I love to study things that predate the great flood; and going by the many places that are isolated from each other, and the many different ways games are played on them: I believe 64 square board games qualify...
In ancient Greece and Rome, they played quinto, where the object is to isolate 5 pieces.
In Hawaii, we have konane, where you begin with the board full, and the first person unable to move, loses...
We also have chess, checkers, boards made in the ground and left on uninhabited islands without instructions, and checker board patterned artwork...
I bought a chess and checkers board, and enough for 32 pieces each, of black and white glass.

That's my favorite board game.
A few other things I believe predate the flood, are mead; because it's almost exactly the same word all over the globe.
Lungis, or sarongs; because there's so many words for 4'×6' woven garments, in so many places...
And unsewn garments; because they're so highly valued in most religions on earth.
marlindap: I never have used it. it has sat in the box since i bought it years ago
I was born into 3 generations of fortune tellers; and when I asked the Tarot cards, What spirit controls them...?
It scared me.
I only touched them once after that, for my Dad, who was trying to teach me more about them: and got the same cards for my Dad, that I got for myself...
if i truly want an answer to something i ask it before i go to sleep, then i usually see the answer in my dreams. I never ask about others though only things that pertain to me, i believe it is a violation of anothers energy to touch it without permission.
Well, this isn't a board game, but "Cards Against Humanity" oh my gosh that is THE funniest game, but if you are prudish in any way....don't play it, get "Apples to Apples" fun games! Christmas time, put those on your list people!!
as a child i likedchinese checkers, but i haven't played it since then. i enjoyed playing the game, and was drawn to the visuals of the game as well (colors of the marbles, the patterns and shapes of the game).
i like to play Go, and i also like Mancala. i'm not that good at Go, but i do love the game both psychologically and visually. i used to make Mancala boards out of driftwood, and use stones i collected from the beach. functional art for me.
