MOM

Mom, you left this vile world on Oct. 4, 2008
the utter cruelty of your passing I'll always hate
for a moment every day I cry for you inside
when you exhausted your last breathe I too died

Crushing emptiness since you left mother dear
love and thoughts of you could never disappear
Gatherings minus you lacks meaning like before
honestly they aren't looked forward to anymore

Mom I hope you forgave any hurt I caused you
inducing pain one thing I'd never purposely do
Most important was showing how deeply I cared
forever cherishing every single moment we shared

Love for you stronger than any words could convey
sorry if I made you doubt that for even a day
Saying "I hope I die before you" wasn't being insane
losing you brings to fruition my most undesirable pain

I knew your spouse induced unhappiness for years
your sadness I couldn't ease kept my soul in tears
You weren't just mom you were my only friend
hopeful we'll reunite after my life reaches its end

The last tear..

This old coffee pot
needs cleaning but I
guess it can wait til
tomorrow
The weeds have grown
up around the house
and the bank won't let
me borrow
You're the last tear
shed in my weary heart
and has long since
dried
All that's left is this
old man whose youthful
years have died
It's not good to live alone
taunted by so many regrets
An apology to the Almighty
for renigging on my debts
Still, a memory of you slips
into my day and I toy with
some truth or lie
But that kiss from you can
never deny you're the last
tear I ever cried~

Tears in the Attic

For years her poem slept between
the pages of an old book in the
attic..
She loved me and I loved her but
something went wrong and we parted
For years I languished in guilt and
self doubt about what went went wrong
Time had blunted most of the hellish
pain that had ripped through my soul
in midnight hours
But still..the question of why had
lingered on..
I unfolded the poem which by now had
yellowed with time
It seemed a wiff of her perfume had emited
it's last aroma as I opened the neatly
folded paper
Her tears smugged the ink within the lines
of her soulful words
and this stained poem was her final
memorial to a love that had been choked
by the thorns of misunderstanding
She wrote in words of gentleness that make
me cry for the magic of her touch
What was I without her?
How could I have gone on so long when
the taste of her lips had awakened me
for a thousand nights
What can a man be..what can I be..without her
In dreams I fall upon her neck with kisses
of my soul
In day light I grieve for her dimond moons
There is no sun that can brighten my day
For she is the day of my heart
But where can she be now/
Who has stoled the preciousness of my heart
Bowed over I clutch this poem as a broken
Man
Sun rise has lost its meaning
Starlight is for the magic of another
All I have left are words of breathless
Sorrow
All that remains of me are shadows of
what could have been
All is gone
All I have are tears in the attic~

Release Me ...

Ah, the skin ...
Kiss my chin.

Fingers on my spine ...
Love, so divine.

See, my eyes ...
There will be no disguise.

Linger on my breast ...
Surely, you jest.

Ah, you know ...
Fire is below.

Yet you tempt, you tease ...
Release me, won't you please.

MoonDance

Embedded image from another site

I was alone in my room,
Heard someone tap on my window,

Embedded image from another site

Hey Jack quickly let's go my friend said,
I must be daft because I left with her.

Holding hands we arrived at the beach,
Waves catching our feet as we reach,
A cloud was blocking our sight,
And when it passed,we were awe.

The pull by the moon was magnetic,
It's cool aura washing down my face.
I smile like i never done before,
Without my sight I could feel it's beautiful.

We both splash into the waters,
A faint voice coming from behind us ,
A tug and hug from her and then she was gone,
Just as my mum rush to my side and hugged.

Honey why did You come here all by yourself?
You could have been swept away by the tide.
Did she not see that I was not alone?
A thousand questions played my mind as we walk back home .

About this poem:
A blind boy with his mom
Moved into a new town
On a Full moon
An adventure begins

While his mom at work
He found a friend
To do normal things
Like a normal kid

But his friend is a ghost ......

Touch

Embedded image from another site

I desire to
measure your skin
slowly with my fingers
to gently brush your arm
blending our colors together
white and black
to touch you
just to capture your attention
to hear you whisper
please, come closer...

I wish to share sleep with you
wrapping my dreams around you
taking us to a world
that requires no apologies
for a deep intimate bond
and uninhibited imagination
becomes more torture than virtue
as our past and future merges
choking our air
with trembling tears of joy...

I want you
memorizing you
deep in my blood
in my skeletal bones
within my skin
I see you in my eyes
when I gaze into the mirror
I dream you into reality
I am only half a soul
without you now...

I am now lost in the days
in thoughts of marriage
and we choose
our means of touch
putting geography behind us
removing the blinders
and embracing our touch
that is temporarily denied us...

Christ at the Speed of Light

i was not in no way facing my separation
but then again blessed with a second destination

for the devil would break and not withstand
or the demons piss on his every command
walking in sandals of a holy man

what is the center of our existence
is it not the place of most resistance

Lighting the Way

Holiday lights color
December moments.
Their primary colors glow
through the darkness -
yet cannot compete
with the brightness of stars
that shine and self-consume
in their passion to ignite
direction to weary travelers.

Each bulb on the
Christmas string burns
with such low intensity
it cannot kindle the most
delicate branch to blaze -
yet, year after year, attempts
to mimic nature in a twinkling show
of presence, and perhaps substance,
in a world trying to find its way.

About this poem:
I love this season…a cause to ponder meaning within creation, including what we create and celebrate. While recognizing the illuminary icons that lighted our path to the present and those who lead us into the future, we should not underestimate the power of our own efforts to get others as well as ourselves through the darkness of life's winters into the light.

"Alone and Longing"

As I sit here writing these words to you,
I wonder if you can possibly comprehend the longing
That is flowing through my very being.

There are times when the miles that separate us Don't seem quite so distant;

But there are other times, like tonight,
When it seems no matter how far I stretch my arms,
I can't seem to reach you ~ to touch you.

How I long to feel the strength of your arms around me As they hold me close and safe.

The desire to feel my head resting upon your warm chest,
And hear the gentle beating of your heart
Is overwhelming.

It is an amazing and joyous feeling

To know beyond any doubt,

That simply by moving my body ever so slightly,
Or by softly moving my hand as it rests in yours,

I will feel the quickening of your heartbeat

As our bodies exchange private, tender and intimate messages
Without a single word being spoken.

We are together!

HEAVENLY CALL

Rumbles in the distance, the heavens wait
As clouds dense and smokey, wind can rake
Warning of rainfall, hovers in hidden sky
Clap of thunder, replicates a giant's sigh

Dark-evil caps earth, as a warning shakes
Puddles dark-dreary, as miniature lakes
Soon they are rippled, as raindrops fall
Splashes fast and heavy, as heavens call

Bright coloured flashes, light the sky
Rapid heavy rumbles, with speed now fly
Echo every corner, to vibrate the earth
Nature welcomes storm, passionate birth

Roller-coaster ride, angels looking down
Satan takes control, no smiles only frowns
Wait for its passing, when peace bring calm
Birds start singing, soothing nature's balm

When vibrant rainbow, lights a troubled sky
Peace engulfs the earth, atmospheric sigh
Sun starts to trickle, through clouds of grey
Replaces evil with love, nature's special way
