The Isolation Blog

V, you're the Star Trek expert, how do I fit an inadvisability cloak to the car confused

The Isolation Blog

V, be glad to, but you'll have to stump up the 30k fine for isolation violation, and serve the prison sentence for working without the appropriate license help they do love a regulation here laugh

The Isolation Blog

Emmmm yum, a toasted cheese and onion sandwich banana whilst everyone was buying toilet rolls I stocked up on cheese, only time will tell who was right rolling on the floor laughing

The Isolation Blog

Red, no quite, the blog is for everyone, only a matter of time before we're all in the same boat, we just happen to be the first with the army out there to make sure we're not going out uh oh

The Isolation Blog

Molly, day two here and they're already talking about how long it will be extended, nobody believes it will end in 15 days, besides in your back to work scenario the whole exercise will have been in vain, only takes one infected person on the loose and the whole cycle begins again.

The Isolation Blog

V, in order to become a toilet roll millionaire you need two things, a supply of toilet rolls uh oh and people with money to buy them, I can't see how companies not involved with food supply can keep running, so how will they pay there staff confused

The Isolation Blog

Red, good for them, unfortunately it's not working like that here, I can't go and check on people who might need something, that's not on the list of things we can do, so whilst I don't doubt it will happen somehow I can't see how legally.

The Isolation Blog

Dani, glad you're happy with your lot applause can't say I share your sentiments but I understand where you're coming from wine

The Isolation Blog

Molly, with the situation here and basically everyone locked up, how is the state going to keep up benefit payments, who exactly is going to pay for it confused

The Isolation Blog

Pat, I worked out 30 years ago that a state pension wouldn't be reliable, so I put another plan into place buying a house to rent out to tourists, but the government has made it impossible to do that any more with ridiculous rules and regulations and taxes etc, by the time everyone's had there cut there's nothing left for all the work it takes very mad

The Isolation Blog

V, just off the top of my head how about this one, I can't see how the world's economy is going to survive this, a few dodgy home loans brought on the last crash, that'll seem like child's play compared to this, so those of us on pensions, which governments would love to be rid of as they've spent the money we put in, might seem ok but what about when inflation starts to bite and toilet rolls cost £300, taxes will go up in line with inflation but pensions will suddenly become fixed help

The Isolation Blog

Pat, seems the elderly who have contributed the most to the health service are about to be ignored by it, I wouldn't want to be a politician come election time if I'd put that into operation very mad

The Isolation Blog

BN, I put a bidet in the house I used to rent out to tourists, far as I can tell from their comments it was used a foot bath, a place to store makeup, a kiddies hand basin but never for what it was intended to be used for, toilet roll has a lot to answer for laugh

The Isolation Blog

germanspitz, yes important for anyone of a certain age or with health issues to isolate themselves regardless of the law, I can't say I'd want to be in a crowd at the moment either, just a tad hard to be told you can't see anyone, not that there's anything to see where I am, looked out this morning over my mountain and not a sole in site, so no change there laugh

The Isolation Blog

V, it's only day two and I'm close laugh

The Isolation Blog

germanspitz, thanks, I reckon we're all going to have to laugh about it even though on the face of it it's not funny sigh

The Isolation Blog

V, now come on, we have time on our hands, you must be able to come up with a way to make toilet paper reusable dunno uh oh

The Isolation Blog

Luke, it's crazy, as usual the people we pay to make the decisions are too busy gathering in the bar having a drink to think things through properly, here you can walk your dog long enough for it to do the business, but only one person can do that, a couple who are sleeping in the same bed aren't allowed to walk the dog together, or go to the shops, that can only be one person doh

The Isolation Blog

Pat, I'm told steak and kidney pies are very hard to get these days, gone out of fashion, but you could corner what's left of the market professor

The Isolation Blog

Pat, Merc is rushing your way as we speak laugh beer

The Isolation Blog

V wow you've gone down hill rapidly since we last met doh rolling on the floor laughing

On the toilet roll survey, I seem to be the odd one out as I use very little uh oh am I sick uh oh

The Isolation Blog

String, sorry to hear that, my personal favourite F1 won't even be starting by the looks of it sigh here yesterday the police physically shut down the golf course, they were out playing as though nothing had happened wow

The Isolation Blog

Merc, banana I have a two year supply of toilet rolls head banger ........... but I'm not allowed to share them with you sigh moping

The Isolation Blog

Merc, thanks, it's an odd situation, like something from a zombie movie, it's not till you can't go out that you realise how much being able to is worth sigh

The Isolation Blog

Merc, you've come to right place, there's 40 plus million of us here in Spain with nothing to do, I'm sure someone can help with your desperate ying yang situation professor wave

The Isolation Blog

My next door neighbours have found themselves in a difficult position, an English couple who for reasons beyond their control have ended up with one of them here and the other in the UK, they now of course have no way of getting back together doh

Virus news - Italy closed till at least April 3rd.

Red, there aren't any other folk to avoid, the police are using helicopters to spot anyone breaking the rules and a 30k euro fine, quite how you'll get the fine I don't know, I doubt there is any post at the moment doh

Virus news - Italy closed till at least April 3rd.

Word from the Spanish government at last, we're all basically under house arrest from 8.00 Monday.

"All movement will be restricted to leaving your home solely for essential reasons (force majeure) such as for buying food, going to the pharmacy or attending a medical centre under certain conditions.

Staying at home does not mean going for a walk, visiting friends or relatives, although in the case of visiting aged relatives who need help over personal hygiene and feeding themselves, etc, is permitted.

From Monday, all shops that are not food shops will close, as will bars and restaurants. There will also be restrictions on purchasing food supplies to stamp out panic buying. Resupplying food shops, pharmacies and gasolineras is guaranteed.

You can also leave home to go to work where it is not possible to work from home. However, many companies have decided to close their doors for the duration.

The government now has direct control over all police forces, regional and national and control over Spanish military personnel and resources has been transferred to the Ministry of the Interior from the Ministry of Defence.

Summing up, from Monday you can only be out onto the street if you are out purchasing food, medicine, require medical attention, are taking care of the aged or the handicap who require assistance, or are on your way to work. You can also take your dog for a walk, logically.

The Spanish Constitution also contemplates imposing fines when a State of Alarm (Alert) is in force. Details over what actions could receive a fine and the quantity have still not been made public.

As far as travelling to work by car, you can only go alone; i.e., only one person in the car and must return to your place of residence that same evening.

Luke, yep that's how it goes sigh was talking to V earlier wondering what sort of treatment you'll get there if it does strike dunno

Virus news - Italy closed till at least April 3rd.

Riz, far as I'm aware it's just Italy doing that, but I take the point that us that built the world they live in shouldn't be treated like second class citizens mumbling
