I make a shake with banana, egg, vanilla and milk when I feel not hungry enough to eat something proper but need a bit of energy. Have never tried to fry or cook it. Your icy breakfast sounds tasty but definitely not early in the morning.
I have lived in places with temperatures like that and know it is not very pleasant. It makes you feel tired all the time. We had a swimming pool at the one house but the water was so warm that swimming did not cool you off. We use to swim at night when it was a bit cooler.
So just like any other religion politics and money is mightier than religion. Like any other religion it looks good on paper but in real life none of it works.
I don't understand why men and women are like that so think I am a lost case. Suspect I am too much of a man to understand women and too much of a woman to understand men.
There is very little support for elderly people in our country as well. It is mostly religious organizations taking it on them to try and help. That is why I don't walk with the ban religion crowd. I often think about that as I grow older. It is hard to grow old but harder to grow old alone especially without even family close by.
Well...I take nothing but paracetamol or aspirin, have not seen a doctor in 15 years and am still alive and healthy. Maybe it is just good genes or, maybe I am someday just going to drop dead due to ignoring possible high blood pressure, cholesterol or cancer cells busy growing in my body. My mother takes a hand full of tablets every day and she is forever complaining about her health.
Also think it depends more on the person than the culture. My grandmother always took something with when visiting people and we all still do that. Agree with Lonely when it comes to expensive gifts from a man you don't except it unless you know and love that man.
It beats me how a government can decide to enhance your drinking water with anything they think should be good for you. How can you know what else is maybe in the water. Luckily our government is too stupid and too busy spending money on themselves to worry about enhancing our water. Hard enough for them to just give us more or less clean drinking water.
My purpose in life was always to be useful. You have all this life inside you and to not use it for something or just to repeat the same things over and over is not right. For some there is maybe a higher purpose but for me it is just doing and experiencing whatever I can with the abilities and talents I have.
Have found that knowledge sometimes just make life more complicated. The knowing is inside us. Books and people can only point us in a direction. They cannot give us any kind of ultimate truth or make our lives complete.
I find it interesting when people have different opinions. Sometimes someone comes up with something that you have never thought about before. Some opinions are ridiculous and amusing so there is a lot of learning and entertainment value in different opinions.
The only reason why religion is causing so much problems is that they gave "God" a name and personality. No one in his right mind can take any of the existing religion created gods seriously.
Most of the time little things can be more fun than major things. I went to Europe on my own once and it was not half the fun I thought it would be. No one understood English...or they pretended not to so getting anywhere was a nightmare. Now I stick to taking back roads and visiting remote little towns in my own country.
Agree with Socrates...the time is wrong...actually the whole prediction is wrong as the second earthquake was not as bad as the first one....if you count the dead bodies. According to the prediction it was suppose to be worse than the first one. Also not so sure Nepalese worship demons or ancestral spirits...are they not mostly Buddhists? Africa fits the bill a lot better.
There is still on hand drawn ferry in our country that I know of. It can take 4 cars at a time. I was exploring some back roads when I discovered it so decided to give it a go just for the fun of it. The price was definitely not in cents so glad I need not use that road on a regular basis.
It works. I did that many years ago to keep the mail I don't trust separate from my other mail. I only made one mistake. It shows the name Griet when they get mail from me and sometimes it needs a bit of explaining when the dodgy ones turn out to be real people.
I am guilty of viewing and not commenting. Sometimes the blogs are too old to comment as I am not on here on a daily basis. Sometimes I just have nothing to say so I don't say anything.
Looking at the photos I kind of think it is taking off the grid a bit too far. The children look great but how are they ever going to adjust in the outside world.
I don't know if I am sensitive or not. All I know is I have learned to control it. Sensitivity is a tool that you should only use when it serves you. In certain situations you need to be sensitive but in other it is mostly a burden that can drag you down. It is much like emotions...you can shut it down when you don't need it.
