Yesterdays Plan

Yesterday I made a plan, to be
a good and better man,
No more bad and no more sorrow,
I'd instigate it all tomorrow,
I can't live in the future, can't
live in the past,
won't be the first, won't be the last,
So, I put it off until tomorrow,
I'm doing it now, this plan I follow,
Cause today is yesterday's tomorrow.

COMMUNICATIONS

Thousands of words are spoken each day.
Yet true communication is rare.
We speak inadquate words of pointless chi-chat.
To cover up our fears.
Rare are the friends to whom we can speak,
of things that we feel inside.
Be it tenderness, love, or nonsense or just our foolish pride.
True friends won't be shocked by your weakness.
They know you are less than a saint.
Speak of things that touch you,
and don't try to be something you ain't.
You may find your friend has been waiting, insecure, with feet of clay.
To find someone to talk of things her heart has to say. copyrighted

A sea of emotion.

Wistful sea,of our emotion,
the ebb and flow of sentiment.
Helpless to,the force of nature,
destined where,the wind has sent.

Continuum,relentless motion,
no port of call,in which to rest.
Here flows a tide,of resignation,
o'er undercurrent,of unrest.

No longer floating on the surface,
ride,the wave of discontent.
At last,the strength,to swim regardless,
until the time,all torment spent.

Laugh at all,tempestuous anger,
fear not,the pain,or sadness sink.
Relish all impassioned splendour,
till driven to the very brink.

9:02

A staggered thought was broken as a whistle filled the night
The 9:02 had just left town and farewelled all the lights
She echoed across the water, this bay where I call home
And on the breeze,I thought I heard "you are not alone"

I watched her leave and ride the rails,a sight as she sailed by
Her whistled sounding strong and clear, she met the night with pride
I wondered of her passengers and where they all would stand
When at last stop, they would get out and walk upon the land

Some will be in loving arms, greeted by their family and friends
Theres are those who will be waiting for a taxi to round the bend
There might even be a loner,in fact I know its tried and true
That no matter where the train pulls in,warmth will only touch a few

For in the world as we are sleeping,as we do our daily chores
There are many people lost, who do not have whats mine and yours
A family to love them and to help them walk the line
Just somebody who'll care enough,to meet the train on time

Mitakuye Oyasin (we are all related)

Dance a new dream, see with eyes of warm colours
Immerse your soul in natures song
Love all your worldly sisters and brothers

In your happiness of self,do not forget the sorrow
Of many who still hope and wish
For a better tomorrow

Take them into your daily prayer,a thought for young and old
Hold close the thoughts, within your heart
Hear their stories told

Old man by the dust bin, clothes of rags and rope
All he needs is a thoughtful ear
Some understanding,lend some hope

Easy are the footsteps,to walk and turn the eyes
But hope you are never the old man
Who from the dust bin, lives his life

See not the aging skin, nor the smell of bathless days
Take this man and offer him
A gentle caring way

And of the one whose colour, does not match your own
Smile..for they're your kindred
And this earth is everybodys home

a friend

A friend is someone we turn to
when our spirits need a lift.

A friend is someone we treasure
for our friendship is a gift.

A friend is someone who fills our lives
with beauty, joy, and grace.

And makes the whole world we live in
a better and happier place.
