For all those that enjoy Christmas I am pleased for them and I hope they have a great time.
As for me, like many, being alone, it does lose its impact and I personally do not celebrate it.
If I had a partner in life then I would see it as another day to spoil her.

I like to spend Christmas with my family and put my feet up.
I do start thinking about (in general) what happens should my mum not be around anymore - I have a good relationship to my siblings and their kids, but going home probably wouldn't be the same and I wouldn't do it as often.
I'm making sure I can live with it someday. I don't know about Christmas, but spending it in Ireland with friends going out on the 24th (that's when we celebrate) would be ok. I would find it hard to sit home on my own.

I love Christmas!
Although not religious, I love all the goodwill, and good-natured ambience around this time.
I love the Christmas lights, cribs, Christmas trees, the whole shebang!
I know it can be a lonely time of year for many, but I choose to make the best of it personally.
