A wet look in your eyes which makes them shine
Reflections of much desire coming through
Twin beacons of searching love be the sign
Becomes the very best we ever knew
Grab hold of my hand let’s run fast away
Away from a place we need escape from
Past the afternoon to pass time of day
Until somewhere near tomorrow does come
Like sweet smell of forest after it rains
Wash and kiss clean upon our human face
Till only the wild scent of flowers remains
Exploring ourselves in our secret place
Precious is time measured in breathes we take
When our world is more what our love can make

About this poem:
Kind of fantasist’s glimpse of a free and unbridled love affair……without hiding under any forbidden inhibitions whatsoever!!

Softly the breeze flows through scented meadows
gentle sounds of water from the rivers
and haunting notes of music crescendos
in the distant background from the speakers
A cascading shower of climbing roses
she waits for her lover impatiently
over his lateness she agonizes
at last his footsteps coming hurriedly
He catches her up in his arms and spins
round and round until dizzy they both fall
her heart and emotions are now tailspins
she loves knowing it could lead to downfall
For to another one he is promised
yet he tells her that his heart belongs to her
she knows that he is a materialist
at first it had seemed a great adventure
Sighing she tells him that he must depart
his plans of her seduction now thwart

Kiss me and calm my wild fluttering heart
Gently swaddled in your protective arms
So fragile is love newborn from the start
Keeping safe from the world and all its harms
Hug me new lover on a summer night
Softly stroke your gentle caressing touch
Fire burning bright, flames of passion ignite
Two souls unbounded in each other’s clutch
Rest now our faces upturned to the stars
Ascending window of heaven a dream
What is life but now love is always ours
As sunlight reflects at night its moonbeam
Pass the desire we have spent on its shores
Brightly both eyes reflect, mine into yours

Bless your kiss be the gentlest touch of love
More tempting than a bowl of ripe berries
Sweetened by the warm summer sun above
Glossed lips, the color of dark red cherries
Your finger is a brush of softest kind
Painting every stroke across my face
So restful my relaxing peace of mind
Brings me to this amazing state of grace
Your voice is an angel singing a song
A rare mountain warbler on a pine bough
Perfect pitch serenades me all along
Like notes from a Master’s violin bow
So rare in form does my nature adorn
The most beautiful woman ever born

Three essential items for survival
Ten years on an island of pure delight
Might sound strange at the time of arrival
But would at least give me a chance to fight
A hunting knife first on my list narrow
A handy weapon and for skinning game
Carving wood to make my bows and arrows
Making traps and snares and more of the same
A big butane lighter is such a must
They are good for about four thousand lights
Thirdly, a Coghlan’s six function compass
Look them up see how this item delights
Ten years, a long time without a razor
Maybe trade the compass for a laser...

Something casual in the way she walks
Across the street stridden in slim blue jeans
With her new fry boots on she really rocks
Not that I gaze and gawk by any means
How her long brown hair flutters in the breeze
Those pretty eyes that sparkle with her smile
Making me feel all wobbly in the knees
Hiding a sly grin which doesn’t beguile
What a poor pounding heart skippin’ a beat
Perhaps not too cool as I look around
And trying my hardest to keep my feet
Rising and floating too high off the ground
For girls knowin’ natural history
Attracting a man ain’t no mystery

Like the gentle clouds that float above head
Memories, times that seem to have stood still
A book with the end I not yet have read
Just holding me against my fragile will
The warmth of the comfort of knowing you
Holds me close when the chill tries to enter
No lies no suspicions for we know true
Yet summer goes away and comes winter
Can I stay warm with only memories
A cover made from the clouds up above
Or is it time to let go and fly free
To close this door and turn my back on love
A tattered rag can let the sunlight in
But want stow warmth upon me in the end

Memories captured in an old parlor portrait
Immortality found a beautiful face
Swirling brushstrokes from a Master’s palette
For everywhere you look is divine grace
Crowning statement of love and devotion
Carefully framed gilded ornate plaster
Beauty the subject of much commotion
With much respect still given the Master
Such as the fine details found in her eyes
The still subtle shades of light through her hair
Features as fresh as the day its paint dries
Anything made today even compare
Esoteric beauty still shines our souls
More meaningful than all the ancient scrolls

Softly the end of summer nights will sing
A calling on the wind that crickets bring
For all that still keeps my heart lamenting
Now soon even the songbirds will not sing
For deep into the valley does the stream flow
Into gurgling brook drifts the leaves that fall
When busy days of life begin to slow
Then such a sudden breeze will bring a squall
Stormy clouds drifting by with anxious rush
Past lazy sun that rises less and less
So when the ever growing night will hush
That first killing frost anyone will guess
For short is the season was summer best
Now as autumn winds blow north by northwest
