Oh! Nathaniel!

From gentle hearts
does one swoon
or is this a play
mixed within the womb

cry as you
die as might
who really is the star tonight

cracking paces gripping solace
riding the back of
succulent molluscs

grasping tethered feathers
sand dunes
a rightly home

who cares
towards the drums that beats

if I could only strum a tear
yet play the heart
bring silence

with no fear

they want to judge you now

as powers that be

come not
sit amongst
we shall
let it be

but stand
ner'falsify

within your cloak

Yet

lean upon your trim
for to give away the thread

falling crushed to your knees

they know not
you are
HIM

The Magical Corner

On the ocean at night,
A soft kiss of fresh air,
the world that is breathing.
Golden and silver lights bright up the sky,
Hearts in harmony,
Beats of happiness,
I see all of you,
I feel all of you,
And i dance with you
with no fear
the dance of the gods
on this oceans of words.
Your smiles are the taste of life...
In this magical corner
It is a beautiful night.

A prayer for Pinkpoetress ....

Dear Pinkpoetress be brave
Though we know your pain is grave,
For with prayers in our thoughts
May the Lord your malaise sorts.

While today it's you my dear,
And tomorrow's oh so near.
Could be me or someone else
Needing prayers and a verse.

Dear, dear lady rest assured
That your call is not ignored
With dear God in mind and heart
You'll be better for a start.

Everybody has some cross
Moving on gathers no moss.
And with us do share your pain
Our prayers won't be in vain.

God bless you, for a friend in need is a friend indeed,

The Irish Fisherman

Water, sand and the sea it is all a part of me
Irish to the core
Who could ask for more?
I don't lift my finger to sip my tea
I am a power-lifter don't you see?
Blunt and very tough
Around the edges a little rough
But when I pick up my pen
I can take you places you have never been
As I let my words flow
Your knowledge will surely grow!

Rainbow bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....Author unknown...

a sunset unshared ...

I was drowning in the golden glow of the dying day,
One evening in the early days of May.
I was alone taking in this wonderous sight.
Pity, for there was enough to share this beautiful disk's dimming light.
A ray.
One ray can kill the blackest night and lifts the soul.
Such a delight.

troubled hearts

I feel your pain
it pours out
there is no shame
love is a gift
it is with us in all we do
in every breath we take
so, as you travel on
down life's path
reach out, let it in
night is always darkest
before the dawn of day
turn your face to the sun
let the light shine in
open your eyes
see the suffering
in every face you pass
take heart from it
move forward, move on
follow the light
let love shine on you

For 'S'

Silent is the sky
Silent is the moon
Silent is the ocean
Silent shall I be soon.

Whom will you whisper
and whom will you say?
'Me ' will be a 'mummy'
Only to turn into some clay.

So my soul you save
Which is there in the cave
Of sins and of sorrows
Which will lead me to my grave.

Pray you at the end
Never make me bend,
For 'me' is 'you' and 'you' 'me'
And to each other a friend.

if i were an iPod

Embedded image from another site

if i was an iPhone or maybe even an iPod
you would turn the speaker up just to hear me speak
and we'd talk
if i wasn't just a dog

i would be with you all the time
and we'd even go for long walks at night
if i could be something else that could be seen
maybe you would see me

if i was a TV
maybe you would pay more attention to me
or even if I was just the remote control
i would be the one you always want to hold

if i was your Xbox or even just a video game
then you would sit with me instead
and we could play games together everyday day

if i was your brand new car
then together we could drive under the stars
and as long as i can ride with u
i dont care how far or what we do

if i was your girlfriend
i think of all the time we'd spend
but im just a stupid dog
i'm not even a personal friend you call

but you were the one that picked me up
you picked me out of all the other pups
and for that i wouldnt change you at all
i will come every time my name is called

About this poem:
so many irresponsible pet owners, if you don't want a pet or have time for a pet then don't get a pet. so many animals are euthanized because of peoples sudden change of hearts.think it through. only one in ten dogs born ever find a real home. i'm not an animal rights activist, i just think it sucks...cheers

Savannah Cafe

Voices mingle with the scuffle of shoes clicking,
and doors slamming shut.
The smell of coffee and cinnamon buns permeates
the air...
Movement...sound...senses rage in overdrive,
and yet still.
Questions of whether the coffee is actually tea,
or are these simply pancakes...just not so flat?

I recognize some of the faces from long ago,
especially the man in the glass.
He stares into my eyes without notice,
melancholy and mystery hovering close by...

It is his frozen voice that I mimic from time to time.
Standing to shuffle my way to the door and you
are here too, in the corner alone..
I had hoped you'd never find me here...
Slicing through plumes of blue smoke,
Your eyes invite me to sit with you.
I am near you now... settled in this booth,
and not so alone.

A wonderful place to eat! It may be closed now (River Street), but I used to frequent this venue when I lived in Beaufort, SC.
