God Over Us

God over us
like hard rock covering land mollusks,
shielding them
from tropic sun
(like hell raging on Gomorrah)
and velvety ocean breeze
carrying salt to season coconut water.
Zebra type, like a leopard’s stubborn spots,
Shun the selfless offering
for the small of a hard back;
the product is beheld on hot concrete.

If we as March hares, fast,
hippity hop
in green pastures
his Spirit pulled from a top hat,
but when rain clouds change complexion
screening the eye of sun,
we set off along crooked burrows
to escape morning shower.
At home we are mostly wet.

Joseph in colored coat;
his reading of Pharaoh’s memory
is for his days
(the vision still stands).
Meager bulls swigging loaded cows
and Lot galloping hard
with back against Sodom.
How damaged are we
when children bear no children?

Say Dear

love in letter
ripped torn
thorn touch it
now got a scar to remeber
all days allthese ways
life burns faster
picture becomes memorie
in this word i look dictinary
does it become clearer
become nearer
say dear
take all throw it away
does it become clearer
become nearer
love in letter
ripped torn
thorn touch it
now got a scar to remeber
long road
heavy load
story told
may be hot cold
pray to the lord
become nearer
say dear
take all throw it away
does it become clearer
become nearer
love in letter
ripped torn
thorn touch it
now got a scar to remeber
unverse that galaxy
champagne becomes shattered glass
now got a scar to remember
in that thorn
word sworn
after before
now got a scar to remeber

another day
another way
inside iv'e died
love in letter
ripped torn
thorn touch it
now got a scar to remeber
life burns faster
picture becomes memorie
in this word i look dictinary
does it become clearer
become nearer
say dear
take all throw it away
does it become clearer
become nearer

KITTY HEAVEN

I'M DROWNING, IN MY OWN SORROW; I'M NOT SURE; THEY'LL BE TOMORROW; THE LOVE OF MY LIFE; MY JASMINE; HAS GONE TO KITTY HEAVEN! AS SHE LAY, DYING, SHE SAID; DADDY; YOU MADE ME, SO VERY HAPPY; I COULD NEVER WISH FOR A BETTER PAPPY; I'LL ALWAYS LOVE YOU; BUT RIGHT NOW, I'M OFF TO KITTY HEAVEN! FOR FOURTEEN YEARS, WE HAD NO FEARS; OUR BOND CAN NEVER BE BROKEN; I ALWAYS FEARED, THE DAY WOULD COME; WHEN I WOULD LOSE, MY ONLY ONE! I WAVED GOODBYE, AS SHE ASCENDED, TO THE SKY, TO RESUME HER LIFE, WITHOUT ME; IN KITTY HEAVEN! I PRAY TO THE LORD, EVERYDAY; THAT I'LL BE ALLOWED TO ENTER AND STAY; WITH MY DARLING JASMINE, IN OUR NEW HOME, KNOWN AS; KITTY HEAVEN!

LIFE IS SO CRUEL! WHY DID MY LOVE HAVE TO LEAVE WITHOUT ME?

Next to Me

I’d been driving with expectation
To reach a certain destination
Without indulging hesitation

When I first felt you…
Next to me

Heading where I want to belong
Working hard for so very long
After watching my life go wrong

And I still felt you…
Next to me

In the silence there we gelled
Then you spoke and broke the spell
We’d be together, you did foretell

All the while I felt you…
Next to me

Now your thoughts are in my head
Your aim is sure, you often said
Our dear friendship instinctively wed

And I truly felt you …
Next to me

Then we let our loves slip by
Never stopped to reason why
It wasn’t in us to even try

Now I keenly felt you…
Next to me

Time can never be replaced
Once it’s gone it gets erased
Only the future is able to wait

Where I will forever feel you…
Next to me

Buried

I gathered
All of the loneliness
And laid it to rest
In a tomb
Named “Hope”
So many attended
To say their
Last goodbyes
And wish
A final adieu
To a now
Forgotten emotion
Who had haunted
Them for so long
They smiled
And caressed
With hands
That could
Now feel a future
The tomb
Named “Hope”

I gathered
All I could
Of life’s emptiness
And sealed it
In a bottle
Named “Desire”
And set it adrift
In the sea
Named “Tranquillity”
Never more
To again
See the shores of life
So many attended
To bid their
Last goodbyes
And wash away
An unwanted fear
Who had journeyed
With them for so long
But now
Was cast aside
Like he’s brother
Who lay
In a tomb
Named “Hope”

And of all
My gatherings
The most that
Brought me comfort
Was “Despair”
For my journey
Had finally allowed
Me to cast aside
This
The most destructive
Of my Demons
And once again
I could taste
“Life”

BELIEVE

I still believe in magic and miracles
Never lost my sense of wonder and whimsy

I still believe in love
Because its the best of who we are and can ever be

I still enjoy exploring and discovering new things
Slow dancing in the shadows

I still find little nooks and crannies
To sit back and watch the world go by

The dream is always the same....

Searching

When you have
so much to give
but within the people
that surround you
you find
know one
is it not then
you become afraid
of the path
that stands before you
the path that has
no short cuts
for the happeness
that you wish to give

so much to give

no title

leaf of hearts
and loves the silver ribbon of the moon
wound like a river
through the story of my days
her face
but a waning sliver on the tide
reflecting a different side
of these dreams

a pebble
cast by no mortal hand

Laundry

When people lie to you, do you think they know?

Is it intentional, this
spiral they put you through like ropes on a pulley, strips of cloth
spinning round the washing machine
as a child
painted to the brim
pokes gleefully at the bended glass?

Laughter bubbled away
into silence; airtight inside.
White linen stretches and snares
in the spokes, ripped
edges frayed.
Plaid summer dress flops over
tiny knees balanced on doll toes,
a chubby arm swaying
in slow motion, pointing,
red paint on the tip
of her nose, scrunched eyes
glisten under a dripping shank of
summer -
blond hair.
