In Los Angeles there are so many places to see. Again, what is your interest!!
If you visit Hollywood do it during the day because it may (no kidding here) get dangerous at night.
Downtown Los Angeles is very boring. But on the outskirts there is Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, Baseball: Los Angeles Dodgers or Los Angeles Angels, Universal Studios, the Getty Museums in Pasadena or Santa Monica, the Los Angeles County museums in LA but DAY VISITS ONLY, AND MORE. There's th Dorothy Chandler Pavilion with high brow stuff and great shows! What interests you or just Google it.
San Francisco is a very liberal city with lots of tourist sites right in the city. The wharf is a must with great restaurants and cool night clubs in the different districts! There's theatre also!
The state is 800 miles long and about 250 miles wide. Please be more specific and what your likes are.
In Southern California there is much to do. In Central California very drab unless you hit the coast. Northern California, again, along the coast and the only thing to really see is San Francisco and the vineyards of Napa, Sonoma and Mendocino Counties.
The coast from Jenner, CA and up is really nice.
Tell me where you are headed for and what you like!
I have just finished reading an update on the killing of this gorilla. Here are the facts!
A gorilla handler of many years made this observation.
The GORILLAS were lured with treats to another section and the ONLY one that didn't respond was Harambe.
The gorilla, if shot by a tranquilizer gun, would still be active for about 10 minutes. If the tranquilizer worked the gorilla may have fallen on top of the boy and that would have drowned him.
The gorilla expert clearly states that the gorilla was confused and was SLINGING the young boy around. Again, it also looked like it was not going to give up the child.
In so many words the conclusion was that the zoo acted quickly (it had to) and properly!
Jane Goodall made this observation. That perhaps the gorilla may have done what the gorilla in Chicago did. Protect the child.
The Chicago gorilla was a FEMALE!!! Harambe was a MALE! Making it unlikely the saving scenario would not happen!!
It didn't look like it to me. And the zoo and the expert agree!
This guy is STILL waiting after 10 years and your asking us what you should do???
Did you like him more then just a friend with a chance you would like to spend time with him ... maybe?
You had forecasted dreams about him, one of two??
What are you waiting for. Ask him over, cook him a meal and make up for lost time. If he asks you questions about the marriage then kindly refuse until you know he is for sure then, and even then, answer carefully with NO white lies!
Yeah, I think we were real right. Did you see the video. That gorilla was frightening. It looked like the boy was completely bewildered. He just didn't know what to do, again, prompting action and now!
Yuniksha!!
Yeah, people have strange ideas. It's as if we have to protect the animals from invasion. I know this! Dogs are very territorial. So I am sure that's the way animals are in the wild. First one to the food source gets the prize!!!
I had to look at the video before I answered because I was totally unsure of how I felt about it. Part of me said it was justified to kill the gorilla but then maybe not.
In the video the gorilla dragged the boy around viciously. As if it was daring the people above to try and come and get it. It appeared that the gorilla now "owned" that child.
I think that the zoo people also saw that and then decided to shoot the gorilla because hindsight doesn't work in situations like that!
Frank was a great singer but he didn't know the words to the National Anthem.
When I worked for the Los Angeles Dodgers we had him sing it before a game one time and he requested the sheet music. The guy that was responsible for it never got it and poor Ol' Blue Eyes just stood there in Center Field while the music began. Hee Hee!!
You take things too serious. Relax, enjoy what you earn and let others talk.
I would just look at them and change the subject. If they continue then say something like, "I don't make suggestions about your money so just drop the subject".
If they are fellow employees then just go to your boss and let him know. In America there a office complaint location called Human Resources where you can get this problem quelled.
If it's your family then stay away from them. That always works for me. I have been accused by them of stealing from them. I have fixed the problem. I don't visit them anymore. That's right!! I cannot figure them out and they will never change so I stay away!!
When I was a young Dude I thought California was the place to be. Now I find California too snooty and trendy. The price of things are high. The rat race is hectic. Keeping up with the Jones is too time and financially consuming! The weather was great coming from Colorado but then as I grew older I started realizing that the days could be a little too cool in the Winter and Spring with torrents of rain. The summer hot and smoggy!
I moved to Arizona a few months ago. The desert climate has turned out to be the best!! It is just right in Bullhead City and I am loving it. It's typically warm and the rainfall comes down at a nice pace with the weather still kinda warm.
I think that I would like it better in a tropical setting, like the Phillipines or Sri Lanka or somewhere like that but my kids and grandkids keep me close to them. And that's ok!!
You are absolutely correct. He is an improvement over all the Roman Catholic demagogues posing as popes.
However, the church still has a long way to go and I don't see him making their bank better, which really puzzles me, because if he really believes in WWJD then he would get rid of the vatican, the lawyers, the bank and a whole lot of other things that Jesus never said was ok!!
