So using the logic you see sooften on the net these days, both the guy in the article & me are coffee drinkers, therefore memory loss must be down to coffee but never mind I'll have forgotten that by tomorrow
Wen, yes I'm struggling to see any way he can justify what he did, this memory thing sounds like an excuse for his action of leaving her there in the first place, the sad thing is had it been a dog people would have broken into the car to get it out, but you don't expect a baby to be left alone.
Like, details seem a bit sketchy, the article says granddad, but later someone refers to him as being the uncle, but the question I just posted above, is a dodgy memory any excuse for leaving her there, is he claiming he forgot she was there at all or just couldn't be bothered to take her with him.
Memory is funny thing, I like to think I remember in detail things that happened even 60 years ago, but do I I've just had to fill in a form asking questions going right back to my teens years, easy I thought, but turned out not quite as easy as I thought, dates, places, details all merged together making being precise tricky. A classic example, my mother died in 1965, it was a traumatic day & I remember it well, or so thought till my father died about 13 years ago & I had to return to the same crematorium, it was on the other side of London to where I lived, I couldn't even find it, when I did there I looked at it & I'd have sworn I'd never been there before, ok it may have changed a bit over the years but not that much, it's a grave yard & highly unlikely they dug up graves to alter it, my memory of that day was complete fabrication. But is failing memory any excuse for what this man did
You could always ask to borrow the chainsaw to cut more wood for the fire, that would work on several levels, not least the thought of someone else using ones chainsaw
Chat, I think what Molly's referring to is your chicken being chlorinated, seems most in Europe reckon that's unsafe, even though it's the same process there tap water goes through
LJ, now you're not going to try & convince me that any news is news are you as far as this bit of news goes, seeing as all the major outlets appear to be steering clear I'd take that as a sign
I'm confused now, I thought you were American an air force vet bit odd to be supplying news from a Bulgarian web site, but then I suppose they have inside info straight from the Kremlin so a real scoop for you
I'm devastated you knocked out Spain mind, like you the devastation can only go so far as I only found out Spain has a team 2 minutes ago looking up who you're playing against
I first heard about this must 45 years ago, when the book on it was first published, a friend said read this, it was quite convincing, but then some years after that a TV documentary took it pieces chapter by chapter digging out the real facts rather than the best seller version, for example the squadron you mention, was a training flight as I recall, in bad weather, & they basically flew in the wrong direction, a tragic accident but no mystery whatsoever, basically the fake news of it's day, now around every 10 years it resurfaces to a new audience, these days no doubt accompanied by many youtube vids
It does seem most odd that so many have taken to such a vocal dislike of someone they've never met one wonders why they aren't up in arms against other presidents responsible for mass murder of political opponents & there own people, as far as I know Trump never personally killed anyone, whereas you don't have to look very far to find those that did, but they seem to rate only the odd mention here & there
Rachie, as far as the law is concerned it's the total solution, but like all things legal it'll never work that way. if a Muslim wife is living with a wife beater or in a family where only Sharia law is recognised just getting to court is going to be an issue, they will need places of safety to live both before & after the divorce, I can see it being similar to witness protection with a complete new life in a different area.
LJ, I'm not sure you see the relevance of the case Rachie mentioned, Sharia law doesn't exist in the UK, it's Sharia courts, the law was not until today recognised under UK law, but the ruling mentioned now means Muslim women can go to a UK court and get a just settlement for divorce under UK law, bet they didn't see that one coming by recognising the Muslim (non legal marriage under UK law) marriage as a form marriage like any other the UK courts can now deal with it in the normal way.
I found an old article showing what a Sharia court looks like & does, I only got part way into it as it as the first few paragraphs were enough to show me something needs to be done & now it has been, some good news for a change
As a follow on from this blog topic, I'm forever reading articles in the papers about scientists trying to reverse the aging process, now whilst it would be great to be 20 again this can only go one of two ways, millions of 20 year old (looking) people dying of old age, or people living longer/forever, can anyone imagine a world with the population doubling every generation green would disappear from the planet, the whole lot concreted over for housing, food shortages etc, it would be a living nightmare, then someone will be blogging about the system they use to decide who has to die today
Virgo, I can see exactly where you're coming from & seen similar situations, personally I'd like to be able to choose whether to have that type of surgery, and I suppose to a point you can if you're well enough to insist, however for those beyond arguing with doctor/family it's then the difficult choice of pressing on with medical treatment or losing them immediately, maybe medical science is in limbo between having gone so far but then not far enough to make a real difference in some cases
M4, I think that may be the crux of the problem, seems we've all got into the mindset of keeping a body alive because we can, maybe the answer is to let those with no hope go naturally without medical intervention, hard as it is for love ones who naturally want to keep them as long as possible, but all that's for them & nothing to do with patient welfare
Not what it seems, or is it ?
Biff, yes, seems we'll take action for a dog, but maybe assume nobody would leave a child for more than seconds in this heat
