Woke up to a new world

We fell asleep in one world and woke up in another

Suddenly Disney is out of magic,
Paris is no longer romantic,
New York doesn’t stand up anymore,
The Chinese wall is no longer a fortress,
and Mecca is empty.

Hugs & kisses suddenly become weapons,
and not visiting parents and friends
becomes an act of love.

Suddenly you realize that power ,beauty
& money are worthless ,and can’t get you
The oxygen you’re fighting for .

The world continues its life and it is beautiful
It only puts humans in cages.
I think it’s sending us a message.

“You are not necessary .
The air, earth ,water and sky
without you are fine .
When you come back ,
remember that you are my guest.
Not my masters

I read this and it tore at my heart string
I wanted to share this. Author is unknown

Road of Life

As I walk this road of life
I see so many roads to take
I see the pleasures and the strife
I see the choices we must make

I've made my choices good and bad
Traveling down this thorny road
Never regretting the choices had
Never collapsing from the load

I walked down those twisted roads
Waiting for a light to shine
To light the path to ease the loads
Never sure which road was mine

Still I walked those roads of strife
With head held high and full of hope
Knowing I would find the path of life
As I learning how to cope

Then you came to guide the way
A guiding star shining bright
Joining me, showing the way
To love and joy beyond my sight.

So here I am a choice so near
Which path to take this day of days?
The one so clear or full of fear
Yeah I cannot choose the way

I must choose the path to you my dear
You light the way so bright and clear
And make the choices ever clear
Come take my heart and lead me dear

Let us leave this path well worn
And venture along the ragged road
We’ll cut our way past the thorn
Together we will ease the load

We will rest at the end you know
In the lovers warm embrace
Sharing love and watching it grow
As we close our eyes to rest in peace.

The Bestest Medicine

Laugh
Laughing that freakin azz off
Laughing it like art of Rembrandt n Van Gough
Laugh even harder when they telling you to stop
Ya may not get it now but oh my gosh when the penny drops
Them 1nes
Try hold it in maybe cover ya mout
Face twitching n itching to let it out
Eye filling with water, trying not to scream or shout
Maybe the environment is giving ya some doubt
Then all of a sudden you forget who is about
The joke too sweet
Forced to skin teet n finally let it out
Feel this energy
Churning in ya belly
Lika burning in ya belly
Signals to the brain saying this shizz is funny
So then laugh a little more
And though your humour might be twist
And though many are butt hurt n pizzed
Feeling positively dissed
Laugh at that shizz too
Laugh at the news
Laugh at the blues
Laugh because it’s a choice that you choose
Laugh at what they say n what they do
Forget the what when or why
The more you laugh the more you’ll realise
Everything is funny
Me I be like Bugs Bunny
What’s up Doc?
To me it’s very evident
Lika present
Laughter is indeed the bestest medicine
Literally
Creating chemicals that stream through the system
They fight to deactivate negativities influence
Very important to laugh at yourself
Though always laugh at everybody else
The laughter renews the health
Some call it blasé
Some will never understand it when I say
Joy really is the most powerful key
Even more powerful than Love n I’ll prove it you’ll see
Without joy there can be no Love
Without smiles n laughter there can be no joy
Now I hope you’re getting my point
Wait a minute let me light this joint
Puff Puff Pass
Get some sensimelia in your azz
Haahaaahaaaa
Laugh man
Laugh woman
Why?
Because life is really a joke
We’ve been tricked into believing do n don’t
Politically incorrect
And every word n action is disrespect
Lighten up
Take a pew
If you can’t then I will laugh at you
Your blue shoes
Your hair do
Your tiny or your giant boobs
If you’re a guy ya may have moobs
My best friend name is YouTube
While they stay serious n focused on problems
I’m in the lab getting ma joy on to solve them
Cos happiness manifests the very best of the blessed
Burning away dark clouds n disintegrating stress
Looking in the mirror when ya feel like a hot mess
And remember life’s for living n everything is just a test
Laugh yes
Laugh hard til that vibration in ya chest
Sings nothing but blessed
I’ve proved it before
Laughter is the key & cure
To open up your mind n hearts spiritual door
A greater tighter connection to your
Higher self
Increase of health
And don’t start about the wealth
What is money really? Just paper
When you’re in your highest joy you become a money maker
Everything manifests naturally
Effortlessly
Spiritually
Because you are at the best you can be
I said it already
Smile leads to laughter
Laughter leads to joy
Joy leads to Love
Such a powerful tool of which we know so little of
Be my guest I’ll be your clown for the day
Laugh at my skinny azz you don’t even have to pay
Lika game come let’s play
This power of joy can n will brighten any day
Let the laughter continue

You're down?

