5am.. I take my board
and smell the sky
the tide swims round
the breeze a spell
and says goodbye

the initial hit
of cold and salt
gives way to sound

The thunder rolls above my head, some God is angry, something I said?
If lighting strikes then I am done, nowhere to hide, nowhere to run,
Did I take some name in vain? Release thy wrath? instill the pain?
God above will show his love when all obeys, what God says!
But I just don’t know what I should do, so many God’s, which one is true?
I think I will take a different view and be myself not follow you!
In this world of diversity who knows what’s right who knows what’s true,
I won’t take sides or follow blindly, I’ll be me, and I'll never deny your right to see, what’s true to you, is the way to be.

A cry of any living thing
Is so hard to bear.
To save a life, that's all it takes,
You feel a glow that was not there.
A baby needing a warm touch,
A dog fighting to stay alive.
An animal running from being hunted,
An accident in sight.
Some brave soul gives a helping hand
So one may see the light.
Do not hurt the innocent babe,
Or beat an animal till it dies.
There are people who want to help
