Molly, I agree, it was the move of a desperate woman to cling to power having given away her majority. The border issue is imo a ploy by the EU, as far as trade goes it's unlikely there would be a need for one, the technology already exists for the most part & at least one company had said it can provide it, but regardless by now a trade deal should have been done but the EU won't even discuss one till the UK has left, meaning it can come up with ploys like the backstop to delay/stop the UK leaving They've wasted 2.5 years and moved precisely nowhere, typical EU tactics, lets no forget that each day this drags on costs the UK £22 plus million, what motive would the EU have for ever reaching a deal
fiorenza, I've got to disagree on May, yes she's stuck to her guns to a certain extent, but her ideas are not what the people voted for, if you look at her Mansion House speech & compare it to her deal there are zero similarities, she's a remainer & is quite prepared to call things by different names to give the illusion the UK is leaving but in reality still under EU rule, wait till you see the deal she'll settle for if she's allowed to stay in power my bet is it'll be all the downsides, no voting rights etc, with none of the upsides, deals with the rest of the world, tax freedom etc. You just have to look at her track record as Home Secretary, lots of great speeches about what she'll do but immigration went up year on year, police/prison budgets cut to the bone etc etc, so now the UK is reaping the rewards of her term with rising crime, prisoners being let out early due to lack of space, health & other services collapsing under the strain of too many people
fiorenza, So you reckon Trump has German Schnapps in his drinks cabinet I thought I read that he's a non drinker I think more likely he eats the (im) peaches & chucks the stones out of the oval office window at passing Mercedes & Bmw's
As far as any real change goes on the Brexit front, I personally reckon that depends on who replaces May when she finally goes, I'd like to see Brexit making a change in direction for the EU and for the whole of Europe to become a better place for it.
Biff, what are your thoughts on Macron, will he survive or will he be dumped by his party & his wife to spend the rest of his life in obscurity with his ex bodyguard boyfriend You must be in the loop to predict 2 marriages on CS you must be high up on Crest's pecking order I hope you're wrong about the 7 natural disasters, been too many of those the last few years Had to Google Hadada, to me it's plain old partridge that hangs round pear trees

LJ, nukes were always going to spread, having just a few countries with them was never going to last, just a question now of who'll be first to use them
String, from what I've seen of the younger generation I think the world is in trouble, our only hope is that as they get older they'll see the reality of what you're saying & resist it as we will
Chat, I wouldn't check on baby oil, it'll just raise your blood pressure, we were outraged in Europe some years ago when it was discovered baby oil isn't made from babies
Seems to me that before anyone gets into the draft dodging argument the first question to be asked is " why are news outlets printing someone's private medical history" Isn't that illegal
Molly, we all had to be awake, it's Boxing day, when the masters reverse roles with there servants for one day a year must dash my butler needs a cup of coffee
I read last week a very interesting article blaming concrete for the rise in co2 & global warming, apparently it's production gives off huge amounts of the stuff so who's to blame not the Brits, House of Commons built of stone, not the Americans, White House made of stone, as is the Kremlin, no you have to look at who's shouting loudest to see the culprits EU & UN buildings all made of concrete
Baba Vanga 2019 predictions.
