The Isolation Blog

Molly, I have to laugh, the mayor of Motril always visits the local village fiesta, she's so worried about what the locals think about her she has all the pot holes in road to town fixed and the undergrowth cut back the week before and arrives with 2 dozen armed police rolling on the floor laughing

The Isolation Blog

News - A huge surprise, politicians in Spain have voted not to reduce their pay during the crisis, it was suggested a 30% cit would help them realise what others are going through mumbling

The Isolation Blog

Molly, anyone here coughs and the police drag them off uh oh as a smoker a whole shopping trip without one cough is quite hard laugh

Merc, they have to have the virus before they can make a vaccine, making the vaccine is the easy bit, testing it is the problem, plus if the virus mutates it won't work, same as flu vaccines. I know the UK had a vaccine last month and it was going to France for the first stage of testing, the Germans also have one, it was said Trump tried to buy the company so the US would have exclusive access to it doh

The Isolation Blog

Luke, I know of one CS blogger who has lost connection here completely this morning, we had a thunderstorm last night and that may have done more damage than first thought.

The Isolation Blog

Merc, as I understand it there are several vaccines out there already, but it'll be next year before any are approved as they have to go through all kinds of trials, be a total disaster to inject the world's population with something more dangerous that the virus itself.

The Isolation Blog

Merc, having seen that comment hair fanciers across the globe are now dribbling at the thought wow lets just hope they weren't holding a shopping trolley when they read it, I'll be using one shortly doh laugh

The Isolation Blog

Luke, do you think anyone would notice our rumour amongst the millions already out there dunno laugh

The Isolation Blog

KP, our thoughts are with you, but glad it's you not me laugh

The Isolation Blog

The Isolation Blog

KP, just use crazy emo and we'll understand laugh wine

The Isolation Blog

Molly, I doubt you're restrictions are as severe as ours and even here banks are on the essential list, in London are there any workers that don't work in banking laugh

The Isolation Blog

Pat, I think any government that said it was testing initially is living in fairy land, they're still not testing now till you fall over in the doorway of a hospital, and anyone who's ever watched a documentary on tracing a wanted felon would know they'd never have the resources to trace dozens or hundreds, other than places like China where they probably know every time anyone flushes their toilet .

The Isolation Blog

Molly, yes the papers are posting pictures of it daily, the problem is they cut public transport to discourage people from traveling, but excluded then excluded half the workforce in London from the work ban, so now they have to travel in what few trains are left.

The Isolation Blog

Pat, you say they'll catch up but I'm still looking for an explanation of how Italy and Spain are 25 times worse off than say Germany, and they started before us, and compared to some as much as 200 times more , and yes I'm aware of how families tend to get together more here but even so that's a big discrepancy, it's almost like it's not the same virus.

RE: Roast pork

Problem I found with roasting pork, takes an hour or so to cook it but 6 hours to clean the oven afterwards sigh I gave up roasting as the taste wasn't worth getting covered in that really smelly oven cleaner mumbling

The Isolation Blog

The situation in the UK now looks to be becoming a farce, the government have admitted it's figures for those who have died of the virus only include those that died in a hospital, and even then the numbers are 11 days old as that's how long it takes to produce a death certificate at the moment doh then you have the police going to shops telling them they can't sell the Easter eggs they have in stock as they're not essential items whilst commuters continue to pack into underground trains like sardines in a can doh

The Isolation Blog

Luke, hope you managed to get what materials you need for the work, here we can't even buy a pot of paint.

The Isolation Blog

Pat, Don't get me wrong, I'm not suggesting measures shouldn't have been taken, more are the measures we have in place here the right ones?

The Isolation Blog

V, yes I see what you're saying, but then seems to me, judging by the thousands of medical staff who have the virus, that there may be more risk if one is exposed to the virus multiple times, a sort of cumulative effect, if that is the case then locking families up inside with a member of that family having been exposed might have been a huge mistake, also as it now appears you can catch it more than once that locked up families will constantly reinfect each other.

News today that test kits in bought in by the UK have been contaminated with the virus, so who wants to be tested now doh

The Isolation Blog

Pat, "Basically, you wont see the results for a few weeks"

That's what I'm saying, we're in week 3 and not only have the numbers not stabilised they've increased by 4 times, if isolation works then after the 14 day maximum period between catching it and symptoms (normal being 3 to 5 days) numbers of new cases should fall, they haven't, they're 4x higher now than when we started, I'm feeling we don't have one single fact about this virus, what we have is guesswork from government scientists.

The Isolation Blog

Merc, rolling on the floor laughing wine

The Isolation Blog

GS, laugh very good, but grandparents that can't work Skype wow

The Isolation Blog

V, "It is working"

If it's working why, in week 3 of lockdown, are the numbers 4 times as high now as when we started dunno and why did they feel the need to increase the severity of the lockdown on Monday morning dunno

The Isolation Blog

We're in to week 3 of lockdown and it ain't working, either it doesn't work or they have the period between catching it and becoming serious wrong moping

RE: The manufacturing of ventilators...

Getting the motor industry involved is a good idea, but if you want results fast who better than F1 world champions, 100 hours from first meeting to production of a machine to assist with breathing without a ventilator.

The Isolation Blog

V, more than likely laugh
