Rainbow brings sunshine into my life.
After the rain,
In the beautiful moment,
Just as the air clears,
Before the first rays appear,
That’s when I sense a blessing is on the way
My rainbow is here
Her many colours painting my day

He has a quiet but gentle way yet He stands strong and firm,
His chest is a rock, a haven to lean on,
His arms close around me so I know I am safe,
but if I wanted to leave I know I can.
His mind is deep and interesting, loving and sexy, kinky and gentle.
He believes in me and never hurts me knowingly but helps me grow.
He wants me for who I am and as I am...
He is not perfect and has many faults,
He is real and makes mistakes,
He is human and hurts, laughs and cries like anyone else.
Love and Life is learning and finding the One who you dream about
and the One who is real in one MAN.

About this poem:
Wouldn't it be wonderful to find someone who was your perfect Man, the one you dream about in a real Man:-)
but then we need to blend a real human being into that dream as well and see the perfect imperfections as precious.

"Hey Mizzy, it's the wise old fairy here,
from your poem "That little piece of Magic",
I'm here concerning your Love story,
As I don't want the end to be tragic.
I suspose to be fair, you have found Love,
All be it just over the net,
And not with anyone ordinary,
But the ravishing lady Odette.
Now Mizzy it seems you've done everything right,
In the courtship she's both laughed and cried,
And ye both have written fine Love poems,
With jaw dropping passion inside.
But Mizzy I think you're moving too slow,
You seem to be dragging your heels,
Be careful that you don't lose her intent,
In between all the jigs and the reels.
The passion between ye is a thing to behold,
A bond that has slowly grown,
A meeting of minds in poetic dance,
To a Love now carved in stone.
"Get thee to England" at your first chance,
Is my final advice in the tale,
But "go easy" for when these huge energies collide,
It may register on the Richter Scale ! "

My Love she cried a swollen tear today,
And I her stallworth honour did defend,
A friend that she knew well has gone away,
The wounds of this cruel hurt I tried to mend.
I stood beside her in that sad distress,
For those sad thoughts she found it hard to snub,
I know she would protect like lioness,
If it were me, and I her offspring cub.
I feel our friendship moved and grew from this,
This ladies patient grace did me beguile,
And on her lips I'd place a fervent kiss,
Those same sad lips that now do hold a smile.
Within my thumping heart today she hides,
Pure sunshine now where e're she is, resides.

I know some ladies adore men with big hands,
It's a worry that I have beared,
For mine are the Artistic, Creative type,
To which, this defense I've prepared.
Men with big hands can be awkward and rough,
And would tour a woman's body at will,
Where my soft hands would show you respect,
And only with permisson, would thrill.
Strong hands on the wrong man, a dangerous thing,
As they can easily fold to fists,
And physically bruise a pretty face,
To a Love story with a bloody twist.
The fear I have is that you won't like,
My hands when the time is nigh,
For your dainty hands might turn away,
And wave my hands Goodbye !
If I saw my reflection in the beginnings of a tear,
That welled in the corner of your eye,
My kind hands would wipe it away,
as they couldn't bear to see you cry.
If my hands were in a room full of hands,
You would know them immediately it's true,
The left one waving to catch your blue eyes,
The right one extended to you.
So take it my Dear, and together we'll stroll,
In Wordsworths hills and dales,
Along by the lakes and the meadows,
On the endless winding trails.
To walk in the footsteps of our Hero,
Now that really sounds quite grand,
But to wander there would only be complete,
If we could do so......Hand in Hand. !

About this poem:
This is my last poem on The Corner,my heart or my head is not right for poetry at present. It has been Awesome, I heart fully thank you all !
A poem is such a potent thing.....
Yet misunderstood it can be a powerfully negative force.
I had this one already written........a poem not shared is selfish !
I bow out with a tear..........Mick. xxx .

I stand atop a great mountain,
Standing with my head held high
As I embrace myself
With a smile on my face
For a while I felt alone
Nobody who understood,
But now I know
That there are more of us
Those who understand,
About the dark times
When we feel we've lost everything,
And no one knows but us
But then I met a man
Who taught me about life
Who taught me how to express myself
And he is now my greatest friend
Then I met more
Who write with a passion
And a heart,
With their words
On this mountain we stand together,
United as one
But hold hands together,
Boldly staring those who don't believe us
We stand to fight
And we will not lose,
For we know there is a way to inform others
And that is with our poetry

When I Am With Her
When I am without her, the sun doesn’t shine as brightly.
When I am without her, the clouds are dark and foreboding.
When I am without her, the birds don’t sing as sweetly.
When I am without her, the walls close in on me.
When I am without her, in the depths of my hell, whispering her name sustains me.
But, when I am with her, she lifts me up.
When I am with her, I have the strength to move mountains.
When I am with her, I can withstand anything.
When I am with her, her smile warms my very soul.
When I am with her, the angels sing her name.
When I am with her, I fall in love all over again.

With St Paddy's Day just around the corner, when the world becomes Irish,
I have decided to set a "Poem Dedication" challenge to all poets.
You can dedicate your poem to anyone or anything and there are no rules,
It can be a thank ya Tanka or a lonely lament.
This week I kindly had a poem dedicated to me by Odette67 and I am still enjoying
the afterglow. She also enjoyed my return Tanka.
I now wish this feeling on other poets ........There are people also who just read
the poems..........they too are invited to write those first tentative lines.
This is great.....the pressure is off me..........so thinking caps on now Poets.
Happy St Patrick's Day to all !!! Mick.

There is decent poet that frequents the site,
A veteran oozing verse and fable,
The life and soul of the party,
He would do a good deed if able.
But recently he released a secret,
Concerning the size of his weener,
Unusual for a man with his colour skin,
And quite a substantial demeanor.
So in honour of Robert and Tia,
As together they make a "small" pair,
I know he'll kill me for re-naming him,
Robert Hammond Medium Sinclair.

Look at the mirror,
Look back at those eyes,
It's not cold like mine,
So your heart is not stone.
Love is a stranger,
Just like fire and ice,
Someday you will find,
A man who loves you right girl.
And if you fall through the cracks,
I'll be there with the poetry pack,
We will show you from the lost way,
Lovingness and bring your old self back.e
