Well sweetie i can feel your pain ........ I am an old gal myself , and id have always imagined that there would be no shame in being the age you are . But for some there obviously is. I went once to meet a guy in France, i thought he shared the same interests as I , he liked sailing he was age appropriate to me 59 and he loved food wine , animals travel etc. So i went to meet him at my own expense, of course. He was 72 , quite a nice man , but it was his illusion and the reality for me was that he was not who he said he was , simply because he led about his age.. I quite like whim and his little dog, but then I released if he lied about his age what else is a lie ? So i left , went away , he was devastated , did not understand .. but i understand myself , i know i need honesty , and respect , i need to respect the man i am with , without respect there in no trust, without trust there can never be love . he respected me , truted me and loved me , because i was honest ... but that was not the same for me , now is that not a tragedy? So after i asked him, why did you not tell me your real age , he said if i tole you i am 70 would you come to meet me ? I answered , it is for this lack of confidence you have in yourself that you have lost what you think you want. This is an example from a womans perspective , an older woman such as myself , who is/was looking for real relationship. if a person is fake he/she will get fake , if one is real one may get real, therein lies the problem... saskia guess of love

Ok heres my method..... get a sing song dvd going and do dancing and singing. then play football in the hallway , or lounge they love footy , and don't get angry if they break the rules. Then make them some play dough and let them go for it on the kitchen table with shape cutters... then do stick ons so u get some glue and cut out colour paper shapes and he glues it on white paper , thats a really cool thing to do. Then they love vacuum cleaning with dust busters so give them that and make them clean up. the broom works well also. Then when they get tired and cranky you put them in the bath make it frothy and they can play for ages .Throw in anything you like toys and plastic buckets even they like those... does not have to be a rubber duck . But u got to watch them that they don't drown ok .not too deep no more than six inches deep.......very important .. When bath is finished they will be tired , put on a dvd of cartoons and they will fall asleep in front of tv ... easy ... My grand kiddies love cooking so i make pastry or pizza dough and they do all the rolling out , and rolling and rolling ... kids are fun , but they need entertaining . No use trying to keep them clean .... saskia

I am not going on a real holiday this time , I will stay in Cairo with my daughter , and grandchildren they go each year there for EID , which will be on friday....Her husband is Egyptian , so thats the connection . Itsa great country to visit and quite mind boggling ... The Nile is an amazing river , Especially if you travel by felucca , Aswan , gorgeous...saskia
Gordi , Dr Zahi Hawass is quite a controversial figure in Egypt .. He was close to Mubarak , so he's not in good favour with everyone there. But without him things in the field of antiquities would have been much different . He has and is always doing his best to allow Egypt's exposure of more treasures to be available to the public. Are you talking of the excavation of Luxor? Thats an amazing and incredible feat ... They relocated/ rehoused a large part of the population not far from the temple , and exposed not far under the streets the original ancient roads with statues.. I saw that last time i was there .. If you like the god fearing woman , you might have to go and look in the church .... Trouble with men who drink is they appear to be happy and fun loving ... for a while . Then the rot sets in , best to stay away from men who like their drink too much , you can tell on a first date , don't get involved with them , it is never worth it . They end up being embarrassing, thy can't make love properly, they live their lives all around alcohol .... TROUBLE TROUBLE TROUBLE for them , and for you ..... just as i have seen and experienced it ..... saskia

I think everyone has some crazy idea thats a good idea to them at the time , who cares , its their life what ever gets their rocks off. If they need that crutch to get them through life then why not alls good . I have seen totally religious people be affected by a life changing experience and ditch faith altogether ..and seen really unreligious people convert to religion as well , it might happen to us one day , who knows , all depends on whats happening in our lives.. I don't think we have the right to judge others on that one , even though it can be annoying ..... some treat us as if we are the bad ones for not believing , and thats the scary thing... sas

I have always tried to be content with my lot, The thing that some people , including me sometimes don't realise is that all stages in life are fleeting. ...One day all you have can disappear very quickly. All your dreams , hopes and existence as you know it can be gone due to circumstance, appreciation of what you have right now is the important thing to do in life. The next stage might not be so great ...I think thats what I have learnt to do.. I became a grandmother 5 years ago as well so my life changed again as I focus on my little expanding family .. that was my saviour and a blessing to me , to have those little children come into my life , that new love of a different kind , but most wonderful also. The important thing is to recognise and appreciate each stage of ones life here. It is not long , make your heaven while you can ... I always try ... saskia
