simplicity begins in the first degree
with love spread over the path
from the wind high above
wrapping your heart
in the presence of a crescent moon
broken down on your knees
in the grass of a seductive please
holding your head in disbelief
wondering if love will ever
blow your leaves.

About this poem:
with couples everywhere you look holding hands and here you are alone wondering if love will ever find you.

There was old prospector he rode everywhere
Searching for gold he could never find
Until one day when he met her
And the gold in her heart made him go blind
But he was too late
And so much for fate
He rode away so sad
Thinking of all the gold he could never have
Disappearing into the sunset
And under the stars he sat by a campfire alone
The old prospector on his knees he wept
Praying to God and knowing all the gold was gone

You say you'll never find fortune never have fame
And you're getting too old for world acclaim
If money fell from the sky but you know that's a lie
What all tomorrows bring not everyone can be king
As you are dreaming of the ocean waves
There are peasants and there are slaves
The rich know the living
The poor only know to wait for their graves
Farewell fair maiden you're out of view by now
Some bells are silent why don't they ring
There must be a reason
Not everyone can be king
In a different direction his journey is far
Along the way he find rest by a stream
As the ripples whisper they lull him to dream
And he awakes to the reflection not everyone can be king

Caught in a quiet avalanche, you see me as I want you to.
Though you think me near, I am secretly further away.
I nod and smile in the right places like they're not rehearsed lines.
We're both alone when we're together, and I am that with everyone.

About this poem:
It is about someone in crisis within themselves, and pretending to everyone that they are okay.

Solve me do you dare,
an abyss of turmoil, do I scare?
Come feel, if you see
with eyes and heart, if thine be.
Survive I do,
with hope of life looking, looking but for who.
Need dissolves,
years and tears flows.
Surrounded, alone, wandering soul,
find me, stay my fall.

About this poem:
I wrote this about 5 years ago when I was feeling extremely lonely. I was being torn inside whilst writing it, cried and felt the anguish of loneliness as it revealed itself.
It took many months to finalise it and I felt better when it was all over, as if some of this pain was alleviated.

It was Dallas, Texas,
San Antone, or Idaho,
Maybe in New Mexico,
I don't know...,
Some time ago...,
I met a leather man out on the road,
Crease and fold,
Bent and old,
Had the saddest story ever told,
Chill your soul,
Cut the bone,
He said "I been on a roll,
On the road,
I been on a roll for so long,
It's so wrong...,
He said "What's left of me is cold,
Bought and sold,
Had no one to hold for so long,
It's so wrong...",
He said "No place feels like home,
No, No place feels like home...,
No place has felt like home for so long",
Saddest story ever told...,
"This path is one I chose",
On he goes,
"Up and down the oceans coast,
On a boat,
With nothing of my own,
All alone,
In Alaska where its cold,
With freezing snows,
Spent some time in Mexico,
Way down below,
But no matter where I go,
I know that everywhere I roam,
No place feels like home...,
Something's always off,
Drifter move along,
Black sheep of the fold..."
The man had the saddest story ever told.

No one to talk too but a lot on my mind
And if you are reading this
You may find it a waste of time
For I'm known as no one and there's a reason why
But no one ever wants to tell me
No they just pass me by
Average must be a secret word that no one wants to say
I have the same dreams as you
But I always have an average day
Fools were made for yesterday tomorrow was made for the wise
I'm too average to be in the way
No one to talk too and that came as no surprise

In years gone by people knew why
Men were men
And women were women
The compass point use to say Jesus saves
Now it's been thrown away
And no one wants to find it in the last of days
Now it's a text message race
A rocket ship to mars
And musicians are playing on thousand dollar guitars
Everyone wants to travel
And tomorrow is just come what may
They think the judge has lost his gavel in the last of days
Faster and faster that's the brand new way
If no one can slow down then no one can turn around
Spend and don't save day after day
Technology has become our new guide
The computer has no delays
Welcome aboard this last ride in the last of days

I'm in a crowd of hundreds
yet I feel so alone
I watch as others walk hand in hand
Inwardly, I let out a moan
In the quiet and still of the night
as I lie in my big empty bed
thoughts of loneliness
race rampant in my head
Hugging my pillow
tears silently fall
the heartache inside me
makes me feel so small
That in this great big world
there's no one for me
to love and to cherish
to help set me free

Who's to know I am here
Who's to know I am me
Who's to hear what I have to say
And who knew I was here yesterday
There's no one to look into my eyes
No female to say who I am
Am I just an ordinary guy
I've waited longer than mortals could stand
Who's to know I am wrong
Who's to say they disagree
Who's is near who is far away as time goes on
And who knew no one but me
