According to some of the websites of those that study that sort of phenomena there appears to be a lot of the "secret hiding stuff" within our government as well.

Yes, I think your right. In most cases it does seem that way. A spontaneous gesture gets taken care of but a "time to think about it request" does sometimes meet resistance. Especially if it's a money request or of some type of value.

That said, I completely agree with you. Mom and Dad's leave you, kids grow up, they have new children for you to get excited over but yet sad that getting older takes away good moments once shared. Your story was indeed touching.

You know Market. It sounds normal. Guy meets gal. He wants alot she doesn't. She wants to be friends and guy buys expensive gifts to sway her. Guy gets confused BECAUSE he wanted more and gal didn't.
I wouldn't worry about how you appear to yourself so no need to beat yourself up over it. Things like this happen all the time. And I would be just as nice to her and everyone because some lady is going to notice that and she's gonna nab you, grab you, and who knows what else!
