HIDDEN TREASURE

WE CAN SEARCH FOR TREASURE,
STORM THE GREAT WALLS OF THE KEEP,
OR HUNT ALONG THE HILLSIDE
WHERE GOLD IS BURIED DEEP.
WE CAN QUEST ENDLESSLY FOR
SOME GREAT HIDDEN TROVE
AND HUNT FOR SPARKLING GEMS
WHEREVER WE MAY ROVE.
OVER LAND OR SEA
OR WAY UP IN THE AIR,
WE CAN SEARCH FOR RICHES
EVERYWHERE.
YET WERE ALWAYS SURE
TO LEARN IN THE END,
THAT NO TREASURE COMPARES
TO THAT OF A FRIEND;
FOR A HEART THAT IS WARM,
AND CARING AND KIND
IS THE GREATEST TREASURE
THAT WE'LL EVER FIND.

A Gem (sonnet)

A gem's a stone that's rare, but cold inside; -
A true gem's in the heart the other hides.

When we find that rare one who understands,
Then we are privy to those exotic lands.

No one can define this thing called "love"
That strangest feeling, sent from up above.

A diamond's cold with all its many facets;-
More beauteous a woman in her assets.

No one knows the time we have on Earth -
Be kind to the other one - they also hurt.

Look beyond the ring;- find that precious sparkle -
Find true wealth; - before we meet death's darkness.

Then fear not "Father Time"; - he can't take it all away; -
For we are in each other's arms for an eternity.

WHEN GOD IS NUMBER ONE!

WHEN GOD IS NUMBER ONE EVERYTHING ELSE ADD UP!
There's a famous old story about a man who was sleeping at night in his cabin when suddenly his room filled with light, and God appeared. The Lord told the man He had a work for him to do, and showed him a large rock in front of the cabin. The Lord explained that the man was to push against the rock with all his might......... So the man did, day after day. For years he toiled from sunup to sundown, his shoulders set squarely against the cold, massive surface of the un-moving rock, pushing with all of his might. Each night the man returned to his cabin sore and worn-out, feeling that his whole day had been spent in vain. Since the man was showing discouragement, the adversary{Satan} decided to enter the picture by placing thoughts into his weary mind: 'You have been pushing against that rock for long time, and it hasn't moved.' He gave the man the impression that the task was impossible and that he was a failure. These thoughts discouraged and disheartened the man. Satan said, 'Why kill your self over this? just put in your time, giving just the minimum effort; that will be good enough. That's what the fatigued man planned to do, but he still decided to make it a matter of prayer and take his troubled thoughts to God. 'Lord,' he said, 'I've labored long and hard in your service, putting all my strength to do what you've asked. Yet after all this time, I have not even budged that rock by half a millimeter. What's wrong? Why am I failing?'The Lord responded compassionately, 'My friend, when I ask you to serve me and you accepted, I told you that your task was to push against the rock with all of your strength, which you have done. Never did I mention to you that I expected you to move the rock. Your task was to push. And now you come to Me with your strength spent, thinking that you have failed. But is that really so?............. Look at your self, Your arms are now strong and muscled, your back sinewy and brown; your hands are callused from constant pressure, your legs have become massive and hard. Through opposition you have grown much, and your abilities now surpass that which you used to have. True, you haven't moved the rock. But your calling was to be obedient and to push and exercise your faith and trust in my wisdom. That you have done. Now my friend, I will move the rock.
Usually our additions to what He says get us in trouble and cause delays.
When God gives you a word, don't make a paragraph out of it. 'Yes, use the faith that moves mountains, but remember, it's He who will actually do it.'God never made a promise that was too good to be true. God made us, and God is able to empower us to do whatever He calls us to do. With God's strength behind you, His love with you, and His arms beneath you, you are more than sufficient for the days ahead of you. It's my observation and experience that nothing humanistic works out that well. All great things have God at the center of them. The man who put God first will find God with him right up to the last.
In everything you do, put God first, and He will direct and crown your efforts with success, says the Bible.
'Unless it includes believing God, it is not worthy of being called God's direction; every divine direction that we receive from God will include our believing Him. Saying 'impossible' always puts you on the losing side. If you dream big, believe big, and pray big, big things will happen. Most of the things that were worth doing in history had been declared impossible before they were done. The Bible says, Yes, be bold and strong! Banish fear and doubt! For remember, the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Many people believe in God, but not many believe God. One of the most incredible states in which we can live our lives is in a continual position of trusting faith. Look to God, believe God. When you leave God out, you will find yourself without any invisible means of support.

