I wish I could feel like you about looking after parents. When your mother is the most dangerous person but also the person you care the most about it becomes very complicated.

I wonder about this one and not so sure it is true. Too many damaged people due to having loved and lost that love. When you have lost your innocence your feeling of love is always tainted with doubt and the expectation of loss. So is it better...I don't know. For a few maybe....but when l look at the people around me, I think the damage done are more than the benefits they got out of loving someone more than anyone else.

Haven't you heard...only 30% of cancers is smoke related. More people die in road accidents and of knife wounds than cancer in my small community and it is all due to the consumption of alcohol. Actually all road accidents here are made by drunken drivers. Yet it is good and fun to drink but you are a mass murderer if you dare to smoke within 5 meters of other people.

I was also bitten by a dog as child and could never fully trust a dog again in my life. Won't go near strange dogs and won't touch them unless I am absolutely sure they are not hungry for me.

People who marry in church also get divorced. It is still people that are involved so whether it is a holy or unholy union they have no guarantee that it will last forever.

It is actually better to rather say no as you can change your no to a yes and all will be happy. Changing yes to no when you really cannot make is not that easy.

No one can give it to you. You must find it within yourself and most of the time you will have to do that alone. Someone to guide you towards inner peace is not that easy to find so don't wait for that to happen.

50/50 sounds like the best solution but it is not at all as someone earning a huge salary is going to expect to be able to have and do things someone with a small salary cannot afford. The fact you can maybe afford half a mansion, half a luxury car and rump steak each day does not mean I can afford the other half. Especially with day to day expenses the one with the most expensive taste ends up paying half but getting far more than half. For instance why must I pay half of your extra large rump steak and expensive whiskey while I must settle for chicken nuggets and a beer in order to afford to pay half of the meal.

If you know what you can do best and do it you will always be happy in your job. If you do a job well you have enough reason to be proud of yourself even if you are just a cleaner.

It is not beneficial at all for women to get divorced as with the children she is carrying most of the financial burden. She can't really date or meet other men for lack of free time and men kind of avoid dating single moms as they don't want the whole package. If men treat their wives right they won't leave.

The sudden lack of communication happens all the time. Men do it as well. They contact you and just when you get really interested they stop answering your mail. Good thing I decided being single is not so bad as I don't want to be still looking 8 years from now.

I agree with Wallops only respond if they mention something about my profile or where I live. The how are you doing mail gets delete as the communication starting with how are you doing never gets better. They are usually the one liners who just waste your time.

There are things you cannot compromise on so don't even try as it is only going to end in resentment and unhappiness. Work on the things you can change and accept some of the minor imperfections but never accept the unacceptable in another just to please someone else. That is what I have learned the hard way in my life.

I would prefer paying for myself so I don't feel obligated to spend the whole time with him if I don't like him within the first day. Think offering to pay half would be nice and fair to both when meeting the first time.

Killing people for taking drugs OUT of the country They are spending money to remove drugs from a country and are then rewarded by getting killed by the government they are actually helping in their fight against drugs. Something seriously wrong here I suspect.

I don't think people act normal during a war situation. Some people reach the limit of being a civilized human being far sooner than others...but think we all have it in us to become monsters. It all depends on what we are exposed to for how long.

It seems like people in Johannesburg cannot shoot as well as people in Durban. After that little boy was dragged along while hanging outside the car and my brother had been hit over his head and thrown out of the car and my son was held at knife point and thrown our of the car on the mountain near Worcester, in the middle of the night...I vote for kill car hijackers as they have no regard for human life.

Anger is just another emotion and should not be treated as anything special. It feeds on attention so it is simple. Don't give it attention and it will die of starvation pretty soon.

Life takes unexpected turns sometimes and it can throw us off balance for a while. Luckily you had the strength to straiten things up again but some never do. Like Ichy said we can never know how life would have been if some things never happened.
