Chat, I really have to laugh at "Earlier in the week a news story hit about Donald's old taxes showing he had lost more than a billion dollars many years ago" I'm an Englishman living in Spain that hasn't seen news on TV for 6 years & I knew about that years ago Firstly anyone in business has to take what advantage they can legally to avoid paying unnecessary tax, all companies do it & why not they're working the system, now campaigning to change the system is something entirely different, at present it's set up to suit those big enough to lobby governments and at the expense of the ordinary citizen who ends up funding the shortfall, this is where Trump comes in, he's not a career politician & part of his campaign was to "drain the swamp", as to whether a billionaire with a vested interest in maintaining the current system is the right choice time will tell. Imo the American people voted for Trump because he was the only candidate that stood for a change from the old guard of corrupt self serving politicians, I look at what's happening in the UK with Brexit & there's a classic example of the old guard at work, therefore the people of the UK will have to vote in someone outside of the norm, hopefully not someone who Tweets in there sleep mind
Friday oh yes so it is I just checked outside for activity........ nothing, but then it's been several weeks since a car went past my house so hard to tell
Chat, I can only talk about this side of the pond but the EU over the last 15 years has turned towns into no go zones for cars, they've put in raised pedestrian crossings (speed bumps) every 50 yards, made the roads narrower, and in Spain they were never big to start with, taken away nearly all the parking places, imo this has nothing to do with road safety but is all about meeting there air quality targets, so ok that does need action but at the same time as making towns ghost towns they've put up taxes for businesses, making it impossible for them to make a living, in my town a shop has a life expectancy of about 6 months, so when you park miles away & walk in the shop you were going to visit is gone
Red, that's the thing, all this really only applies when we're past the point we can action anything ourselves, so reliant on others to make the decisions, left to the current government who couldn't decide what to have for breakfast little chance of any change.
LaFonda, that's another can of worms touched on in another blog about lethal injections, seems drug companies are scared to make such a thing due to worries of a religious comeback, having had to have beloved pets put down in the past I know such things are possible but may require an adjustment in people's mindsets to make it happen
Maybe satire but how far from the truth, these people really do believe they're exempt Below link for real story about actress Emma Thompson flying from LA to London to take part in climate change riots.
Biff, you'll never please everyone but those that don't want to be tortured when on death's door should have the option to ask for help (in advance of course) to end it quickly & without repercussions to those involved, for me the sooner religion is removed from government, in favour of logic, the better
Jac, since writing this blog this very scenario happened to a friend's mother, she lasted weeks so any of the previous comments on the blog about this process being quick can be disregarded as they don't represent reality. The problem with your solution is due to the law any involvement of other people is going to land them in prison, we now know due to the Brexit debacle that governments can not be trusted to make decisions the people want or are in there best interests
Chat, yes rubber extremely vulnerable, they used to attach the plastic tube to the can with a rubber band, that rotted away as soon as you used it once. It was popular in the UK in the 70's, everyone was spraying over there car engines to make them shiny, a month later all the hoses would disintegrate
I disagree with what WD 40 stands for it's Weapon (of) Destruction 40 (days), and was designed for military use, spray it near a vehicle & 40 days later you have to change every bit of rubber on the vehicle
I haven't watched the vid but can tell you my school even back in the 50's was so far left my history teacher was the local Communist parliamentary candidate
Bellanna, the test for my car comes up mid summer, it doesn't rain in August here so last year I cleaned the car the day before, imagine my shock the next morning when I went to drive it to the test center & found we'd had a shower overnight that had dumped half a ton of sand from the Sahara onto it you could barely see it was a car & certainly couldn't see through the windows, so rain is not always a solution.
Ok, how about any potential dates looking at it & assuming your house (and bedroom) are the same and that you'll have no money as you'll be paying out a fortune in MOT repairs
You could remind yourself that if it goes in for it's MOT looking like that the examiner will assume you don't look after it & will "examine" it till he/she finds something to fail it on
RE: old dog vestibular disease
You don't need to worry about Spanish, all the vets in Motril speak English.
