Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas from God to earth
Wise men followed a star from far away
Humble to know how much we are worth
We have a savior to take our sins away

The virgin Mary found favor and in a stable gave birth
In the sky angels rejoiced in the fields shepherds did quake
Merry Christmas from God to earth
God is good God is great

Amongst the madness..........

Old man I see you there
Pushing a trolley as if you don't care
A sparkle in your eyes amongst the fanfare
How is it you have time to share
Polished falseys and a gleaming smile
Little steps forever a mile
Each one so worthwhile
As you bask within your own style
Old man I see your stare
My hand outstretched so I may share
Christmas blessings with love and care
A stranger in your life with gifts to spare........

REFLECTION.....

Anticipation drives you on
Comes the moment, and it's gone
Left behind, wrapping-paper-mountain
Fridge of left-overs, no ones counting

Does it matter, how the day was spent
If true emotion, made a special event
Genuine smiles, pleasure of giving
Talk of the past, of loved ones missing

In homes world over, format the same
A time for children, not stock-piled-gains
Limited gifts, when thought does count
Each year allow, past memory mount

Character building, applied in varied ways
Until next year, when on that special day
Celebrated for gifts, not our saviours birth
Time for reflection, not gluttonous mirth

Whatever outcome, one rule wins through
A time for families, both old or brand new
Sadly there will be singles, eating alone
Those cold on our streets, without a home

At a time when giving, comes to the fore
Caring-sharing, not just presents galore
People make a moment, special gifts
Throughout coming years, give spiritual lift

Whether you donated, food, gift or your time
To share table and hearth, with mankind
Cherish family memories, important too
Remembered by elderly, their past shines through

A simple smile escapes, when sitting alone.....
You returning to memories, from past...private zone
Dragged to the present, to be enjoyed once more
Of family and friends, in a personal memory store......

just my reflections......with all my family in the UK, I spent Christmas with a friends family.....reminding me what makes a family tic.......and how past memories are filtered down to the young ones, as a family catch up......

Angel Child.

Blushing puce, cheeks all aglow,
Is there something I should know?

Dancing fingers, fidget, twirl,
What's afoot my Angel Girl?

Sold your sister? Flushed old Ted?
Ate a hole in my new bread?

Sliding glance, you must have done
Something that you oughtn't Hon.

What's that Darling? None of those?
Now you're twiddling your toes!

Must be bad! Now let's go look!
Is it something that you took?

Ah! There's Jimmy, from next door.
What's he doing on my floor?

Stole a kiss! Did he? Oh Dear!
Whispered sweet things in your ear.

No he WON'T do that again,
Now he thinks you're quite insane!

Iron fist in velvet glove
Is what I said! Not IRON GLOVE!

Let me see if he's OK?
Oh My! Jimmy! What a day!

Now you're puce all over too
From the beating she gave you.

Now SHAKE HANDS to show you care.
You're non-the-worse for wear and tear.

Lesson learned from this event?
Kisses aren't ALL Heaven Sent!

missing earth, or whatever

I see, is becoming more than bored
to be around, and there
right here
Used to be a better population
something new every day, every minute
now, just wait, nothing happens
Liberation, say comes with a price
price of unique?

Have you seen the light

I see the light that shines on me it's not the sun but something within me
All my life I have seen this light is it my soul that my minds eye has in sight
I feel that the world is not what it seems I try to ignor it but its not that easy
Wars around the world they scare me have we learned nothing from history
why do we fight and kill and maim is it the same old story personal gain
Is this why our leaders are doing the same and make up ISIS as the blame
I want to believe that we are free but the way things are going how can we be
Governments are currupt that's plain to see nothing has changed accept for me
One day my soul will come full light and then I'll be free of the lord of the night.

There's No Place To Be But Alone

There's no place to be but alone
I'd make an effort but where is there to go
Yesterday is over and today is almost gone

The rain is so blue
It's having a hard time trying to fall
There's a mist on the window
And memories are not much company at all

There's no need to think about moving on
Cause there's no place to be but alone

My umbrella is leaning against the wall
I stare at it a for a long time
Memories are not much company at all
And it seems like the past is going blind

Maybe I need to live in a little town
Where they have a slow speed zone
There I could walk away the blues
Knowing there's no place to be but alone

New Years Resolutions 2018

Be 165 pounds
Love people for who the are
Win the Lottery
Forgive my enemies, friends, family, and myself
Drink only two pops a week
Read one hour a day and exercise one hour a day
Visit my friends once a week
Fly out to California and road trip to Redwoods National Park
Get a job where I can look forward to going to work
Juggle outside once a week
Get an electric bike
Appreciate the time I have with my friends, family, and coworkers
Eat fruits and vegetables every day
Cook at home four times a week
Write at least five times a week in my journals
Worry less, a lot less
Forget about the past
Live and Love

Happy New Year !

It’s New Years Eve

A time to reminisce, remember absent family and friends
Time to celebrate the present,to contemplate the day’s ahead
Many make new resolutions to maybe get fit, create a business, learn a new skill, try something new or clear out the shed.
Take a step forward in order to bring about the wonderful life we may seek
Some may find love, propose, make promises they mean to keep.

Whatever your position, your passion or your need
And no matter how impossible it may now seem
I hope and pray that the coming year..2019
will bless you with your dream !

Shadows of Life

Lets make our hearts
Wander into the fields
And listen
To the magic whispers of bending grass

Sounds like the wind
Blowing through the hollows
Eyes drifting
Towards the stars at night

My heart sings of joy
When I close my eyes
And dream
About opening them in yours

My face tightens with pain
As I am lying awake
And wonder
How long we’ll be apart

I’m going back home
Walking alone on this earth
And glancing
Down at the ground under my feet

A footprint in time
Lasting only a brief moment
And going
Away from you now

We can fall so far away
Speeding up fast
And get lost
Fading into the noisy crowd

When even the dust
Gathers into the corners
Of our minds
Our memories will grow old

In the shadow of life
Hiding from my feelings
Stuck in time
I am so lost without you
