Of my dearest

Dearest was every moment, when I didn´t count time
With youthful body, upward emotions and naive thoughts.
I understand now, as I still resemble myself at that time.
With eldered being, calmed feelings and sorrowfilled thoughts.
Age does not forgive us, if we wasted our youth.
Only makes us remember painful at the moments in past.

Dearest were the persons that shared time with me.
They disappeared like the days of spring in may.
What is the reason for keeping memories about them?
Can´t we lift our burden and lay them to rest in the ground?
Wisdom does not forgive us, if once felt with innocent hearts
Only gives us grief untill we take our last breath.

Dearest is the hope that everything would change
The ambivalence between reality and our longings
I cannot imagine, to feel sorry for my whole life.
Wouldn´t choose different paths and comrades with me.
Want to be brave and honest all time to continue.
The struggle with doubt is not the end.

Dearest is the conscious of your presence
Your uncorrupted thoughts in your lines
A traveller like me, our paths crossed here
Forging a symbol of dedication to life
No longer alone, together we stride to
celestial horizons at daytime turning crimson at dawn.

Dearest will be the future unseen
The challenge of age and wisdom
Love from hearts that are torn, but never broke
The great variety of joy and happiness undiscovered
Many ideas for the unfulfilled dream
To be with my dearest - forever entwined.

NEW FRIENDSHIP BEGININGS

IF I WAS TO BRING YOU A SMILE INSTEAD OF A ROSE OR FLOWER
WILL IT TOUCH YOUR HEART OR TURN THINGS SOUR
ALTHOUGH YOU MAY FEEL A BIT LOVED OR UNLOVED
REMEMBER AS A STRANGER WE ALL ARE I KNOW YOU SENT FROM ABOVE
ALLOW ME TO TO SAY THESE WORDS TO EXPRESS MY HEART AND ALL WITHOUT BEING MISJUDGE
IM A GENTLEMAN WHO WILL NEVER HOLD A GRUDGE
WITH ALL SAID AND DONE I'LL STILL BE AROUND
CANT WAIT SOMEDAY TO HEAR YOUR BEAUTIFUL VOICE SOUNDS
IF YOUR LOOKING AND IS READY TO KNOW ME AND SHARE ANOTHER JOY
IT WILL BE A GREAT GIFT LIKE EVERY ONES FIRST TOY
BE YOU AND I SHALL ALWAYS BE ME
LETS BECOME FRIENDS FIRST TO ALL ETERNALLY

....Friends....

When you're trying to do that which doesn't seem to want to get done... Friends

When you're looking for help in finding that special someone...Friends

When you're struggling with the overwhelming burden of day to day life.... Friends

When you need an encouraging word due to difficulties beyond your ability.... Friends

When you need just a little lift after your spirits have been strained... Friends

When you're lonesome for that special connection that requires no demands... Friends

When times are tough and you've hit solid walls in every direction you've turned... Friends

When you need a shoulder to cry on, a listening ear, a word of advise or praise... Friends

When you're about to explode with excitement over some event that's to good to keep to yourself... Friends

What would life be without..... Friends?

About this poem:
My list of "Friends" seems to be growing since turning to the internet for an otherwise boring social life due to being a workaholic.
This poem is written to acknowledge the importance of those special people in our lives! Thanks to all of you who are, and those of you who will become my..... 'Friends'. John

Blossom

I for one, did not miss
Your shadow as it crossed between
The two horizons that
Would seem to me an
Apparition of the past, yet I knew
You not well my fellow prisoner of
All that would hold us close and
Yet keep us strangers apart
For fear of a future that dwells in the past
Can only have meaning for those
That would not choose to live for
Today
So you came to me, not readily, but
With a heavy heart that bore
The consequences of a life gone by
And once again you chose the path of
Lonely existence for history would
Forever be your reticence, so like
The lonely Wolf
You vanished as you appeared, and yet
I would sense the sadness of your soul
But I would always whisper adieu
For some things are not for the capturing
And must remain
Forever blossom on the wind

Curry in a hurry

The battle lines were drawn
The scope quite unique
There was to be a judge
Whose buds you had to tweak
They brought in a specialist
Experience their claim
To see who could win
The title of the same
There wasnt a time frame
For this to all occur
So squeezing it in
Was kinda a blur
The key to it all
Was to measure correct
Not to slap it all together
An say what the heck
I was nervous to start
When tasting had arrived
But was overly bemused
When everyone had survived
The vote went for me
At the end of the night
Coconut chicken curry
A yummy delight

LISTEN

I DID'NT HEAR YOUR VOICE TODAY
TO ME THAT VOID'S BEYOND DISMAY
I PLAYED WITH TONES THAT WERE OF YOU
AND LISTENED LONG TILL TWILIGHT'S DUE

WHAT IS THE SOUND I CANNOT HEAR
LIKE SILENT FLOW O'ER RIVER'S WEIR
WHAT IS THE MIND THAT CAN'T PERCEIVE
NATURE'S EVOLVE IN LIFE'S CONCEIVE

YOUR ECHO LOUD IS NOW IN ME
I CLOSE MY EYES TO SILENT BE
YOUR PRESENCE GLOWS THROUGH MYSTIC HUES
AND SOFTLY CROONS FOR ME TO MUSE

I DID NOT MISS YOUR VOICE TODAY
IT NEVER DIMMED NOR WENT AWAY
I KNOW THAT VOICE IS PART OF ME
LIKE WHISTLING WIND AND ROARING SEA

Back to Earth

So fair and fickle as a full grown child
Youth is captured in your radiant smile
A name you chose to become more styled
Is masking what you've been known for awhile

When fame and fortune replacing your soul
Is not something you ever consider
Why wonder why life is out of control
When you sell life to the highest bidder

The limelight glows on the stage you enter
For turning back is out of the question
A spotlight shines on you front and center
And accounts for your manic depression

When fame sets you apart from the masses
Time to take off those rose colored glasses

light the way

Angel of light you shine on me
For reasons i am unaware
In the presence of your aura
I feel no despair
A beautiful soul with a beautiful goal
Entices me to share
Vibrant like a flower
From afar i see you there
Narrow is times window
But words do not scare
Amidst the aisles of life
Your smile shows that you care...

Gidday

It was only a phone call
In the scheme of things
But with it came
A sense of beckoning
A voice from the past
To raise the spirit
Catching up with the world
Had its merit
So far advanced
An so far behind
There's no comparison
Between our kind
But our ties go back
Forever an a day
Lifelong memories
Always to stay
An even though
Its always a while
A simple gidday
Enthuses my smile
