Christmas

She loves christmas, why?, her beauty is enveloped in the childness and wonderfulness
of it all, the sound of christmas songs, the lights that light the sky, the smell of christmas cooking, and the happiness in their eye, the feeling deep inside, of wondermant she cant hide and all it come to be, is the child she wants to be! xx

Bittersweet

When I leave this Earth that I have walked upon...
Will I be glad or sad I'm gone?...
If there's a chance to return again...
Dare I come back?.....God knows I've sinned...

The bitter salts of this cursed Earth...
Taste sweet to children tricked since birth...
Sour things seemed sweet to me...
Such things I never knew would hurt...

Ice isn't warm, cold cannot heat...
You won't get tricked, get tricked like me...
I'll look for you in Earth's worst times...
Tell you the truth.....salt isn't sweet.....

Rivers of Life.

Today I saw a photo, and was transported back
To a time so long ago, well past and a different track
I was a child, and the future was still waiting to unfurl
I was shy, and no doubt a confused little girl

Surrounded by cousins, who all seemed to know
Where their lives were heading, all eager to go
Yet as I stood, on wide open river plains
Life was simple, family, seasons and rain

I admit hot weather, never appealed to me
As I had no idea, where life would finally be
No longer living beside that famous river, I am
Day dreaming as then, because I still can

We never know what life, for us has in store
Though we dream, digging deep into our core
Travelling through life's ups and downs
Sometimes smiling, and with the odd frown

Our past is important, it makes us who we are
And usually when borders aren't closed, we travel far
We aim to be happy, and enjoy our journey true
Pausing at times to reflect, getting on with it on cue

To A Child Dancing In The Wind

Dance there upon the shore;
What need have you to care
For wind or water's roar?
And tumble out your hair
That the salt drops have wet;
Being young you have not known
The fool's triumph, not yet
Love lost as soon as won,
Nor the best labourer dead
And all the sheaves to bind.
What need have you to dread
The monstrous crying of wind?

About this poem:
I was thumbing through an anthology of W B Yeats' poems and I warmed to this one which I thought I would share. I follow the innocence of youth theme but cant interpret the piece about the labourer, perhaps you can unlock it for me. Anyway timely poem..

Embryo

Into this void
Off liquid one so small
From tiny dot
One thus grow
Two limbs Four limbs now grow
One choirs emotion
Motions the head one floats one drwells in the void of liquid life ones tail does follow as one swims about sound from outside are you ok babe sounds of mamma's voice
Soothing the pain of life
Ones tail shortens organs form
Are you male are you female ones choices of life begins
IES that see blind to life
ears formed voices heard for life
Time to turn one is born to the world of trouble and striff one learns your place the world become one of many

Every choice you make your destiny frfr

I woke up for school 11/9/1995 and thought I don’t wanna go. I don’t feel good mom,my stomach hurts. You can make it its only a half day she blurts. So it’s off to school, riding the bus putting gum in the drivers hair, got caught told her I don’t care. Finally pull up to school get off the bus acting a fool told carol she missed some gum yaaaaa haaaaa haaa who. Get into class and I be darn it did go fast.. back on da bus carol missing some of her hair and guess what I still didn’t care. I was a mean little kid regret the things I did. Got off the top of the hill walked home looking forward to get some pop and chill. Smoking my cig I see my grandma in the station wagon, little did I know she was there to save me and bro from the fate we now know. Dip thru the woods the back way to my house. Finally here. Expecting to see my mom at the table as usual but she’s not there. All doors locked and country music sounds . I jingled the lock,I’m in now. Turn that country music off.Turn on the toons.Get me a piece of cake and my dew.Figured mom and dad must be taking a nap in their room??! No more than 5-10 min go by and knock knock knock at the door it’s my little bro. I let him in. Off to pee he goes, then asks why mom and dad sleep on the floor? I get up to round the corner Mom face up my dad down. Blood all around. I will never forget that smell, Oil and metal. My mind races what to do I know they are gone 911 for people that are hurt dude, so I call my grandma.. tell her mom and dad dead on the floor. I sit my brother down, tell him I’m here forevermore . I knew they was gone but didn’t comprehend, it too was our end. All we knew gone in a blink. Dad did not think, shot my mom but thought to spare us the sight.Sent grandma to get bro and me, little did he know he gave her the wrong time and location though. I was a badass had to smoke. Saw grandma and dipped away before she knew, I was smoking to be cool. We wouldn’t have saw what we did.I feel to blame. I now know it was my dad who has caused the pain. Took my mom from us. Hurts to think I was just a car ride away from a different reality. Now it seems I have only the bad memory. My flashbacks come with smell.Having ptsd is a living hell.

Nell

Your hugs are warmth,Your smile is hope,
For a young girl when she can't cope.
"Life is not always kind,it's not always fair!"
words of wisdom you impart, as you stroke your little girl's hair.
You are always her biggest fan,you are her greatest hero;
though I do not think you know.
You hold her through her tears, and you soothe away all her fears.
You fortify her, make her strong in mind, body and soul.
She is now a woman, molded in your very strong image,
Everything you taught her to be,full of love and great knowledge.
She should be happy, everyone says she is a great human being.
I guess you did succeed!
But she is empty and hollow.
Cause she knows where you have gone she cannot follow.

Beginning

Waking in a world that is so diminutive
I can see the back of my skull and in this I know how vast it is
So I fly for a while
Like an angel with a broken wing
Not knowing if I am going to hit the earth or not
But where have I gone
Nowhere!
I can’t seem to get the altitude I need to leave my world
Like a wall that is endless with no soil for its beginning and no sky to give it a place to end
Then it happens the obstacle is dissolving away evaporating and becoming the world I see
So I continue
My wing becomes better but the pain is still their.
I drift
Or at least it seems to me I have no direction
Then I see in the distance the lighting that walks
But what direction is this
If I can see the back of my head
The back of my mind
Then doesn’t that mean that there is only won direction.
I realize that this is true of all things in all worlds
I let it come to me and me to it
We become the center and in the center is the fixed and in the fixed there is nothing
In The nothing
There is the beginning.

About this poem:
I do karaoke every Thursday night unless there is a Packers game, Thanksgiving, or bad weather. The DJ said he was having a 90's costume party with 100 dollars for best dressed of a famous person from that decade. I picked out my favorite song from each year. Needless to say it has been thin pickings since the 2000's have come about.

Wishing and Hoping

When we are born,
we don't have a choice.
Our parents will love us,
we listen to the voice.
As we grow older,
we then start to wish,
toys,nice food,nice home and love.

We go to school,
at first,it's not nice.
If the building is old,
we might even see mice.
Towards the end of our schooling,
we start to realize.
That wishing and hoping,
not happening,before our eyes!
