fantaziya: Back then my English was horrible. But everyone was very patient. And I am very grateful to all old crowd for that. Starbright from Canada totally hilarious I miss her. A gorgeous woman from Amsterdam (I only know her real name.) We actually had get together in Amsterdam A guy from Norway, another one from England ( big guy) that woman I was talking about. And on a way to Amsterdam, in London I've met Scouser. Absolutely kind soul. The only problem was I could not understand his pronunciation at all typical Scouser. Kidatheart Canadian man, miss him too. And by the way that advice you gave me, back then. About to make a sleeve out of foil for grilling in the oven. I use it since then, works great. And, how I could forget Beachfarmer from California. We had quite a few rguments back then but it never came to the point of what we have here NOW. Sad it is, very sad.
Mickey Scouser was a trip. I saw Kidatheart post here a few months ago. Beachfarmer (tunnelwary) was such a funny guy. Did I give you advice about grilling in the oven?
So many great people but my old brain can't remember
germanspitz: Wow Mickeyscouse and the lovely Mindful . She took some stick on here from a woman in Ireland if I remember rightly .Real name Amanda who moved to New York to marry a guy she met on here.
fantazya thanks for reminding me also of Kidatheart ,he was such a lovely guy.
Amanda and Dave are still married, run into them on FB now and then!
bodleing2: Yes, Jeepers and his much loved dog Tucker. He was an amazing man, even though he knew he was dying he posted almost every day and somehow managed to cheer people up with his positivity and charm. A truly exceptional and inspirational person.

I met Vinney when he visited trish, a lovely man. Missing Snickers, his posts were always food for thought. Another couple of intellectuals who would often interact with Snickers creating some great conversations were Stressfree and Ambrose. Still in touch with Stress on fb.
"Is it a single group of people responsible for the loss of fun contributors & thumbs down in the cs forums?..."
"Single group" as in a group of profiles made and run by the same man? Well... possible. While that activity might be fun for that "group", for a single-profile people it might seem meaningless.
A profile, run by a few different people, could restore the balance, I think. Just imagine: a profile with a dozen different personalities has a never-ending dialogue with a dozen profiles with one personality.

Hi Bod
Vinny will always have a special place in my heart. When I joined CS in 2006 people hated me because they thought I was a troll. Vinny defended me based on my posts and my name at the time which was Snuggles. I didn't know Snickers well but like Ambrose all three men were intellectuals who knew how to join in a conversation of a subject that mattered or get in a back and forth session of nagging each other.
One of my favorite threads that Vinny wrote was called Ask Auntie Vinny. Members would ask Auntie a question and Auntie would answer with the funniest answers. Another thread a female wrote was asking the males to wear a thong and post it. If I remember correctly Ambrose did post a pic of him wearing a thong and it was the laugh of the day.
I joined CS in 2006 and had a great time posting and writing threads. It all changed when Facebook arrived because so many members left. I'm not on Facebook so I stayed here but over the years the environment wasn't as friendly as it used to be so I made myself scarce. Bodleing climbs rock walls and Conrad writes funny jokes so I look for them when I need a pick me up. .

Hi Secret,
That took me right back reading about Auntie Vinny.

Haha, very different days back then.. Lot's of meets, Dublin, Barcelona, and some in the US. People actually met and hooked up, some even married, at times it was like real life soap opera you couldnt take your eyes off, especially some of the cheating that was going on in the shadows, but not always totally hidden from a very active cs private mail circus. Talking about Aunti Vinney, do you remember Aunti Clayeeer from Cornwall? She was a scream, always wanted to meet her, but it never happened.

Stressfree and Ambrose lifted the site's overall I.Q. by a gazillion points
I put you and Elena (Mindfful) in that catagory too. Quite a few others
I usually didn't participate in their threads. I was more of a Dez the bartender thread member