Sonnet to truth

There's doubtless beauty in plain truth,
gold spun above the stars own roof,
serving thus, make false words uncouth
that web of conceit, lace woven guile aloof,
Truth bows not down to manipulated lies,
'tis but pen scribed, by timeless poetic laws,
embodies the stoic heart, straight limb applies,
antique written, unblemished without flaws,
oft by pomposity called naive simplicity,
yet dignifies love for mans own common good,
nurturing fond realms of strong brotherhood,
illustrates well,virtues simplistic integrity,

Truths own truth, sacred, incalculable,
free life's shackles by love unquestionable

About this poem:
In surveying the general political scene world wide, economy of truth appears to be ' stock on trade', ushered in by smooth rhetoric.

Timpul Lui Sageata (Time's Arrow)

Mortalitatea peste leagana puterea noastra sa-l si regretul meu preveni

I knew that night in my heart fate wasn't kind to me
Your ways wandering and wild had finally set you free
When I saw you lifeless with dawn the herald to the day
In my heart, my grief did show and my spirit did betray
Now that you left me all alone, where are you now my friend?
The years fly by fast and time's arrow flies to its end
Mortality over sways our power to prevent it and to my regret
It was not to restore the light in your eyes did I then fret
That you would no longer walk with joy among me anymore
Death summons one to a cold and far more distant shore
To which you went my dear cat and you wonder where am I now?
As I take up my pen anew, grief flees me and my love doth grow
Life triumphs over loss and my weak spirit is made strong
Cosmo - I have made you live again in a truly ageless song.

A Sonnet to the breath of Spring

Thy whispering breath breathes o'er the mountain's swell,
and caressing sweep along the green lush lowland's fell,
in full flush of day or in night's dark solitude,
oft with Warnerian power, or with Chopin's quiet étude,
wandering weave its hazy way, a dancing dream
kissing touch the rippling hillocks new sprung stream,
thus cavorts in gaiety the Zephyr's lyrical breeze,
gathers up the fragrant air, each evocative whisper tease
like as a violin that purls with quiet airs played fine
cosset the atmosphere like as embracing arms entwine
breathless travel, on Angelic soft spread silken wing,
bequeath forever, the perfumes of each scented Spring,

Thus in sightless guile weaves a wondrous spell,
Whence no poetic lines can scribe it's hues to tell.

Closed

Tiny hands that cling to coins with such hope
To reach out and find the machine is broke
Holding back the tears and trying to cope
No signs no warnings of closed for repairs

In a hurry not paying attention
Grasped the frying pan handle, to feel burn
Ignoring the feeling, apprehension
The hopes of what was to be slowly fades

Donning a coat to keep the cold away
Wrapped so tight you cannot feel the heart beat
Outer shell still looks good, inner frayed
No signs no warnings of closed for repairs

Tucked safely in bed alone in the night
Maybe lost the battle but not the fight

A Sonnet from Love lost days

Indeed soft thoughts I've laboured long,
sung sweeter far than the Poet's song,
fully fills the glass where hope belongs,
relieving woes and its attendant wrongs,
as once sombre sullen enduring throng,
served life's integrity, harsh and wrong,
unknown to Nightingale's love lyrics long,
drowned in murky waters, stagnant strong,
thus slain the darkness that surrounded me,
banishing all which past I could not see,
now swift flown, solitudes lifeless spree
to colour paint, a bright new world for we,

How now, a kaleidoscope to us appear,
an emotional tapestry, coloured woven dear.

Home Sweet House?

As darkness unfolded the old home sighed

Once more another day has come and gone

In the bright light of the sun the eaves lied

But once more the house stood empty alone

No one seemed to notice that no one cared

In the daylight the fresh coat of paint shined

In the dark the rooms laid empty and bare

A home without life how cruel and unkind

The deception of two made into one

Leaving neither completely as a whole

No one lost and no one has really won

A diamond is just an old chunk of coal

Daylight has been summoned a house no more

From blind eyes it is a home as before

I Am Here!

There will be a path that leads me to you

So please wait, I'm trying not to take long

You're holding my heart so please be gentle

I need your love to remain safe and strong

There are times when I feel so all alone

Thoughts of you is what keeps me hanging on

I'm fighting for a love that I don't know

Knowing our feelings are each others clone

If we don't meet know the fight made life sweet

Kept bitterness from knocking at our door

Thoughts of you shielded loneliness away

Hope giving meaning to our life once more

Every day I wake I know it might be

The day when you are finally with me
