sky

The flower of the Alps told the seashell: "You're shining"
The seashell told the sea: "You echo"
The sea told the boat: "You're shuddering"
The boat told the fire: "You're glowing brightly"
The fire told me: "I glow less brightly than her eyes"
The boat told me: "I shudder less than your heart does when she appears"
The sea told me: "I echo less than her name does in your love-making"
The seashell told me: "I shine less brightly than the phosphorus of desire in your hollow dream"
The flower of the Alps told me: "She's beautiful"
I said: "She's beautiful, so beautiful, she moves me."

Tribute to Friends (Pt1)

When I was a little girl
I often wished to travel the world,
Meeting people every day seemed to me the best way
I would pretend that I'm on a steam ship to
Far away Indonesia,
At times I even thought I'd be on safari in Africa
Then when I read our Kerrygold milk pack
I'd wonder about Ireland
They say it's the home of leprechauns, little green men,
How I'd love to see one of them
But I'd never been anywhere thus far
And so they all stayed in my head...
Well, if you want we could count St. Lucia...
Then one day I browsed online and came to a site
Connecting Singles all around
Across sea, through the air and on the ground
I met different but wonderful folks like Shadow, Serenity, Morgen, Spartacus and many more
And I can't forget Darkhorse... curly hair and twinkly eyes,
The list can go on and on
But I must mention it was there I met Poet#1
They came from places I'd only read about and shared their stories of War and love, through their poems and their prose
Sometimes it was just letting out their woes
With words of comfort and encouragement
They've managed to become my friends
And even if we're worlds apart
I will always carry them in my heart

"Troll"

Days of silence.
Measured be your conscience.
Such a portrayal of oneself.
I should have kept to myself.
Here I thought we had friendship.
A one of kind without the need to hold one tongue or censorship.
One say kill, the other say bury.
When there’s a need, the other will come with “Hermes hurry”
The exorcist that exorcise the other’s demons of worry.
To value our friendship more than oneself and have the humility to say “sorry”
I always thought it would have been me and you against the world.
Be friends for life, laughing till we were old.
November has never been this cold.
But I guess the witch have no more use for this troll.

Start with Friends

My heart has been damaged and of course so has your.
Our walls are high and strong and will remain as so, if we stay this course.
You don't start with love, you start with friend.
And if we are lucky we will still be in the end.
A good friend to have is something I yearn.
But the love of a friend is something earned.
I know this as should you.
So I am sorry that I am waiting on cue.
For that spotlight and curtain call,
To tell me to go and give it my all.
To be the best of a friend that I can be.
And hoping your striving for the something as me.

Blank Page

I sit here starring at a blank page wondering what to write.
Everything I start, ends with in three lines, and never seems right.
My mind is running frantic in a million different directions.
I can't get a hold on it, to even try and release the tensions.
I'm having a hard time concentrating on one single thing.
And even when I try, I have found it quite baffling.
It's a smile, an embrace and it's the eyes.
It's a someone to my surprise.
So I shake my head and try to clear my mind.
Hoping it'll be blank for a short time.
But it never does and never will.
And sooner or later it will just refill.
With worry and it's brother fear.
Making the future so much more unclear.
So I close my eyes and let my mind run.
Knowing someday it too, will come undone.
I will continue to sit here and stare at this page.
Till something comes along to help me engage.
To help me straighten out my thoughts.
Instead of just these jumbled snapshots.

This is you???

I saw you so long ago in a different light.
Once upon a time in a different life.
Your so different now and I'm not sure how to feel.
I keep wondering and asking what the deal.
Have you always been this damaged or is this new?
Did you do it to yourself or did some girl do this to you?
Was I blind before and did not want to see?
That you were teetering on the edge of the tee.
Or is what I remember the truth in it's smallest form.
But I guess this new you is you for now and forever more.

My definition of a friend

A person who from the first time you meet you feel a connection like north and south of a magnet there is a an attraction
You can tell this person anything with no fear of deception
Never having to worry that your words will be used as a weapon
You start to feel free and peace of mind
Like a heavy weight has been lifted and left behind
As the relationship grows one begins to see
The clarity of life and what it means to be
A friend like you ,and me to thee.

Neophyte of life

I’m a neophyte of life, attentively seeking edification. Knowledge in everything else has no occurrence to me. Perhaps you’d call me ignorant, in some ways I’d agree. Math, Science and history have a small database in my memory. As interesting as the subjects may be, information is usually released and set free. However, tell me a story of you and the lesson of that will always be retained. I absorb those around me like a sponge; they are what feed my intelligence. I do not know much of atoms and cells or other complexities of science that befuddle my mind. Nor do I indulge in formulated math. But I understand what it means to grieve and have a broken heart; I grasp the meaning of the human condition. I understand that our thoughts are none but our own, all the same but perceived on many different levels. I know that, without a doubt, no matter how much a text book can teach, before I leave here, to go wherever it is we may go, even if it’s nowhere at all, the one thing worth my time spent in these waking hours is the time I learned from you. The time I bonded with another living breathing thing, atoms and cells will be obsolete; math will have no equation in it. I absorb it from all that I meet, pretty, smart, fat, thin, ugly, dumb, positive or negative or any other trait we give word to, there’s a lesson in us each. Even if our meeting is brief and I care not to meet again, still something there I’ve taken away, still something I’ll have learned. We all have something to teach even though we’re unaware of the teaching, and I’ll be the one there to learn it should we ever meet.
