Hmmm Usha...that could have been where that dream originated. I know in my dream I wanted to go and get my gun, remembering if I were to place the shot perfectly in their heads, they would die. But, I never seem to have been able to get that weapon.

Merc, do you have any underlying problems? In other words, are you staying in doors? I got out a little in my car. I have been getting things that keep me occupied in my home. I really miss pool league though. But, there are ways around that too. When you get lemons, there is the possibility of lemon aide....when summer gets here....we will see how much I will enjoy the inside isolation. Not sure it will happen.

YSA, wilderness living can be okay, I suppose. I like hot water in a bathtub I can soak in for 30 minutes or so...on demand. Or hot food with just a walk to the fridge and to the stove or microwave. There is no doubt, I have become very lazy with technology. But, I think living in nature would be doable, as long as we are not in the middle of WWIII/Global Civil War.

I don't have much to offer Usha...just some bragging here and there. My eyes are not that great, there is just a decent size scope on the gun.

Right Mark. It is funny as I bring this blog to light, I have CNN on in the background. They were just talking about planning for the worse....rather than just hoping the worse won't happen.

Some other tips...from some shows I have seen. I have never really studied too closely the art of survival in the wilderness.


....dry feet are important

....matches/lighters/something for fire

....a metal pot for cooking/boiling water

....some sort of sharp tool

....knowledge of making a waterproof shelter

That is a deal too Mark. Isn't it something how affordable solar has become. I never knew. I was never really interested in looking too much into solar...well...until just now. I have a friend of mine who is really into solar, but I never really tuned in too closely. Shame on me. I am glad you are sharing your knowledge.

Mark, I really like how small this unit is. I wish I would have seen this before buying my solar panels, because I most likely would have bought this unit and then bought the required solar panel to charge it. I will wait and see what I get with my panels. Supposedly, I don't need batteries. But, it would be nice to have a unit that can be charged up for emergencies.

I am more of an old timer though. I have stupid VCR tapes and stupid DVD's....I am actually getting to the point where my DVD player is starting to take a pooh. :( You are setting well Robert. Don't you have a dog? I don't have that. You might be sitting pretty good there. You might have a legitimate reason to leave your home if the doors get locked up...they allow you to walk your dog. Me, I will be lucky to see the sunlight through a window.

I think most likely you are right. Did you have a blog last night? Oh yeah, I seen it earlier today and it was gone before I could comment. I bought like 30 movies I have not seen before. And, I bought some new felt and rails for my pool table...and, I also had some left over inventory that was just sitting around. So, I think I have about a month's worth of interesting things to do before I start loosing my marbles.

I took 7th in a marksman contest a friend of mine puts on around here....if that counts for anything. But, I have yet to ground anything that could have been put on the plate for food. But when push comes to shove, we have a lot of deer around here.
