Look like we are going to a major solar electric project in CA. $6b worth of solar in the Mohave deserter. A good location, I do admit for solar. It can fry a egg on a tin plate there.
Enough juice for 2m homes. Southern CA power grid will be buying some of the most expensive juice on the planet. But hey if you are Al Gore and can live on the CA surfer coast, you need to have clean CO juice....to make the rest of the country look like dirty environmental killing radicals that just want a Kw for a cheap price.

Secondly, the US is letting Iran into talks ad geo political issues around the world. Afghanistan is one. The Iranian nuclear issue is another. Iraq is another. The present Administration is basically opening the doors for Iranian middle eastern influence. Instead of isolating Iran. It is enabling Iran.
So Israel is setting back from the Iran nuclear issue some. To wait
and see. The US gov't has basically in effect under cut Israel in the middle east. Here is our longest and oldest partner in the region, and we open diplomatic doors for its sworn enemy.
While we are arming....in a delivery to come....with the stealth aircraft to do a Beshehr strike. So Israel waits.
The hard cold fact here is....from this reactor Iran can get HE nuclear materials for making nuclear bombs. The other hard cold fact is. Israel will see that as a threat to its national security. All the talks and open diplomatic doors will not changes those hard cold facts.

Well if American business begin to lose foreign subsidiaries....because of Obama's and DEMs "sending jobs overseas" position....they are going to have more than the Chamber of Commerce unhappy with them.
Likely this is WTO case or some other international legal forem...Dow Corning has very deep pockets and can hire the best. But they will be in the US Commerce Dept and US State Dept...to make their case ASAP.

HARvard runs a special and very expensive senior management education program. For 30 days, the Federal government with send its ranking SES and GS to HARvard....at from $500 to $1000 per day. To get the education needed to make beuartic decisions.
The program is HARvard Senior Executive Fellowship Program....and noone has stopped to consider if there just might be a cheaper College or University that can provide the training than HARvard. When you have the last two Presidents as alumni, that just might be a reason.
A month of training there averages over $18,000 per Federal Employee. The FED government has allot of employee that qualify for HARvard. Last year 470 took the month long training program. About $10m to HARVard.

My question is .....why is a German firm the primary contractor? The Blythe Project as it is knows, is being done by Solar Millennium, a German solar developer. So why in economic hard times, is the Administration awarding major contracts to foreign companies?
It is not like the US...inventor of the solar cell....doesnot have
solar energy development firms. Why are we going outside of the country to employee a German firm? Does not buy American matter to the administration? Or better worded....contract American?

What the administration is forgetting.....is the economic ripple effect of major contracts. With $6b going to Germany via its prime contractor, were do you think that much of the ripple effect is going to be on this?
