A forgotten Girl

On spectrum palate
curving colours

it was night of calm

sensing smells of farm
speakers mourned

barking intrusion
such comfort

road to be
no more
bridges

stolen
felt

no more
of what was

I must drive on

THE BATTLE

I think then I wonder,
I wonder then I know,
I understand then I see,
I accept then I grow,

I love then I cry,
I laugh then I sorrow,
Only live for today,
Could be no tomorrow,

I sing then I dance,
I gaze into the sun,
I yearn deeply for wisdom,
Is The Battle ever won?

Says my soul to my heart,
"This thing must end",
Says my will to my longing,
"No. It must surely begin",

Fiercely I fight The Battle,
I stand here all alone,
No one cries for me,
Nowhere to call home.

About this poem:
From my youth I've tried to understand us Earthlings and our thought processes. But most times I feel I'm about the only one who gives a damn.
Just can't find my Tribe.

Ten Cats

Ten cats went for deer hunting
The mercedes cat fell into the abyss
And then there were nine

Nine cats were sleeping on the couch
A heavy chandelier dropped on the cossackcat
And then there were eight

Eight cats were on the hill having a picnic
A big storm flew the sour tomcat away
And there were seven

Seven cats ate some big fish
The serene cat choked a fish bone to her death
And there were six

Six cats were having a big party
The balloon helium tube exploded and torn the track cat apart
And there were five

Five cats sat in front of the fireplace in a cold winter night
The fire suddenly burnt the giant pekaatje cat
And then there were four

four cats played in the garden
The neighbour 's pittbull bit the pedro cat's neck
And then there were three

Three cats were walking by the river bank
A giant crocodile ate the pat cat
And then there were two

Two cats were sailing in the sea
The high tide swallowed the hexagonkeyset cat
And then there was one

The friskyone cat was all alone
She hung herself
And then there was none

PICKING THROUGH THE PIECES

All the little pieces,
fragments and crumbs of life.

The troubles, the love,
the fears and the spice.
Make us what we are today.
Show us where we went astray.

Genetics of course play a part.
wit, talent, mood and smart.
Your fist step into first love.
Those highs of emotion truly absurd.

Insecurities we gather and carry
inform who we should marry.
Too late the wisdom of age dictates,
who would have been the perfect mate.

Our little offspring pick up clues.
Some from me and some from you.
Unintentionally we guide them unwisely.
History repeating itself precisely.

Through it all true love prevails.
We have it in abundance, females.
Mother to child, friend to friend.
It's love in the end that makes amends.

ALONE INSIDE STARE

I know somewhere there is peace,
I'm waiting for the day,
Along life's path I keep searching,
Hoping to find the way,

It's lonely here alone inside,
My windows allowing in no sun,
Crying as I endure someone else's pain,
The torrent of memories just begun,

THE CRUSHING OF BONE,
THE SHREDDING OF SKIN,
HER HEAD TWISTED COMPLETELY BACKWARDS,
HIS HORRIFYINGLY DEVILISH GRIN!

Scorching steps through my minds' parched scenes,
Sidelong glances at forgotten dreams,
No water here, no food, no one to care,
Forever locked,
Into my,
Alone Inside,
Stare.

About this poem:
there is a song by british rockers, the police, called "king of pain." my life has been a series of very tragic experiences, for myself and those i care about. i deal with them ok most of the time. but once in awhile i find myself sitting alone, with my eyes closed, staring.

NO MR RIGHT

I haven't seen one flying to my direction. All I come across are heart breaks and game players....not even the dating site helps to find Mr right. Just gamers and jokers....wherw is Mr right. I know where he is in the mist of nowhere that's for sure.

My Special Lady

We talk almost every day
You are always in a positive mood
Love every minute or our conversations
I think of you always caring for me
We are made for each other
You are always on my mind
I think of you of a moment
A moment of love and passion
A day where we will spend the time of our life
I don't know why I always think of you
My special rose

pledge

All my love, my care, I pledge to only you
To be faithful and sincere all life to you
To love you in pure truth, never lie to you
To be the best of lover, just for only you
To turn your frown to cute smile for you
And to make you ever happy I found you
For this I write this lovely poem for you
I love you, you, you and forever only you

Even if you think I'm lame or outdated
Send me your sweet bitter and better comments
I'm a status of vilage children
Singing and dancing after the rain.
I'm a status of township children
Singing and dancing on top of courigated iron
Poverty branded with banded dream
Yet still hoping for a better tomorrow without sorrow
I revive hope lost deep on liquer in the shebins
Where yesterday dreamers tell tales
Of what they used to be

I am galvanised with freedom of expression
I am a sweating passion of African fesion
My ticket to a gig of life given by God is with me
I am a township cheff marinating chicken
With dust spices feeding the leaders of tomorrow

I am a house builder without a house
I am a motor mechanic without a car
I am a hustler in the streets selling dreams of Jamaica
"Brotherman one love"
I am a status of my own
The child of Africa given birth by Africans
I am the status of my own happiness
I dance to the rythm of African songs
I am a status, updated by God.
