Live For Tonight

Another story written down
In the pages of our lives
Talkin bout how we laughed
Until we cried
We said we'd live until we died
But who's to say when
This pen will ever run dry

All i'm trying to do
Is just live for
Tonight
All i'm asking of you
Is just live for
tonight

We put some miles on
These broken soles of ours
We had some falls
Got some bruises
And some scars

They remind us
Of the lessons
We had to learn

And now we're older
But we're still learning
What it is to burn

All i'm trying to do
Is just live for
Tonight
All i'm asking of you
Is just live for
tonight

Bridge/Solo

All I'm trying to do
Is just live for
Tonight
All I'm asking of you
Is just live for
Tonight

"I quit"

How does it feel when you call and get no answer?
When letters come back with a postage stamp return to sender?
Guess who finally gets to sleep at night?
Yes me, now you have to find someone else to argue and fight with. Sorry for not giving a notice of my resignation to this so call love and friendship, but now you know, I quit

Naiara Moraes Conclusion

Conclusion

I think if one day I do not have love with you,
But you will be the creature that I will need more
Where to get my car and driving off alone,
Buy a wine and I'll call that afternoon
Can I go to your house?
And take wine together
Talk about our lives and wrongs
And together come to a conclusion:
Even a day apart,
We're made for each other
So I know that we will be more united than ever,
For we shall be great friends,
Dream you're my best friend
Thank you for that!

"Goodbye Friend"

Its disappointing when those you hold dear to you cease to care.
When there are no helping hands to wipe away your tears of despair.
You wonder if its too much for them to offer a moment to show concern
But there will come a day when finally the fool will learn.
It is in the essence of life that every human
has their own moment of helplessness.
Just how you let me hear my own cries echo
without an answer, i'll leave you in distress.
I was mistaken to ever call you friend.
There are some things that you can never mend.
With your neglect you spat on my heart,
the one thing that had nothing but love for you.
I don't hate you, friendship wasn't meant for me and you.
I can survive your mistake but can you?

The Flowering of Friendship

Did you see it? Did you see it this morning?
The sun is beginning to rise earlier now; and when we awake
it’s waiting there to greet us with it’s light,
and soon to be....it’s warmth.
What a glorious time of the year to initiate a new friendship.
For just as the heralding of Spring holds a promise yet to unfold,
so it is with friendship.
I am going to plant a flower, and call it By Your Name,
to remind myself that friendship requires faith and patience.
FAITH because when I look at that tiny seed that has no beauty...
I must trust... in the potential it holds within itself....
and each day as I watch it grow, just a little at a time,
I will be reminded of the importance of PATIENCE,
for it will reveal itself and come to fruition
in it’s own natural time.
Why should I try to force it, or control it, or manipulate it,
when it already knows.. best... it’s own hidden secrets.
I am but an instrument, here to nurture.
To learn it’s needs... so well...
so that I can give it the best care I can.
First I will start it inside where it’s cozy and warm
I will feed and water it, and as a mere observer I will let it be,
to unfold, as it’s inner being directs,
and someday, when the time is right,
I will set it outside in the sunshine,
and allow it to reward me with it’s glorious brilliance.
There for my pleasure... simply to be enjoyed.....appreciated
and so it is, with friendship.

Friends indeed

A true friend always knows when a friend needs help, always asks to lend a hand, never has to ask twice.
A true friend accepts everything a friends does even if it hurts, acceptance is the first step to a strong friendship.
Understanding where one stands is a huge factor with friendship, the ability to walk in your friends shoes is a necessary task of all true friends.
Putting a friends need first can be good or a really bad thing, you must know who your friends are before you stick your neck out cause you could end up with the consequences.
A compassionate friend is the greatest friend, one who feels just as you do , and can walk by your side guiding you in the foot steps you cant seem to find alone.
A friend does not judge! only shares his/her values or morals to contribute to a positive mental attitude.

New Sweet Fellowship

In the shadows malice and neglect prowl within it
Fear and mistrust stalk quietly waiting to devour
If uncloaked the vision would be tender compassionate
Its words are soothing, tempting, beguiling, empowered

All seeing all consuming it draws the broken spirit
Mesmerising, captivating yet delicately, cleverly malevolent
Camaraderie and empathy woven in silken tongue unfurled
With whom this new sweet impending fellowship perfidy is inherent

Scepticism and uncertainty prevails casting long shadows
Fulfilment and amity within proximity to the tentative open hand
Might potency unbind what they can comprehend and thrive
Unrequited, confined, intrinsic, shrouding genuineness and hope

Treachery and disappointment besmirched sanguinity lost
Glorious, perilous endeavour replenishes abandoned allegiance,
Solitude and seclusion shield the despondent bankrupt heart
Honesty beseeches desperately seeking expectant contentment

To walk wantonly, abandoned and free of lowliness shackles
Rises turbulent, unrestrained, joylessness abandonment
Jeopardy grips vicelike, unbridled trepidation cannot condone
Panicked laboured breath, unrequited excitement for hope
Judgement cast aside reinstates hopeful possibility of joy

Unbridled faith unguarded rises like an ephemeral promise
Human frailty personified, unreciprocated and loveless life
Despoiled and bloodied indignant cynicism, tarnishes expectations
Eternal fervent determination drives optimistic credence home

And He Took No Prisoners

Unrequited loves stature, stoic, forbidding and so hopelessly bleak
Masculine, vainglorious and ostensibly far too proud to be weak
From loves tender breast, warm and nurturing, with hope and grace
Betrayed dreams and loves eternal expectations, erased from your face

Lost in the raging abyss of true love, besmirched with pain and hatred
Pitilessly torn down and rebuffed without aspiration and left dead and fated
Anger and recrimination for a possibility of hope that lies crushed and broken
From bitter contorted lips, holding back the words of conciliation never spoken

Disappointment pent up sorrow shackled pensively and securely inside
Ebbing away fondness of memories, intensifying a murky obliterating tide
You’re weeping unforgiving heart breaking, cruelly smite viciously through
Your future resolves not to be touched by those who will callously forsake you
To continue life’s journey alone and resentfully bitter without hope and sensation
A squandered future from possible delight, now eluding chance of repatriation

Not to hear the soloist from the crescendo of the symphony playing deep inside
The fire that burns so intensely consuming and devouring all traces of pride
Now your words that taunt and deride the forbidding convention you now affect
There’s no white flag; there can be no surrender, no reach you don’t suspect

What I hear is the shattering of a broken spirit the sound of your breaking heart
The disquiet of that which brought joy of love, but forgot to tell of the searing pain
That the bonding edifice of two souls that intertwine and loves replicas produced
Desirous lust for a burning passion, the spirits easy compliance to be seduced

The fire that burnt so bright is all but extinguished with a destiny not yet quelled
And with life’s inevitable descending shadow and waiting tears welled
Should feigned lament of a love lost and a bitter reproach deflect?
The joy to be loved by you and be rescued from this empty reject

And yet precedent reflections project starkly with redolent clarity
The jagged shards of trampled love’s poignant echo remain in parity
Every torrent chafes a course consuming all that blithely flowed before
The halcyon hazes manifestation weeps for a crippled passion restored
