War
Has the first sortie been fired in anger?
Why does man of men engage, fights so quick
Never considering the noise, the clangor
Acts of war ever changing, no rubric
Innocence changed, boys to men overnight
Mothers coddle children play underground
Smoke from fulmination shields bright sunlight
War eliminates all sane, births confound
Battles fought above, below, all about
Generals bunker hid, risk soldier life/limb
His view provided by radio shout
Orders followed, moving forward w/ hymn
Question? Which side can fly victorious?
Even in celebration, all with us??

For the love of high places
Like it says in the book
From the very first dawn
We have climbed up to look
Where the bushes once burned
And the bold eagle flies
Where the prophets once spoke
And the earth meets the sky
From the summits we earn
We can see far and wide
And then, if we dare
We can see deep inside
In the grand Himalaya
Brave men battle for breath
While the frozen winds blow
Through those castles of death
We will always look up
When we sing our best graces
And we all live our best
For the love of high places

About this poem:
If you don't think that there is something magical, even spiritual, about mountains, then you need to go visit one!

Like unto him, the preacher said
I heard a whisper, turned my head
And listened to a distant song
A piper at the gates of dawn
So savage is the rising sun
That stills the lonely piper's song
And forces wide the tortured eyes
The witnesses where all things die
And onward Christian soldiers surge
So many heathen souls to purge
Who churn to dust their neighbor's sod
And claim it in the name of God
While through the night the fires burn
The tables that will never turn
The innocents, now driven out
Will harvest all those seeds of doubt
The holy warrior kneels in prayer
With crimson stains in matted hair
He begs the night to take his fears
And bury them in brighter years

About this poem:
It started out as a thought on the destruction and death in the former Yugoslav republics and then just sort of wandered! By the way, if you caught the Pink Floyd reference, then you are REALLY OLD!!! ;) Yeah, I know, me too.

Glistening waters
Moonlit night
Birds taking flight
Being caressed by the gentle breeze
Peacefulness descends on the mind at ease
Dreaming and desiring what you please
Arms to hold you through the night
a lover's touch ever so slight
bringing a smile of pure delight.

Divinity is of God
Spirituality is that of human
Animistic the abode of animal
And materiality?
A physical realm
Creation a radiation
out of divine it emerge
giving form to behold
in order of density
all for a meaning
learnin our purpose
experience is attainable
a requirement for existence
as below so above
the dictum of a mage
we are here to know
that to spirit we belong
and to spirit we go back
since divinity our source
and thus our only anchor

About this poem:
God can not be seen because God nature is different from human. God did not make humanman in his/her image, but it is human who decided to make God in human image in order to give meaning to life.

The common law is male,
Equity is female;
Each needs the other,
For justice to be in order.
The common law is lame,
Without equity’s fame;
Equity’s a piece of nonsense,
Without common law’s presence.
When the conflicts arise,
Equity should stand tall,
But upon the common law,
For both make justice rise.
The common law and equity,
What a wonderful blend!

About this poem:
I wrote this poem in 2000 after I finished a course, 'Nigeria Legal System' in my second year at Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma where I read Civil Law. I found the blend of both edges of the law fascinating. This will be better understood by people who understand the legal system of the Commonwealth of Nations as well as Christians who understand what Apostle Paul meant by the Law and Grace in his epistles.

Sometimes I think, I am wasting my time by thinking about him
It is not a big deal for me to chat with him
And walk with him
I never spent money for him and he for me
I always asking questions but he never replied
I am so patient to hear him well but not to care him well
He is a friend of mine,
Walks in front of me and sometimes behind
Like everyone he likes light not the dark
I think he has a lightered heart not a dark
Like someone belongs everywhere with dark heart
Those who makes dark everywhere

Living alone is not easy as I think
It was my dream to do so
But days going faster and faster
Its becomes hard to me as well as you
I couldn’t get any help from others and
They says I am a selfish and cruel
But really it’s not right
Bcaz, I know who I am.
But things are different
I need some one to take my hand
And to say "I am with you"
My dreams are in the half way
Waiting for a hand to take care
Others are strangers to me
And they are not ready to know me very well
More of them are very busy in their life
To collect something special
Those never help them in their loneliness
And I am here alone
It’s not good as I was before
And it’s not easy to live alone in this world.

we are very busy in life
we have only one life here
so we need to fulfill our dreams
as soon as posible
and we think ,no chance to get
enough time for it.
need more time to reach the top
so we are avoiding so many things
happenig around us.
it means no time to waste..
we made walls between our homes
and even in our soul
its not nice to hear others problems
those we can easly solve for them.
we need more care and love from others
but fails to give these to others
we forget that , we are human beings
who can only give and get what they wants...

Empty promises, as she left
She went away, from everything I gave
Should've seen her face
As we said goodbye
Holding back my tears
I couldn't let her see me cry
As she went away, should've seen her face
Never seen her cry like that before
As she walked out the door
And I could've cried, 'cause the tears in her eyes
I was all she had
And I lied
When I promised her love
I promised her pain
I promised her the world
And everything, I couldn't give
Now she's gone, and I'm alone
She left me standing here, with these tears
Falling from my eyes
And I feel so lost inside
How could I have been so blind, to let her go
But I should've known
That she would turn away
It killed me
To see the tears falling down her face
When I promised her love
I promised her pain
I promised her the world
And everything, I couldn't give
