'Sweet' hates me! :"(

Sugar hates me!
Lollipop dislikes me!
Toffee ignores me!
Caramel detests me!

Candy calls me ugly!
Cane calls me crazy!

Fudge's angry with me!
Praline's upset with me!
Peanut butter gets mad at me!
Even Jelly beans already banned me!!!

Why do they strike me?

That’s easy!
They envy 'cause I’m just SWEETER.))) grin

snooty

Actually they should hate 'YOU' more.

'YOU' make me SWEE---T! and sweeter day by day! blushing

new and improved

Ok so which is it?
I mean it can't be
both "new" and "improved"
at the same time
now, can it?
It's like the
egg and the chicken
one has to start
the process doesn't it?
So I'm thinking
the chicken knew
the egg was improved
but still...was unmoved.

A new face

A new face in a new place
I look with timid eyes
Everyone watcing curiosly
Here there are no lies

Friends come quick
Rush to say hello
Smiling and lauhging
Only better this can go

A different life
I can excell
A new place
I know so well

I make a clan
With one near
In this place
Nothing I fear

fruit and wheat

this morning as i slowly rouse
i blink my vision to dappled wall
awareness of a hunger to douse
i slowly rise my frame to call

attention to today's mundane task
while equally sunning the wonder
the Sol outside myself to bask
probable late day storms 'n' thunder

the monkey chatters for coffee cup
the cup fragrant and life so sweet
standing still an appetite kicks up
for lasting meal of fruit and wheat

a bunch of grapes be red or white
a slice or two of hearty bread
would make for a repast to delight
and ease stomach into day ahead

if this is the first bite of the day
or of my life, the last meal
i can't imagine a more satisfying way
to embark in today's events to reveal

Taco Bell Rap

i need two supreme tacos and hold the sour cream
it makes me vomit and it's an ugly scene
a chicken quesadilla and taco salad, too
this is how we do up in the drive thru
i need a spicy chicken double decker chilli cheese wrap
large coke, bottle of water, don't forget the cap
i need two soft tacos and an enchurrito
don't be thinking that its all for me though
"yo queiro taco bell" my boy said to me
so i'll get him a chalupa and one for free.
i hope you're getting all this down, you're sitting there without a sound
hot sauce, i need that too, make it three, no make it two
large coke, i need that too,
one for me and for you
just kidding, being nice
(AND DON'T FORGET THE YELLOW RICE!)
yellow rice, he wants that too, is that something you guys do?
if not nachos please, hold the lettuce, add the cheese
one more holla for a dollar
this my crew in this drive thru
one more thing, give it to me cause baby
WE HUNGRY

Yogurt - Lite

Smooth, creamy
delicious, dreamy
lip-licking luscious
fruit on the bottom
live cultures, best
aids body’s zest
balance to maintain
try Peaches & Cream

succulent

"canine"..."canine"...
"bicuspid"...say "bi-cus-pid"
.
"molars"...aloud, say "mo-lars"
.
...go ahead...sink your teeth
into the enameled words

use your tongue to roll
them from cheek to cheek
feel them budding in your
mouth, the very words of
your mouth sound rising
from your jaw up to the
timpani of your ear and
into the heart, well ok,
the mind of you, your now

now say "succulent"
..."suc-cu-lent"
how nice the juices flow
the lush U...tangy T
..."suc-cu-lent"

once heard, a juicy word
forever remains
inbrained in us
even if we haven't thought
that word for years...years
it'll come flowing back

"amatory".."am-a-tory"
"sparkle"..."pleasure"
"distinction".."moonlight"
..."hesitation"..."plenty"
"serendipity"..."beloved"

all the melody and memory
that each brings to now as
it flows, vibrates according
its own sound vision..."cool"

Systemic

A talk on “Sonnets”, once did attend
fascinated by the sound was I
of words that move to tears or grin
skill lacking, my pen has yet to try

Not academic-taught are my poems
no poetic training have I had
but my pen writes its messages
whether mediocre, good or bad

My writing is free-verse systemic
from feelings, deep, deep within
that rise up into words polemic
words, worlds ready to begin again

Once lost somewhere in my heart
this rhyming verse I now impart.

Cookies and Wine

There's nothing that's quite like cookies and wine
When your starving it's tasty and simply devine
you can keep your cornbread and Mulligan stew
your donuts and burgers and fried ocra too

Don't give me oysters I can't even look at em
for franks and baked beans I had never a yen
But cookies and wine now there's a real treat
to partake such a meal will put you to sleep

SIETE MODOS (Ladino/djudeo-sefardi)

Siete modos de gizados
se gizá la merenjena
la primera de la gizá
es la vava de Elena
ya la aze vokadikos
i la mete´n una zena
ista komida la yaman
comida de merenjena

A mi tio Zerasi
ke le agrada vever vino,
kon el vino vino vino
muxo i vien a el vino

La segunda ke la gisa
es la mujer del Shamas
la kavaka por adientro
i la inxi d´aromat
ista komida la yaman
la komida la dolmá

La trazerá que la gisa
es mi prima Ester de Chiote
la kavaka por adientro
i la inxi dárroz moti
ista komida la yaman
la komida lalondrote.

La alburnia es zaborida
en kolor y en golor
ven aremos una zena
mos gozaremos los dos
antes ke venga el gosano
i le kite la sabor

En las mezas de las fiestas
siempre briya el jandrajo
ya l´azemos pastelikos,
eyos briyan en los platos
asperando a ser zervidos
con los güevos jaminados.

La salata maljasina
es pastoza i zaborida,
mi vezina la prepara
con muxo azeite de oliva,
istos platos akompanyan
a los rostros de gayinas.

La setena que la gize
es mejor y mas janina
la prepara Filisti,
la hijà de la vezina
ya la mete nel forno
de kaveza à la kozina
kon azeite y kon pimienta
ya la yama una meyína.