Yesterdays bring sadness
But much more laughter
Hey! Unforgettable experiences
Many struggles but,
Here you are surviving still.

Life is tough and scary
Stand up and welcome tomorrow
Like innocent yet brave
Think like you're not too old but young to worry for tomorrow.

Pray and be brave!

I Can Count To Ten

One day I met Prince Charming
Two weeks later we had our first outing
Three years later we tied the knot.
Four weeks later I saw a spot.
Five hours later " you're pregnant" says doc.
Six months later I answered a Knock.
Seven months pregnant she claimed.
Eight months dating and he says he is being framed.
Nine pics later please forgive me bae he cried.
Ten times I had asked and he had lied.

One week later all his things are gone
Two years later no dad baby Ky has known
Three babymothers after he reappeared
Four children's future is to be feared
Five minutes he begged, accepted three
"Six years baby it can still be you and me"
"Seven will be our magic number for sure."
Eight seconds later I kicked his a** out the door.
Nine lives are already in turmoil.
Ten is not going to be the one I call Kyle.

BEST DATE EVER

Did you know you are my best date!
Incredible isn't my dear friend?
But believe me it must be fate.
It's like you are the straight to my bend!

You fill that place deep in my heart.
Yes you did. It's like I am whole today,
Fresh and ready for a brand new start.
With you around I can make my play.

You lift me up and make me strong.
Raise the bar of happiness I knew.
Promise me, you will stay very long
And be above all; honest and true.

This is my best date ever! You better believe!
I don't need a lot more that I have now.
I didn't have to ask, but I did receive.
The perfect date ever somehow!

Isn't it incredible? Fate is what this has to be.
How could it not be? Won't you agree?
It is plain I am sure for all to see.
The best date ever is you and me.

Angel from Montgomery

a lifetime to remember
by waiting to forget
two hands on a fender
sliding down a fret

the speed of the sound
of lonliness
smooth pebbles on a strand
they say God wrote down some music
on the back of JP's hand

I thought I could write
I thought I knew a line
that was before
I heard John Prine

this world can be a liar
but he could never be
I ain't hurting nobody
my mind's in Lake Marie

time would be a healer
just two days behind
"All The Best" he sung out
to movies in his mind

Hello In there, Dear Abby
Paradise calls you home
to an Angel from Montgomery
tired of being alone

Thats The Way the world goes round a thing that shone
quit your Spanish Pipe dreams
Vietnam is on the phone

I thought I could write
I thought I knew a line
that was before
I heard John Prine

he drove a pickup to the station
and no one even cried
the day mom got out of prison
the dog got drunk and died

the missing years of Jesus
a Broken Bottle, engagement ring
God wrote down the lyrics
John would merely sing

I thought I could write
I thought I knew a line
that was before
I heard John Prine

A Smile

It can come very easy to smile when all is well
But harder to do and more thoughtful, when one has a sad tale they could tell.

To share yours with another, no matter, what is what.
Can brighten up their day and to them mean such a lot
To the stranger that passes who may be bereft, live alone.
To the one who may be feeling lonely, forgotten or burdened but doesn’t want to speak, to share or to moan.

A little smile that says hello
Can warm anothers heart, speak volumes in the silence
Say I care, and mean more to them than you may ever know.

What better time can there be but now to show we care..and a little smile can be how

LOVE THE LIFE!

Love the life!
The little ... the much.
I love what I am ...
what I believe in.
What I want to be ...
I love the setbacks ...
that make me learn ...
get better and better ...
More me. Happier...
more man!
Stronger...
I'm authentic!
Not everything ... nothing
in words ... in gestures ... in touch.
And even more ... when I hear the silence ...
silence that in me.
It makes me more and more each day .....
Unique and true.

This Thing We Call Life

This thing we call life
A race to the finish
I don’t want to be first
I don’t want to diminish
This thing we call life
Staring you in the face
An image of yourself
Captured in place
This thing we call life
Every breath of fresh air
Every moment we pause
Reflect on what's there
This thing we call life
Every moment we share
A moment for a smile
Show how much we care
This thing we call life
What really comes next
A warm summer breeze
Or storm that’s complex
This thing we call life
Is up for discussion
I hold the door open
For the world to rush in

About this poem:
Sometimes poetry can become such an invitation for reflection such as this abstract form of poetry answering a question or perhaps asking a few more?
