Once A Week

I can't travel to a far away land
But I can do online shopping once a week
I'll never get a chance to sing with a country band
Nashville will never call me to come and live on easy street

I can't go out on a date with a rich woman if you know what I mean
So I stay home instead
They say you're never to old to dream
But I dream alone in my bed

Early morning bring the sunlight through my window on my favorite spot
I'll be in my chair waiting to take a drink of coffee for it will still be too hot
And then the only thing I will think of that would be kind of neat
I can do online shopping once a week

Memories

Makes my head hurt
Body jerks
stomach hurts
Feeling like I’ve eaten dirt
Trying not to think of you
left feeling blue
Memories not so good
Smells of nothing sweet
Afraid to close my eyes
Always trying to hide
Hurt to bodies core
Can’t smile anymore
Trying to pick myself up from the floor
Keep hitting my head on the door
Wishing I wasn’t even here
These memories not so dear .

In Prospect of Venus

He rose early
before the sun
to hoe and toil
under true stars
a simple man
beneath the vines
of his grey yard
he chewed straw
and turned his
thoughts to
women
children
delights
he had
not known
in all these days
that had passed
with fruits
and flowers
known only
to his birds
his companions
was he yet
not worthy
of Venus
he mused
for I shall sing
the song
of the grave
before Venus rises
unto me
he sang
yes I shall sing
the song
of the grave
before Venus rises
unto me

COOKIED

A hacker has come to cohabit my flat
controlling whatever I do
Regrettably too and on top of all that
wherever I go it comes too

Since it arrived and infected my thinking
my life has been truly debased
to where I’ve practically doubled my drinking
and know that to fight is a waste

My cutlery crockery bric-a-brac tools
are constantly in disarray
I seem to be one of the world’s greatest fools
for my gear-shift shifts the wrong way

When I shop and pick out the item my shock
which can only confound belief
is to find once again that they’re out of stock
Does The Hacker want to play Thief?

Why are these creatures so brutally greedy
to seek out their pitiful prey?
Or is it the drowning cry of the needy
and hopelessness losing its way?

The Clouds

All alone and on your own,
Quest for love with a heart of stone,
Of all you've learned,
Still, what do you know?
The days glittering shades of light,
(quietly) oh, so warm--

And now we're here,
Dig, the clouds cloud our minds,
Too young for the love,
Too old for the lies--

You've climbed mountains and swam seas,
You've found peace through warfare,
Survived death, now live in prosperity,
What more could this life ask of me?
Ride hard and die free,
Ha, love is all you need--

And now we're here,
Dig, the clouds wondering by,
Too young to smile,
Too old to cry--

Perhaps now, everything is taking form,
Always the calmest before the storm,
You know too much,
Still, what do you know?
The days glittering shades of dark,
(quietly) oh, so cold--

And now we're here,
Dig, the clouds shatter and break,
Too young to give,
Too old to take--

About this poem:
I wrote this one 12-28-2021. I wrote and rewrote this in a few different ways just because I liked the stanza part (And now we're here, Dig...) Allow yourself to perceive what the song means on your own accord of thought.

The asent of man. A riddle What points in history am I refering to. overall also

A new beging to inlighten , It last only 120 years A tragety of the mind it soon becomes
To be constraind with blindness of thought
No way out
Now we see the planets
We see only a little but it is a begining
We are 1500 years behind
We are seeing faster and faster now
Our growth is beyond our ability to catch up Should be 1500 years ahead in thought and science
They search but the answers can not come to many, for there minds are intraped, Many types of the same restraint. Now
our attention is governed by our emotions
Quick thought decised as deep thought is what we crave
Books sit on Library shelves, the development of mind awaints
Our thought molds as we are adicted to short fullfilling thought
My sadness is emence, the mind of man astray

Fairy Tales

We live in a land of fairy tales
Old and new

And from the mouths of Kings and rulers
Every deceit spews

In religion there is a happy end
And in New Age we just ascend

On the World Wide Web
We can focus on the next celeb
That’s playing the evil Lucifer

Or, should we just elect Jeb
And become
A dynasty connoisseur

Of stories, paths and roads traveled
Hopelessly unraveled

While we keep the status quo
The truth may well be

That some fairy tales just blow
We should agree

Really light up and rearrange
Rework change

The paradigm has no end in sight
Riddled with continuous ‘fright or flight’
Time for a rewrite

What to do on planet earth
Ah…visualize rebirth

Simply unplug from the matrix
All the ideologies and tricks

Make your own world
Neatly knitted and purled

With threads of silver and gold
Be bold

Don’t look back
No backtrack

In your own fairytale you are the Knight
Keep moving toward the quintessential light

Because if you don’t have a dog in the fight
Unplugging is right

Nothing in this world to fear
Just tell ‘em “I’m not from around here”

Live a life of happily ever after
Filled with gobs of laughter

Cut the strings of the puppeteer
Then simply . . . disappear

Into the fairytale reality you create
Because, it’s going to be absolutely great!

Break Free

Oppressive western civilization
Must assuredly wither and die
Creating a world of beauty and love
That sees with third eye

These worldly possessions become
Our burdensome prison
Shorn, the body and soul are in
Natural harmonic unison

Sailing through infinite space
On pure love as our provision
Brilliant grids of energy can be
Seen in psychic vision

Dimensions of existence and
Mental clarity free from chains
Spiritual journeys to Summerland
Traveled upon the astral planes

Wishing to break away from
Earthly realities and strife
Souls peer into mirrors viewing
Reflections of abstract life

Achieving esoteric knowledge
To hold, embrace and discern
Lessons of this life are given
In universal love to learn

Seeking to rise above mental shields
Ideological beliefs revolving
Around concepts of netherworlds
A continual eternal trek

Life passes in somber processions
Rising in scarlet crescendos
Playing through our minds as we throw
Emptiness into burning infernos

Breaking free is an act of turning away
And embracing the excitement
Discernment sees the universal elements
Of what is real in our enlightenment

Rising above the great rain shadow desert
Meeting in mid air the angelic hosts
Empowered with pure harmony
Like the oceans hug the coasts

Alive or just breathing?

I love my life
Because it is mine,
It was so kind
To me-
It smeared me
Like a snot on the wall.
It used
Its favorite trick:
When childhood ended -
It cut off my oxygen.
And now I lie like a fish
In the coastal mud

But here's what I think :
I see this world as it is!
I only ask - "slow down"
I only ask - "not now".
My life has taught me a secret :
"When someone feels pain,
The other one feels gain"
In the meantime I lie like a fish
In the coastal mud

A World That's Gone Away

I'm alone
All alone
In a world that's gone away

The scenes have changed
The names have changed
What was two is a four lane

No more hello's no more goodbye's
And there's nothing left for me to say
Strangers criss cross before my eyes
In a world that's gone away

I sadly walk to find the quiet
When once the quiet use to find me
Now I watch the hours pass the day
All alone in a world that's gone away
