I'm glad the weather is fine.
Thinking back over 30 years when this took place is a chore for me, but if i remember correctly part of the thinking at the time was mental illness was not a crime and people should not be locked up for that reason alone . This buy the way was happening at the time.

Seriously though...mental health is an important topic for war veterans as well as civilians...human rights concerns regarding decisions made by medical staff and access to treatment are issues...thankfully we are aware that experimenting on minorities...or other disenfranchised individuals are wrong...we can learn from history...

This is a criminal issue and the answer is fencing in people who are a danger, it's not about improving other peoples mental health it's purely selfish and self-preserving in motive. It's not about well-being and healthcare and prevention, it's about repressing the symptoms of the problem from a security point of view long enough for you to stay alive.

30 years of growing social problems around diet and mental health can no longer be ignored and that's what people seem to accept. Now do you spend a lot of money on resolving these issues - cutting back on christmas presents to pay more tax - or do you wash your hands of it and just say "no man, no problem" like Duterte or Stalin.
throughout history the mentally ill were treated barbarically, the forgotten people. humanity in areas is very cruel to their fellow human. the modern day mental illness now 2018 is viewed like a type of leprosy, like island no wants to visit.
Miwagi: It's pretty hard to find people who want to work at these types of places. Between prisons, mental health facilities, rest/nursing homes, we will have an awful lot of people locked. And because no one wants to do these jobs the people who get hired aren't always of the highest quality. I personally think making marijuana legal will just add to the problems. The drug problems in this country are already exploding. Also it is nearly impossible for a government worker to get fired in this country and many get lazy and hateful acting when you have to deal with them. So having these people run things doesn't always have great results. And unless the articles I read recently are lying it sounds like your NHS is starting to leak some oil. What are your thoughts on fixing that? More taxes?
