MY NEIGHBOURS

MY NEIGHBOURS

How great was the worth of my neighbours
They where trustworthy loyal and kind
And there friendship I surly do cherish
For friendship is not easy to find
When I was down on my luck
And the road became rough
They where always there by my side
With a hug or a smile or just talk for a while
These very dear neighbours of mine
There door would always be open
And there coffee was sure
To be fresh
After a long day of toiling
We’d leisurely sit down and we’d
Rest

A man's man

challenge's himself, graces other's, believes in himself to believe in others, he's forgiving, in his wake stands some earned respect, his path ahead is carved with acceptance of what will be ~

"The word she wrote for me"

I read the words you wrote
Then a tear came to my eye
But I'm not really sure
The exact reason why

Maybe it was because you said
You'd always stand by my side
That no matter what anyone said
Your support for me you wouldn't hide

I found it reassuring
I saw it from the start
The way you would defend me
I know it would come from your heart

How could I be so lucky
To have a friend like you
Someone who'll stand beside me
Regardless of what I ever do

A person like you comes along
Once every hundred years
If I had to cry from someone's words
I'm glad it was you, who caused my tears

Definition

An old life left behind
what new shall this one bring

Friends are defined
as an ever-loving thing

College life i am bound
to be what i can be

My new definition is found
I shall work at it and see

With many years to go
My dreams are to come true

I will not go with the flow
for i am strong; and life is new

U R my Sister U R my Friend

My heart cried when you went away
I’d remember when we’d laugh, when we’d fight
And I’d wonder why you couldn’t stay
Without you my world doesn’t seem right
I smile about you nearly everyday
And the memory of your laughter brightens the darkest hour of my night
You are my friend
My sister
I’ll be there for you until the very end
When the world seems cold and sinister
I’ll be there to protect, to defend
Because you are my sister
You are my friend

"The Eternal Contract"

Through the darkness of the night,
And the shining of the day,
The distant echos never go away.

As time will pass,
And people will change,
Her constant morals stay the same.

As the world looks down,
And life looks grim,
She will always be right here, ready to save him.

He is her life,
He is her soul,
He is the one to share her goal.

Through times of fear,
Times of pain,
In desperation & in vain.

He is the one to give her light,
To help her up,
When she's lost the fight.

And in this i promise can never end,
With the eternal love,
Called a best friend.

TO ALL THE POETS OUT THERE

TO ALL THE POET OUT THERE

Dark clouds form
Severe winds storms trees uprooted
Homes ripped a part by the severe blows
Rains forcing the river‘s to over flow
Destruction for all in its path
Is it Gods way of telling us?
That all we take for granted in life
Can be taken away by his command
And the wave of his hand
Why does so much evil lurk with in our mist?
God gave us the gift of life along with all we need
To nurture our body’s and our souls
Yet so many carry so much greed and hate
With Wars, Hate, Corruption
Drugs dealers taking over and
Destroying so many lives
Are we a lost generation of people
Remember Gods words
Love one another as I have loved you
As poets we have the power
Of the pen we hold in our hands
Make good use of it
Who better to spread the word of love and peace?
Than a poet
God Bless you one and all

A Friend For Life

Are you my friend?
My companion, through good times and bad,
My friend, my buddy, through happiness and sad
Beside me you stand, beside me you walk
You’re there to listen; you're there to talk, you’re there to create happiness
With smiles, without pain, without fear or tears
I know you will be there throughout the years
You are an all good around good friend to me and I am grateful
Remember, no man or woman is a failure who has a friend

Yes, I am your friend
To be your companion is an honor as you take me as your mate
There will be no sad times, only happy ones that will paint memories to be cherished
Together we stand, walking hand in hand as we dance through life and journey through time
I promise to listen with my heart not just my head
To listen and comprehend, to speak with happiness in my voice, to be compassionate in my tone
To embrace each day with a smile as I plant my seeds upon your life while sprouting yours
No pain shall enter this union; only tears of joy shall fall to these cheeks
I will be like the mighty oak, rooted and grounded for life
Forever you took my hand knowing it rest upon mine

"Secretive teen"

all his friends chipped in birthday boy beer in hand confused thoughts, where to begin, i'd heard the brag, tales told, becoming a man before i'm old, only two feet away experienced eyes, plundered thoughts dam those guys, picken the label both sweatin. . . . that she sees! not a finger dared where'd that grin go was ear to ear, relax it'll be ok nothing to fear, nervous eyes look round, quiet room not a sound, if I don't it's my town word gets around, it's our secret please don't share.
