tallbaldone, yay well done you've managed to turn my perfectly reasonable comment about how the law works into an excuse for a foul mouthed tirade.
Jim, following on from my comment we now have another example, I'm fairly confident Trump could sue tallbaldone for that comment, will he.........I doubt it
Have you any idea how many times the word could is used in your op My favorite newspaper is also very fond of that word, what they say could happen rarely does so I no longer take any notice of an an article that includes it.
Far as I recall the US legal system is quite similar to that of the UK, ie innocent till proven guilty, therefore as an example I could sue you for writing blogs that contain the word could too often does that make you guilty of anything hmmmm I doubt it.
I've been following news reports on Trump for a good few years now, seen endless reports of what he's supposedly done & what could happen to him, don't recall one saying "Trump found guilty & sentenced to prison" , do let us know when & if that happens
Too far the other way, the rules are clear, you can disagree with what someone is saying, you just have to keep your thoughts on that person to yourself
LJ war this is a row about some milk , bit soon to start talking war I can well see why Canada wouldn't want your milk, the USA uses (from memory) around 980 substances banned in the EU, so we wouldn't want it either
I personally feel a lot of people are not in tune with the way Trump does things, he's the sort of Al Capone of politics much as his detractors would love to be here saying all there pre election forecasts have come true, the dollar is used as fire lighters, the stock market has plummeted making the Wall St crash look like a walk in the park etc etc, but of course none of this happened so they now look like idiots, same thing is happening in the UK with Brexit, so what are they left with character assassination
I do tend agree that all this has a lot to do with defense, for years many countries have not been pulling there weight in defense spending, leaving the USA to pick up the bill, and Trump is now, in his own unique way, redressing the balance It's a bit like watching a high speed car chase, at some point you it crash & burn but it's fun while it lasts
I had to look up NAFTA, didn't see anything about NZ in it, seems to me as an outsider looking in that it's a case of the pot calling the kettle black I stand to be corrected if I'm missing something here
ElvenSmitten, yay keep going, you're making yourself look more of a pratt, it's obvious you know sweet FA about how the health service works, oh of course you don't have one. Retired expats in Spain who've never worked here or contributed to the Spanish health service have there bills paid by the NHS in the UK, all pay for by a lifetimes national insurance contributions.
"No Uk representation" , wtf are you on about, why would we need UK representation? We live in Spain, in any event we can still vote from here though I suspect most don't as we don't live there, you must be an idiot if you think we moved here to spend our time crying about UK representation.
It's important to treat flies with respect after all they in there turn are very attentive to us humans, I personally only feed mine prawns, it is after all there last meal as they're served in my exclusive mark v fly traps
Usha, from what I can gather the potential suitor's itinerary would be too full of walks on the beach, dancing, eating out, traveling etc etc for there to any time left for such things
RE: "GET IN LINE"..("ON THE BORDER")
LJ, no been nowhere near any jails
