True. There are some things we cannot escape even if we were to will against it happening to us. True too...freewill and opportunity are not the same. So can I ask, is freewill...freewill? In other words, is my ability to exercise my freewill the same as a billionaire's ability to exercise their freewill if I were living very poorly and relying on others because the cost of living is so high and I have no other choice but to do that?
CC...interesting about freewill and the association with dreams. You know, I was told once...if you have a question about something, ask God before you go the sleep and you will get your answer in your dream. If it were not for a couple of people I had deep respect for, I most likely would not have tried it. However, I did try it once and I did actually get my answer. It came in a symbolic way in my dream. The bottom line...maybe we do have freewill with dreams... ...just some contemplating. Maybe there is something totally I am missing with this whole blog when it comes to freewill.
Rob...I totally agree with the approach of compassion to life's untraveled road(s) ahead and the ones traveled behind us. ...and karma... Just a thought though, what if one were caught up in the wrong moment at the wrong time and when one's freewill is to exercise compassion but the threatening deranged individual wants none of that. (and you have no way of escaping).
...or...
Well, I think I can continue on with many examples where one's freewill is being impeded upon...even in legal ways.....due to a lack of resources....lack of knowledge...
Hello Robert...it was a good Easter. I was able to spend it with my family, so not much more one can ask for. I hope your Easter was well too. I always look forward to your stories....thank you for taking the time to share them.
LaF....I agree with that. For the most part, we do have choices. But in some cases, some have so little that they may not have many choices...in some extreme cases/situations...maybe none at all.
Hello Fargo...I wonder how widespread situations like that happen and yet we are fed the idea we have freewill. I wonder if it means we only have freewill when freewill applies. Don't get me wrong, I think for the most part we have freewill, but I don't think we have total freewill all the time.
Hello Dio....I totally agree. I wonder how it would be that if some choices that needed to be chose....could not be chosen...because the one choosing lacked the ability to make it happen...wonder how that works out in life.
Hello Merc...it was really an eye opener. There was so much she told me....one from my perspective had asked why, how...and maybe contemplated the thought that she had been the maker of her own situation. But...as soon as I put her shoe on and took mine off.
I used to think we were the sum of our decisions in life....and do believe that holds true for the most part. But there are some decisions where there are no choices....now I see.
I tried living with not respecting him for 4 days and the weight that brought to my life was next to impossible to live with. I am not that type of person.
The latest with this situation is that I apologized to him. I will not become a hateful and angry person. I will still use rational thought and reason.
Chell...I kind of wonder too if you did not get Covid due to your shots. I have hear of it before where people caught the virus right after their shots.
...sorry to hear about you lack of sleep...sounds like a familiar story to me
Validity of Freewill
Rob...that sounds absolutely terrible. I hope things get sorted out for you. It sounds very complicated.
