Dark Fringe

Embedded image from another site

Cast yourself away into the deep emptiness
Forever where the sun is blackened
Lunge your self into the walls you stand before
Reevaluate what it is that your living for
Do you swallow your tongue in your transgressions
From the discomfort of your own disappointments
The hollowness in your head echoing and dumb
The beating of a calloused heart begins to grow numb
Death prepares for a guest in a room with no view
As you dance with the devil underneath a pale moon
No anesthesia pulling teeth with rusty pliers make your fist clutch
Grateful for life but could we be happy with this much
Good and evil are not just separated by dead skin
Only to find your soul decaying in the womb of a dark fringe
Crouched over in a hall as you try to find your way out
Incandescent lights are the only hope that you have found
How is the journey as your own enemy? I hope all is well
Have your walls finally crumbled as the earth is cut with a shovel
Shivering and weakened sleeping in cold sweats
I wont throw you away you will always be my friend
There is a little black spot on the sun today
But I hope that it is warm enough that you will stay

"Don't think about it"

i thought i'd seen it all till i ran into you
i thought id done it all till you came into view

i thought i knew it all when i was 16 years old
i thought the line was crossed when doing what i was told

they come from far and wide when they think they'll see a show
they come in faster still if someone's about to blow

they often chase a deer or fox just to shoot it down
they often come back looking for more when they shoulda just left town

Open Minded

Not letting race come between
accepting other peoples views
Befriending someone sight unseen
exercising your right to choose

Listening to the other side
forgiving others when its due
Letting go of stubborn pride
in hopes of starting things anew

Protesting for peoples rights
when they are different from you
Standing in the line all night
just hoping to pass through

Opening up your eyes to see
that our differences are far too few
We all bleed red both you and me
regardless of skin color or tattoo

Lacking True Human Love

Is she a victim or an actress?
Did she lose her good sense?
Is it a sin or self defense?
i guess is only her stress
She said that i am wrong
She says she is strong
She wanna be a human shield
Perhaps she needs a protecting mist
Her heart is a fertile field
But her mind is a winding twist
She thinks i am a legend or folklore
Other men don´t inspire her smile
Probably her lady´s pride is sore
She told me she lives in exile
i guess she is playing "seek and hide"
Always being an evasive enigma
Sometimes she ignores my male side
Probably to be man is a stigma
Well i use to dislike social roles
i keep on removing my commonsense masks
But men are not underworld holes
To judge and to damn are easy tasks
My words of comfort and support aren´t effective
She seems an eternal trouble maker
Maybe a person extremely selective
My dear friend who always create danger

The Murder of An Innocent Man

He,d just turned thirty four
not too many days before.
He knelt and prayed in a garden
knowing well what lay in store.
Arrested, he was dragged away,
his friends all fled in fear.
Not one man left to stand with him,
not one to shed a tear.

"You self righteous bastard!"
from the lips of men were spat!
They didn't live the moral life he did
and they knew that.
By his bright example
their guilt was amplified
The prejudice within their hearts
not quelled until he died.

The cat of nine tails tore his flesh
a crown of thorns brought pain.
The fists of bullies pounded him
over and over again!
The facial hair from off his chin
was torn from it's roots,
His body bruised with passion
from many Roman boots.

He uttered not a single word
in his defence that day.
His blood stained footprints marked the path
as he was led away.
A burdensome cross he shouldered,
dragged on only by his will,
To a place outside the gates
known eversince as Calv'ry Hill.

Six inch nails impalled his flesh
as they nailed him to the wood;
Men mocking him and jeering,
choosing evil over good.
A spear tip brought forth water
as onlookers raised a shout,
The body of Jesus of Nazereth
had finally been bled out.

As he hung there dying
he asked this prayer for YOU,
" FORGIVE THEM FATHER IN HEAVEN,
FOR THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO

Take care of your crown

Queens don't hide their crown
In the shopping bag.
They do not bother to invite anyone
To spend the evening at their throne,
Strangers are not allowed to see
The bitterness of loss in their hearts.
Queens dress up in a smile
When they put on their dress
In the morning
They accept admiration
As a tribute,
And do not melt from flattery.
They do not curse loneliness,
Seeing happy couples ...
Queens are waiting for those
Who are worth
Of their feelings and honor.
But they do not believe
Real kings still exist somewhere.
You cannot change the royal essence:
Do not trade your soul
For crumbs of random shine,
Take care of your crown

MY LOVE

My Love where have you gone
You have left me all alone
I’ve waited year after year
Waiting and waiting to hear

Are you far over the ocean and seas
Where gulls swiftly fly merrily
Or at the peak of a mountain top
Where the clouds fly by non-stop

My heart wishes to hear from you
It craves to see only one view
For it sees only with feelings
Desiring for the love that is healing

My dear where are you now
My love for you abounds
Wherever you are would be home
Please no longer leave me alone

The Lone Storyteller

He wore his best gray Bailey
Though it was a bit battered
His Saturday night denim shirt
The sleeves just slightly tattered.

His jeans were tucked in knee highs
The boots hand made and tooled
He wore his spurs to this event
'Cause town folks think it's cool.

He swaggered to the microphone
And tipped his hat with flair
He announced to the crowd loudly
"This one's about Mary, so fair".

"Now, she was my true love"
"As refreshing as a western morn",
"I could love no other girl
"Pretty as any that was ever born".

"But in the end it could never work"
"Our love was forever damned"
"I'm a cowman, you see, my friends",
"And she always had that little lamb".

The crowd roars it's appreciation
And he bows low at the waist
"I've got more!" he bellows
Not one to leave the spotlight in haste.

For the next hour he recites
Tales of guns, horses and fights
And makes the sponsors reconsider
The idea of the open mike.

He left the stage to much fanfare
And reveled in the new found fame
Certain that all that attended that night
Would remember his family name.

He got in his pickup to take his leave
Knowing he had made an impression
The ladies were surely swooning
And the men battling depression.

"I'll be back", he vowed quietly
"I'm on a historic mission"
"The legend needs to stay alive
"And I tell of the cowboy tradition".

Fearless

Take a bite from the rotten apple
Tearing my darkness apart in two
To light a candle inside its emptiness
Where my soul flowers forever blooms
Filtering through the silence
Within a deep aphotic dream
While my demons quiet whispers
Become such a sweet soliloquy
Never fear the sleeping giants
They stand in the way of their own sun
Befriend your somber phantoms
And they will help you overcome
Reevaluate then disappear
Into my own ecliptic space
Me standing against the shadows
I kneel before Your perfect face
Beneath an annulus of electric blue
The moon reigns upon your head
Like a moth I am drawn into Your light
Where I have died and am born again
With my Defenders at my right hand
In these valleys I shall not fear
Those who have compassed my destruction
Will feel the cold edge of my steel
And for the mountains that stand before me
I will conquer them attempting heights
In my fear I have found my courage
And in my death I will find life

Anyone But You

You are the first thought when I wake each day
straight on the blower to see if your o.k.
you are the best friend that I ever had
and to know you're not well, it just makes me real sad
but in my heart I know I am better person from you
you helped me gain wisdom that I never knew
and you did this by being the one I love all through
for you showed me a love that I want to hold onto
If it was possible I'd take all of your falls,
nail my hands to the ceiling and put my head through a wall
if it meant that you'd get better and be without pain
because you brighten my days up by lifting my rain
It makes me so sad for you, I love you so much
I even feel electricity each time we touch
and I want you to know that you are one of a kind
for when I did meet you I felt Oh! what a find
You are all that I see and this is so true
for I don't notice anyone, anyone but you
