emotions rage

There was a time when I was young, blind to the depths of sarrows of time. Now years upon me I sit, lonly, confused, waiting for deaths chime. The child within crys, the adult hides. My eyes drips tears and sarrow my heart colides. Years of broken promises leaving gloom filld dreams,as my soul scream. Beaten, batterd, broken and shatterd leaving my sprit tatterd. Right verses wrong, raging storm closing in, hallucinations of ugly indications, leaving bitterness unfalterd as normality becomes insainity.

Farewell

Just a cheerful word of hello,
and a sad one of goodbye,
someone is out to torment me so,
it is hard to communicate so will not try,

No matter what I say or do,
the shadow of past lurks here,
your always hiding in view,
this puts others in fear,

So for those I already know,
maybe back one day I have a choice,
a little time out to show,
but my words will always be my voice.

About this poem:
Just a thank you to all those have come to know and appreciate your mails and comments. But alas I cannot get to know anyone here because of my past and also the presence of my ex who lurks in the background following and monitoring my posts this causes a fear to anyone who I may be interested in, it is not just my ex but her brother and nephew and list themselves as TheGreatChase, Yahooliisa, Tiamaria24 (New Collin445)all no photographs they think its a good game to play trying to scare and threaten.. to me its just sad and psychotic.

Mood of Life

The mood of life,
always dark and dull,
so much trouble and strife,
waiting for that deaths cull,

So much heartache and despair,
living in clouds of hope,
too much damage beyond repair,
reminiscent of a TV soap,

despondent and lost with pain,
waiting for that turning point,
traversing life without aim,
even smoking that used joint,

all the shadows of the night,
tend to cloud your mind,
not much resistance have no fight,
lifes fixtures in a bind,

people say life is grand,
in my shoes they not walk,
oh lord where is this promised land,
I am so tired of all this talk.

About this poem:
Dark thoughts for a dark night, well early morning my time. Some of us cannot sleep for whatever reasons and find things difficult at times. Robert my good friend would understand another T Shirt winner too.

You were Blessed

A summers eve we met two strangers,
What our hearts would feel, showed no signs of danger.
I had to make yours melt with mine,
A romantic eve and a glass of wine...

My heart was yours from that very first time,
No riches,or fame just this heart of mine.
I gave without holding back for me..
It was you I held even far at sea.

The same man I am,the same I will remain.
Your heart ripped from my chest, you no longer feel the same.
I will walk these grounds, with cavity in my chest.
You shared your heart with all the rest.

You squeeze to hard,my heart in your hands,
You told me to leave, bare feet in summer sands.
You placed your ear on your fathers chest,
Not the same as mine, you were truly blessed.

Love always - Mark Anthony Mango

Johannesburg News

An eight month baby girl raped, her tiny body torn;
A farmer hacked to pieces, his life’s blood seeping into the ground;
Family of five held hostage in their home, burnt with clothes iron, violated, their lives destroyed;
Violent protests in the suburbs, teargas, bullets, petrol bombs in the air.
Not headlines in the newspapers, but items on page four.

Corruption in the government - rewarded with earnings more;
Policemen torturing and raping - the norm;
A child mutilated while alive - muti for the lovelorn;
Mother and child shot dead - their car a hijacker’s score.
No, not headlines, not even on page four.

Beautiful land of majestic mountains, and cape of storms;
Beautiful country of veld and deserts, gold and diamonds bright;
Beautiful nation of rainbow colours, strong hearted and brave;
Beautiful country with soil soaked with our people’s blood.

Headlines of celebrity hook-ups, football heroes, and Obama’s new shoes,
Not on page four for, this, this is news.

Breaking Hearts

Love is blind for all to see,
without a heart beats care,
to say I was not to be,
sent my world into despair,

No longer able to speak or view,
being left in this world of dark,
to tell me I was not for you,
whatever happened to our first loves spark,

You left me so low in esteem,
now my thoughts bleak and dim,
even feel shamed in dream,
walls of my heart feel so thin,

How does one conquer this fear,
being rejected and left for broke,
no longer having you near,
the shock of loss was like a stroke,

Mind and emotions set ablaze,
sleeping is erratic all bad,
moving around in this haze,
all my dreams now so sad,

Saying you loved me, words so true,
sadness and despair reek in me,
what if I was the one to do this to you,
you would then feel my pain and see.

About this poem:
When relationships end one of us is left with a feeling of great loss and feel that their lives have come undone. The person breaking your heart cannot see or feel your pain as they decided to move on without a care, but the saying what goes around comes around springs to mind so it sheds a little light.
This poem is just a thought of the feelings one held during that phase.

I feel...

At the bottom of the lowest stoop,
I feel like the turds in an unkempt coop,
I feel I'm the dirt under soggy dog poop,
I feel lower than the foulest stool,
I feel like I'm the biggest fool,
For real I feel I've had enough,
Feeling like I feel too much...

Reflection

I look at my reflection, who is that staring back at me,
That’s not the man I know, the man I'm suppose to be,
Lost is the light that shone from deep within my eyes,
My soul still wanders as it searches across the open skies,

I’m fighting so hard just to keep alive,
Using all my strength just to survive,
My heart is empty deep inside of me
I’m an empty shell of who I use to be,

Even if I try to understand the reasons why,
Even though, Even though
Even if I try to understand the reasons why,
Even though Even though,
There’s a stranger looking back at me.

Look in the mirror and tell me what you see,
That’s not the man I am or who I want to be,
Look in the mirror, there’s no one I can blame,
I’m the only one that can bear all the shame

Screaming in the darkness, screaming at the night,
Where are the answers, of a life that’s lost its light,
Trying to find a direction, try to find a place to start,
Just looking for some feelings to fill this empty heart,

Even if I try to understand the reasons why,
Even though, Even though,
Even if I try to understand the reasons why,
Even though, Even though,
There’s a stranger looking back at me.

Look at the mirror, that’s not the man I’m supposed to be,
There’s always a stranger, always staring back at me.

Trapped in a Cage

Trapped in a Cage

At a very young age

Looking at the night sky

As the lonely years drift slowly by

He sees no future in the stars

For him, theres nothing

Beyond those prison bars

Someone help me

Cries a voice from deep inside his head

Someone end this misery ,I cannot hide

Someone end this misery inside

Oh Lord,end this misery

End this misery inside

Hes nothing but an empty shell

Drowning in a wishing well

His life is a torn out page

Ripped apart in silent rage

What does he do ?

When sleeps his only friend

And even then, the pain inside, it never ends

Someone help me

Cries a voice from deep inside his head

Someone end this misery,i cannot hide

Someone end this misery inside

Oh Lord, end this misery

End this misery inside

I am innocent

I am innocent

I AM INNOCENT

But, theres nobody listening

The walls have closed their ears

They have heard it all a thousand times before

They have heard it all a thousand times..

Before.

Becareful

Poem

Be careful of what you do today
Coz it turns to be a choice tomorrow
Be careful of bluberring eyes and sweet smiles of the taste you get now
Coz it might turn as bitterness tomorrow
Be careful of swinging feelings of excitement today coz it might turn as bad experience tomorrow
Becareful of choices you do today
Coz they might be your enemies tomorrow
Becareful of tomorrow for today you forget tomorrow!
Becareful of your future now!!!
Be care full of tomorrow!!!
