Did Anyone Ever Tell You

Did Anyone Ever Tell You,
Just How Special You Are
The Light that You Emit
Might even Light a Star

Did Anyone Ever Tell You
How Important You Make Others Feel
Somebody out here is Smiling
About Love that is so Real

Did Anyone Ever Tell You
Many Times, When They were Sad
Your massage made Them Smile a bit
In Fact It made Them Glad

For the Time You Spend Sending Things
And Sharing whatever You Find
There are No Words to Thank You
But Somebody, Thinks You're Fine

Did Anyone Ever Tell You
Just How Much They Love You
Well, My Dearest "Online " Friend
Today I am Telling You

Quarter Tree

Hey bud.....

You left a Quarter on my Tree,
I found it the next morning shinning brightly.

When the sun hits it, the reflection is so bright,
Which will remind me of that special night.

It is a reminder of my friend Rodney,
A Friendship that will last an eternity.

It was the day after Thanksgiving in 1999,
The day after the Cowboys spanked the Dolphins behind.

Through the Heat, the Cold and the Pouring Rain,
Your friendship quarter will always remain.

What a cool and special thought,
A friendship like ours, can never be bought.

If everyone had a quarter in their tree,
Just think, how happy this world would be.

It's time to stop the violence and treat people right,
So, leave a quarter on a friends tree tonight.

FALSE PRETENSE

I MET YOU UNDER FALSE PRETENSE.
I LISTEN TO YOU VERY INTENSE.
MADE MY CHOICE FOR YOU IM WILLING TO STICK.
YOUR HONESTY MADE ME WANT TO KISS YOUR LIPS.
YOUR SENSE OF HUMOR MADE YOU & I BECOME A HIT.
OTHERS CANT UNDERSTAND THIS ONE BIT.
HOPING WE WILL SPLIT & PUT AN END TO ALL THIS SH*T.
AS THESE DAYS CREEP TO NIGHT IM FALLING FOR YOU AS THE SUN SHINES BRIGHT.
IM A LIL SHY ON TELLING YOU THIS AND MY ACTIONS ARE WORST WHEN IM ACTING LIKE A B***H.
BUT TO BE HONEST YOU TAKING DOWN MY SHELL.
EVEN WHEN I YELL I LONG TO BE HELD.
SO TAKE THIS AS A STEP TO MY HEART, HOPEFULLY WE WILL NEVER PART.

TOGETHERNESS

You are You
I am I

Two small voices
In the vastness of being

Independent
Vibrant
When the life on
Opposite ends of the earth
Gets too confusing for words
Your warm smile
Becomes a resting place for a while
Separation of thousands of miles
Fades away
Like the midmorning mist
On the breaking of each new day

The knowledge we share
A silent promise we keep
Till eternity has come
Two souls
Hoping and searching

ADORATION

the longer
i know you
the more
i adore you

you give
without
hesitation
you save
relentlessly
to spoil
your loved ones
endlessly

even though
material goods
may disappear
at times

your rock solid
inner strength
ever present
shines

medals and
accolades
for high achievements
could never be
compared
to the love
you have
shared

always full of praise
for beings lesser
than yourself
your pure heart
speaks for itself

your smile
brightens up
the bluest of day
the warmth in your eyes
your laugh
echoing like
a wind chime
tells us we
will be fine

thank you
for the songs
and rhymes
words of wisdom
to carry us through
the storms of life

engraved
with your
name
on the
table of my
heart

were I
have kept you
from the
start

My old friends

I wonder where my old friends are
it's been a lot of years
I wonder where my old friends are
I wish that they where here with me

Lewis you'd to bag groceries
at the grocery store
wonder if he does it still
John use to be so tall
he'd shoot basketball
Kenny use to act so cool

I wonder where my old friends are
it's been a lot of years
I wonder where my old friends are
I wish that they where here with me

Rush use to love cameras
he'd shoot most anything
wonder if he does it still
Al use to be so short
but still he love his sports
Randy use to drive like a fool

I wonder where my old friends are
it's been a lot of years
I wonder where my old friends are
I wish that they where here with me

The years have gone by
like they where fired from a gun
but the memories remain of
when we had so much fun
the years go on and on

I wonder where my old friends are
it's been a lot of years
I wonder where my old friends are
I wish that they where here with me

Your Smile

Last time we met I think I left your smile with me.
I've been trying to hold on to it until I could give it back to you.
But it's harder than you think.
The damn thing jumps on everyone it sees

It giggles with toddlers
It chuckles with grandmas
and gazes with lovers

It seems like everyone loves your smile, but I'm not selfish.
I won't keep it for myself.
I'll give it back to you and put my one on.

Visible Line

For in the lines
of the internet
a friendship has
developed here.
It seems like
all my walls
are down.
For the real
person can come
out protected
by the screen
for not another
in front of me.
No one can see
the real me.
Now i can be
who i am ME.
I always try to
put the right foot
forward, but shyness
loneliness seems to
pull me back.
Make me longing
for a friendship
more yet scared
to open that door.
Tonight i let the
wall down just
the screen be that
invisible shield to
protect me on the
inside until i am
comfortable to let
it come down.
Letting me come
face to face
with you at last.

Just A Voice

A man with a heart
is all i see the
man on the outside
who is he, for it is
a dream for the heart
to be real and
genuine.
no worrying
just a safe
peace of mind.
For his inside
and outside
seem to match.
For soon others
will see that.
For this is not
a dream it is a
piece of reality
letting everyone
know he is whole.
Take a look
without seeing
the face and you
will come to the
same conclusion
he is a man of a
special kind a man
with a beautiful
heart and mind.

Friend In Me

Look at me and what you see,
A friend indeed,that's me!
Feeling down,or feeling blue,
Always remember you can count on me.
A friend for life I want to be,
Only if you'll let me.
