Live Your Life

Now is the time,to live your life right.
Live it for God,Forgive day and night.
You have hurt others and they have hurt you.
Just pray to the Lord and he'll carry you through.
It's time to let go of things from the past.
Choose to beilieve and let your life last.
Let God take over, let him be near.
Don't live for satan,Don't live in fear.
If you fall flat on your face.
The Lord will be your saving grace.
Please just know that he did say.
He will always make a way.

Mistake Break

Gotta few screws loose, now you've frightened them tight
I got rushed, Stopped, Cuffed and sent to jail
Family to the rescue to post my bail
As this story continues only time will tell
We see history repeat, but its time to excel
Got the worse charges dropped but bills to be paid
All my options open and ready to be weighed
Two years of probation left to reflect
Livin in this country as a reject
Now to show all of you who I really am
No negativity round me cause don't give a damn
Time to take a break from the mistakes I've made
With a whole new perspective and the same game played

No More My footsteps in the snow.

No more my footsteps in the snow, No more the guidance I can show
For the time has come for me to pass, to a place where footsteps have no past.

As the winter fades and the summer comes, and my footsteps melt away
The marks I made that winters day, will forever stay.

The pain you have inside your heart, filled so complete with grief
Just shows to me inside my heart the truth of that belief.

Where I have gone is where I belong
With my husband of so long
So do not weep and do not cry
For as I know; you will get by.

About this poem:
My mother died New Year’s Day and she was quite a renowned poet in her younger years. We all forgot about this until we saw these poems. However I cannot understand them as it takes a special person to write and understand them.
I need to write one for her funeral.
I have put something together and was just wondering about your thought s on it. It is not complete but advice would be gratefully received.

Guilt and Perfection

We all do it,
we all screw up,
why, when I do it
the world seems to come to an end???

The world as we know it
will come to a halt,
it will stand still,
it will explode!!!!

Then it won't matter,
screw up or not,
we all will be dust,
yes, even you!

Or maybe I am wrong?
Only the perfect will survive?
Then you will be alone.....
alone in this world.

"Trust & The Heart

"If trust is given, why should I have expectations of how it is kept?"

In my eyes trust should be like faith in god, we believe in god's existence & power without evidence of validity to prove that he is real. When I give trust I don't secretly hope that some one will or won't betray me. Betrayal is an insecurity in the person who betrays. If betrayal is the path that they choose, I will respect their choice even if I'm the victim of their actions.

I believe people use ignorance to escape responsibility, that is why they make the wrong choices. I believe there are two types of mistakes, the right mistake and the wrong one, it is only in time you will know which one it turns out to be. I give trust to anyone, If a person betrays me, it is not me they truly hurt, because they lose the trustworthiness in themselves and that defines their character for the entire world to see.

"Why does god give us a heart?" Is its purpose of existence only for Biological reasons? For the sustainance of life from within the womb to a death bed? Why is it, that our hearts never belong to us? Why is it always held by some else? In the end how could your soul smile when your heart cries?

"In the aspect of Trust: My heart is open for you to write your chapter in my life"

When a good word is said

When a good word is spoken
The ear will listen
The eye will look
The mind will like
The soul will embrace
The heart will sing
The body will dance.

When a bad word is spoken
The ear will listen
The eye will look
The mind will hate
The soul will reject
The heart will stop
The body will fall.

APOLOGY

Even if I said
A million more sorry
What use would that be?
Could that undo the misdeed?
Could that offer me an alibi?
Even if a million offences came
Shouldn’t a million pardons follow?
It takes more than a saint
to live a flawless life.
I am really very sorry
For all that happened.
Although sorry won’t do
But what else could one say
Except words of apology
In this circumstance.

DISTANT

Distant, the echo’s of my heart
Far flung, upon the seas of life
Oblivioned to strangers hand
Trialed,in turmoiled living strife

Diluted, the fullness of my blood
Strewn seed of careless youth
In isolation distance spans
You my son, in living truth

Consummation of misguided love
In abandonment life begun
Thru primal urge ignorance blossomed
In denial unity unsung

Deprivation of sight and sound
Newborn innocence unbeheld
Blame could not apportion round
Man in doubt, his might is felled

Timeless thoughts of who and where
Aliened fruit of my urge, unloved
Physical sense of longings quenched
Prodigal times of my life unproved

Relieved, at last you have a name
My circle’s round, My life complete
But judge me not by others sound
See My Face before ere we meet

About this poem:
I have struggled to express my thoughts and feelings of a part of my life unfulfilled..Of the dangerous days of youth and ignorance...Of how the careless exuberance of youth can bring about the unfathomable consequences and agonies in innocent life...
Though this work tells me its finished, I still feel there is a whole world of unexpressed feeling I need to include. So it may be amended at some point....

I dedicate this to Tim....

Time heals all

Time heals
All
In time we heal
We forget what is real
Reinvent what we feel
To allow time to heal
In time
All
Must feel
That time is real

Its a shame

Its a shame that you are over there..
Its just to far away for a love to last that long ..
Yes something closer would be nice for the heart to feel ..
If only it were true ,real ,and now its a shame ..
If only you had lied a bout where you lived and it was closer to me ..
So far away from me to you ..
Its as shame that you sent me a letter of things that are not about you ..
Just be careful how you write ..
Words can be a lot to handle some times if they are not from the heart ..
