.. I ended recording my version with a tiny mp3 player (I had nicked from daughter :P) and using an instrumental wav file of the original song (to which I obviously do NOT claim any rights). I ended winning the competition as I threatened to record more rewritten Xmas songs -chuckles and shoves halo back in place-
Fights man with each other for a handful of rice; strangles others' throat which is never nice. Adopts man many a manner to see him happy and wealthy; makes the life of others a hell and creates an atmosphere not healthy. Suckles other's
"Welcome, you Bubble," asked I, "Please tell me one thing. For a moment you come But what us to bring?" Said the Bubble, "I'm for a moment, True, and must vanish soon; But hark you , my man! For me this life is a boon. Life has its own ch
Into the sky the metal eagle soars The roar of the four turbines lifting its wings Higher higher it lifts Its wheels detract Sliding into its belly Flying up up to its destination it turns To it final direction inside its fragile
Just a short rant about the world we live in and how I struggle to fit in.
Dear God up Above Shelter Those in need of your protection and love. Help them find a safe place to stay And erase all their pain away Comfort those who are alone And those who are far away from home. Give them hope and piece of mind That
I've always had an affection for the islands.....even though I;ve never been...the poems I write are what I perceive as song lyrics....but being void of any musical ability...they are just words.
Silent is the sky Silent is the moon Silent is the ocean Silent shall I be soon. Whom will you whisper and whom will you say? 'Me ' will be a 'mummy' Only to turn into some clay. So my soul you save Which is there in the cave Of sins
Walking on the sand...visions return like a lost ol' friend, Let the sun bake me. Watch the dolphins play. Another day missing you. Why do I stay? Feeling the waves...visions return of younger, better days. Let the sun bake me, Hear the laugh
Saw a sad dog so thirsty I gave him my water. Got a big smile today from my neighbours baby daughter. Everything's in colour. Clarity so sharp. This is the effect that you have on my heart. Laughed with a stranger at the bus stop this morning.
on your darkest of days with your lonliest of thoughts. when love seems to have dried up at it's source. (and) time for others may be is a luxury you just can't afford. remember, someone should be thinking about you. words can be given freely y
A parody of Going to the Chapel. I had this coworker back at a job I had up till 2006 and he would do this constantly. He did get written up once, but still continued to do this. I figure he worked about half his shift and the other half did stuff like this to get out of work and he was the highest paid. He was also my favorite coworker which shows how bad some of my coworkers were.
(Lyric) I posted this once before, but figured while Im on the subject of parasites I would stick with the theme..Too far off the deep end?
I wrote this when an old girlfriend put me out on a snowy night in Arkansas. I showed it to her the next day, after I had thawed out, and she put me out again. I called her a B****, to which she responded, ' Thank you ', just as sweet and sincere as can be. She really was one, by the way.
Yesterday was a little dismal and today is still a little gray But I'm hoping before tomorrow comes that you
Parody of one of my favorite show songs, Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader? I think it would be funny to have a show with high school dropouts as the kids helping some contestant answer the questions.
Sometime we wait for a face , sometime we wait for a sound , sometime we wait for a touch in silent DEW...all life long...
Desperate Desire
My favorite rental so far this year is Ted. It's about a boy wishing for his Teddy bear to come to life, and it does. Ted comes running into John's room right after he hears some thunder, "Thunder buddies for life, right John. You're #@$% right. Oh, come on, let's sing the Thunder Song."
Parody of the Beverly Hillbillies. I have a friend who is always talking about winning the lottery. In this country it has become a kind of religion. I mostly despise gambling, preying on the dumb and uneducated. It does give people hope and it surpasses all other forms of entertainment in this country combined.
only something i fell inside of me and its hard to tell when you dont know the word to tell someone about fellings
I wrote this many years ago when I was an aspiring emcee.. I now recite it as a spoken word piece. It is dedicated to Brooklyn, after I moved to the Bronx for a while
only something i fell inside of me and its hard to tell when you dont know the word to tell someone about fellings
Its about how some guys like to hide their pain in front of their friends and girls. But i just want to know why some guys are so proud to the point where they think tears are for weak people. Im saying why hide something so beautiful and true?
Love is its essence. The desire to lavish someone with the power of love has a life of its own.. The feelings that follow such desire are expressive, felt in the inner parts of a being with the ability to empower another, forming a bond.
This poem is a snapshot of a hopeful hopeless romantic. This goes out to all those single who beleive there is someone out there for them in the name of love.
One of my songs I wrote
loving life for life is loving to smile and sing and dance about to walk and run to breath and feel to see and touch to wish then have to give and get "wil
TO DARKNESS..
DEDICATED TO THOSE THAT ARE TROUBLED..
DEDICATED TO ALL MUMS..
Life is short. Forgive quickly, kiss slowly, love truly, laugh uncontrollably and never regret anything that made you smile !
I wrote this poem as lyrics to a melody by my composer son, Sean Damon. You can listen to the song and also see the words here: http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=11145281.
People, who can be trusted are very important, It’s so difficult – being reliable person in life. Always those who are kind have to go through discomfort, But without them world wouldn’t be light and bright.
Let’s listen to the silence – it’s important, We lose so often great and special moments. Just look at sky – it’s full of dreams and light, And our lives – significant and bright. Keep quiet and listen to new baby born, And look at growing sm
Love in the state of mortified sleep would arise and upon you peep but for the grace of God given will i swallow the notion a bitter pill Love in dormancy Love so true Heart unrelenting
It happens when people just leave us and go, When sky turns to gray with cold rains, winds and snow. It happens when tears just cover our eyes And we feel that our hearts are becoming like ice. But any such period has and end and the reason
In my eyes the world is against me And by everyone I'm despised. It hurts to be alone But in my eyes I'm better off on my own. Don't trust man cause God owns my life Put it in the hands of man and he'll kill you with a knife So look through
