It's so funny how many people read the cartoon, get a chuckle and don't understand the real story part of the cartoon. I also cite Garry Trudeau, the late great Walt kelly and POGO just to name a couple more intelligent men!
This site is like real life, if I may borrow Calli's "blog" a little, but people just pick & choose and "dream". All of a sudden out of nowhere they choose you. Unless you have that "look" women will just pass you by the majority of the time.
Paris Hilton! And she would have to bring her chihuahua along!
@Non!! Miss piggy is a hoot! As well as all the other characters. But getting back to Miss P, the creator and the person who dresses her up, as in this shot, have got a great sense of humor!
I used to look at life from that perspective. Then I found God and He told me to rely on Him and that there is no such thing as luck.
Keeping things to yourself is better than exposing them. Too many people like to give you advice and guess what? They are in the same position and looking for their "streak of luck". I keep everything to myself and share with my children....sometimes.
You have the right attitude about God wanting you in church if your a sinner. The parable of the one lost sheep tells it all. My prayers are with you.
I had great parents but rough siblings that pretty much used to whack me around. They're the ones that "scrutinized and critiqued" my life. My mistakes were always a topic of too much interest and their mistakes I never paid attention to. I just stayed away from them and I was criticized for that too. BUT! I was happy to stay away from their yakking at me.
Keep up the faith and you will find the right guy! God has plans.
The best thing about Asian philosophy and outlook on life is that you never give up.
I wrote a comment the other day on the things I always observed about Asian neighborhoods here in Southern California. They're always clean and well manicured. And that's where it all begins! At home!!!
That last one was a hoot. It's my exact sentiments during ANY holiday. The waste of money is incredible, but that's what makes the homeowner happy. I will just keep quiet and let the homeowner feel good.
Mom used to cry when she heard music she liked, when she was happy or there was something joyful. I was a little kid and I thought I knew everything when I would tell her she wasn't supposed to cry when she was happy. Mom replied, "You'll see one day"!
"One day" finally arrived and I knew then what Mom meant. I, too, cry when I'm happy!
