You wouldn't do it to a dog!

Deedee, I don't think it's true people haven't recovered, a quick search found this case -

But in any case we're not talking about people who would die in 20 minutes without a ventilator, rather people who are likely to live up to 3 weeks being starved, not how I'd want to go.

You wouldn't do it to a dog!

Biff, no I haven't, but that's not what I'm saying, imo the ruling from the high court would have been better removing the legal obstacles to a swift & dignified end, ok some checks would need to be put in place to stop greedy relatives wanting a quick inheritance, but the high court can & do hear applications for various things same day & takes a few minutes, then they make a ruling there & then.

You wouldn't do it to a dog!

UnFayzed, I agree on that, seems a far more dignified end to me.

You wouldn't do it to a dog!

Bear, I happened to read an article the other day on dementia, it seems there are around 20 different forms of it one of which is Alzheimers.

It would seem to me barbaric to starve someone with Dementia, they may not be who they used to be but I'll bet they'd know about being starved to death over 3 weeks, so I think you were right to speak up for her.

You wouldn't do it to a dog!

Deedee, as far as I know the medical profession only have the mildest grasp of how the human brain operates, it would seem to me that a guaranteed painless & quick end would be far preferable to being starved to death over 2 or 3 weeks.

You wouldn't do it to a dog!

Deedee, if there's no alternative & no chance of any form of real life, or even when suffering becomes unbearable imo it should be allowed to end a persons life more reasonably than starving them to death.

Jim, hate to dissolution you but it's nothing to do with my network provider, just means have stricter rules on Firefox re tracking that you, I also don't feel any ill effects from not spending my days watching youtube vids, I prefer to get my news from a news source, that way it stands less chance of being tainted by the fake news brigade professor

RE: The Americans - From A Canadian's viewpoint

RE: The US Senate finally concludes that Russia interferred with the election in favor of Trump.

quarterhorse, I can only talk about Spain on that question, and yes there is legislation in force here at the moment making it illegal to criticise the government or state authorities in public or on the internet, punishable by huge fines & possible imprisonment, in the first year of this law I believe 1600 people were prosecuted very mad

RE: The US Senate finally concludes that Russia interferred with the election in favor of Trump.

I'm afraid it became too late last night to reply to your earlier comments, but sorry I can't watch your vids, as youtube seem to have put trackers on them Firefox now shows them as blank boxes, but I must say I'm in great admiration of your bravery thumbs up posting a comment calling the majority of your countrymen "uneducated dolts" next to your photo uh oh boxing laugh You weren't planning on going out in public in the near future were you doh

RE: The US Senate finally concludes that Russia interferred with the election in favor of Trump.

In the UK we get same basic argument from those that voted to remain in the EU, they say the people didn't understand what they were voting for, I personally think both they & you do your respective countries a gross injustice suggesting people were too stupid to know what they voted for, imo in both cases the voters were sick of the current regime & wanted a change, in both cases there were only two options on the ballot paper, they had to pick one, they had, again imo, the intelligence to make an informed choice after weighing up the options.

RE: The US Senate finally concludes that Russia interferred with the election in favor of Trump.

I really can't see why your senate would waste time & tax dollars to come to that conclusion dunno before the election Putin was quoted as saying that if Clinton won WW111 was highly lightly, this being his view why wouldn't he try & influence the election professor I mean it's not as though this is type of activity is new, by your own released CIA documents the USA have been doing it since at least since the WW11, if the concern is that he could hack into the voting machines wouldn't the money spent on this investigation have been better used to come up with a system that can't be hacked, here in Europe we solved that problem in around the year 1700 ad, by putting a pencil in the poling booth so people could put an X on a piece of paper next to there chosen candidate, hack that Putin laugh

Do the senate really believe the American people can be that easily swayed by the Russians posting stuff on social media doh look at what was said about Trump in the lead up to the election, were people swayed dunno it would seem not.
