It's good to know that a blog can be an opener for someone to share their experiences and put things into perspective as to what" known fear" actually does mean to people who have or ,as I said , are still experiencing it.
We cannot randomly dismiss such fears by thought process. Some people never get over their past ,even with help. It's a stigma that can stay a lifetime and ,although can be controlled to a certain degree, it never truly leaves the human mind completely unfortunately.

Thanks for your response. I and my partner are easy going people with hopefully no prejudices and take responsibility for our own and others lives.
I don't feel that because we chose to have a double vaccine that I am part of some grand scheme and that I have been "poisoned" as some will state. I live life to the full and am satisfied and happy and choose not to dwell on past events or even future ones. I live for the day, my partner family and pets, and if I wake up breathing I'm happy.

These were my thoughts when writing the blog re how people deal with "known" fears and there are many who have had, and are still dealing with difficult situations in their lives.
Telling people to be strong and think positive when one's life has been that of perpetual fear is almost like a condescending pat on the head and a "There there, dear you'll be ok."
I can't begin to understand the trauma that you experienced and are probably still having to deal with as you go through life. Having the courage to share your story, as you have probably done before, goes some way towards healing ,but never having experienced an abusive childhood only one of parental love it's hard for me to even begin to imagine your childhood.

Most folks are already questioning the rationale of opening up the U.K ,especially in holiday resorts where the flood gates have opened due to the extremely hot weather we are now having.

Both idiots in my opinion. During the World cup they were both in the pub watching all the matches then went on holiday to Bridlington in the pubs up there and came back with positive tests even though they have both had the vaccine, [ which is fortunate for them as they haven't got it so bad ] but only after they had been wandering around the area, taken their neighbours out who then also had to self isolate missing his hospital appointment as he has C.O.P.D
We had the same problem last year, no Covid in the area then the Council in it's wisdom wanting to bring money into the area, opened up the flood gates and let all the holiday makers back in after August and the rate went up. It's never about safety it's about money as always, so we have to tolerate hoards of people crowding and not wearing masks and that was during lockdown at times whenever the sun came out.
I'm sick of having to stay safe because of other people's lack of care.
No oppression in my area .People flock here for their holidays and guess what the rate has soared yet again. My neighbours 2 doors away have both been told to isolate as they coronavirus

Your comment re the Germans reminded me of the film The Great Escape with Steve Mcqueen. I often wondered what the fate of the German Officer was who was released from command of the concentration camp.

We don't have to look far from home do we ,and as for pets I've just lost my bestie to liver cancer and am so lost without her .Such a special rescue dog.
