LeeCharming: What breed is your cat/cats? Are they male or female
One is what I call "garden special cat" (picked up from someone's garden), female 6 months old, and the other is a offspring of a stray cat we rescued many moons ago, male 15 year old...
Just a note--I voted "cat", but do not currently have one. A great pet that needs less attention than cats and dogs is a smaller forest tortoise. I have one--he is a cherry-head redfoot tortoise, and will not get bigger than a standard sized box turtle--(about 5" to 7" or so). They are interactive, appear to "like" their owners (will put out head and legs and brush them against your finger/hand if you stop petting, etc...) Mine seems to know me, as it were, he readily comes out of his "cave" when I start talking to him. Generally low-maintenance.
I co-own a Husky/Lab and he's such a sweet dog all except they are known to be escape artist and don't make good guard dogs. But they do love people and kids.Plus they are very intelligent too.
